+Max Power Well, I'm still interested in building my canoe but I think that it will "just" be a work of art. In the mean time I have purchased two polypropaline kajaks to paddle around in. If they get scratched, I don't care. I live in Germany and my canoe bits are here. But I bought my kajaks in Canada an that is where I do my paddling. I don't get onto the water much but that makes it special. (Formerly JustaSmuck but Google forced a name change)
John-Peter Hundt , I have a few projects like that, tools and parts just waiting for time for me to get to them. I'll be more busy in retirement than I am while still in the workforce!
I've been told that having projects for your retirement is the secret of a long and happy life so enjoy both the projects and a long and happy life.

part1을 보니 hull 만드시고 유리섬유 올리고 난 후의 동영상을 보니 8분 54초 부분에 air가 차있더라구요...ㅠㅠ
유리섬유에 에폭시 수지를 바르고 그 위에 한번 더 Peelply를 겹치고 쇠로된 롤러로 air가 없게 꼼꼼하게 눌러줘야 합니다.
Peelply는 에폭시 수지가 다 마르고 난 후에 쉽게 벗겨집니다. 나중에 air가 있는 부분이 깨지면서 방수가 깨질수가 있어서요.^^

oh man i cant hold myself till end of the video, now its 6:40 and another Dave Matthews track is playing, i dont know why but this made me happy by the way canoe is great handwork. Is it fiberglass ply that you apply on it or something else

Wood stick with screw fastening, so many holes will not cause strength hidden trouble?

Tuff to find, but "Woodsong Canoes" sells on Esty. He has a primo artwork Ebony stripper(his second this time with Ebony with some brown streaks) a 140,000.oo$$ boat. Did a lot of looking on the internet to find his high priced creations. I personally have built 22 canoes since 1967,now on very high-end#23. My current progect is a design of point plotted waterline developement. A finished 3/8" Balsa(cut& coped from1/2" plained boards from 11ft. stock from "TEC" Tropical Exoitic Hardwoods at 8.50/bd./ft.) core with bookmatched Ziricote veneer (Certainly Wood out of N.Y.). Trust me this is a major engineering nitemare. Half to see the final results but 40,000$ sale price is a starting point.
