You guys got the true Oregon experience with all that rain. Wish y’all had gotten a few more sunny days though, the Oregon coast when it’s not raining is absolutely stunning (so like 15 days a year).
I live in the Willamette valley, and have visited and shot film at most of the places in this video. It was super cool to see one of my favorite photography creators shoot at the same places I have and to see the difference in what we thought was worth shooting! Great vid

Boy I have been there in the 1990ies on a short little trip from SFO via Seattle, Vancouver, Banff, Calgary, Galcier National Park, Yellowstone, Salt Lake City, Sacramento... I would have totally forgotten Sasquatch County Camping without your video! Besides this nostalgia, I really enjoy your videos featuring nostalgic cameras.
What a trip - the hotel rooms, restaurants, and campfires really provided atmosphere. To say nothing of the sky and rain. Some really nice shots in there. That is a trip I would like to take some time.
Jason, you've got me jonesing for a Hassy so bad. I have a couple of the Zeiss V-mount lenses in my collection that need a body. I really appreciate your videos and your dry humor. I enjoy your photographs as well. Thanks for taking me along.
Glad you got to visit my home state, I'm surprised you didn't go up to Mt. Hood. This year was especially wet, then summer came and it's bone dry now. That drive on I5 South to at least Eugene is painfully boring.
Calling the Hasselblad "Hassie" really amps up the dog analogy in the intro for me, though I have a feeling it'd probably be a lot less effective at going to find the local sheriff if Jason gets stuck down a well on one of these road trips...
When shooting XX, I just call it what it is: Kodak XX, aka Kodak 5222. The HP5+ @ EI1600 was interesting, looked alright. Will be shooting a 1920s restored theater, with F5, Rolleiflex, and Mamiya M645 Pro. Interiors with available light, only concern is grain. Who does your processing? I enjoy doing my own for 43 years, but doing too many projects at the moment to concentrate on that. You should try Rollei 25 Orthochromatice. It’ll rock your world.
One thing about the Hassy, the more big ass accessories and filter holders and crap you put on it the more bad ass and intimidating it becomes. People are like, oh you must be a photographer!?! Another thing is, that camera takes the sharpest photos I’ve ever seen. For wide angle, do the 40mm CF T lens. It doesn’t get better, and is super linear.

Sitting your Hassy on that post gave me a panic attack. I lost a good polerizer filter while on a bridge taking a photo of a waterfall. Tried to screw it on my lens and it slipped out of my hand falling down to the stream below, hit a rock and sunk into the water. I still miss it today.
We need an accessories line of grainydays honey rimmed sunglasses - complete with p400 piss yellow, cine halation delight, and grain inducing HP5 lens options.

As I can see from one of the images in the video, you are also using a Hasselblad PME90 prism viewfinder. I borrowed such a viewfinder and exchanged it on my camera (501 CM) for the waist-level viewfinder. Question: If I want to take it off again, do I have to press the small lever on the left side of the viewfinder first?

Haha I forgot about the Oregon gas station rule. I have many memories in Washington of people standing at the gas pump completely bewildered not knowing what to do, and then it all makes since when you see the Oregon plates on their car

@@dlorp. The Elan 7 will do a fine job. Since it is Canon, you have so many great choices for lenses. Put your money there first.
