Best combo of deadpan, sarcasm, existential philosophy and film photography on the internet. Your photographs are actually inspiring. Makes me want to go out and shoot more film, like I did in the 90s.
The 3-D outro photos are not getting any appreciation and that should be a crime, they are sick. Im looking forward to them every video. PS: I also love your title thing at the beginning of the videos where you mention all the neat info
@@erradicator1 I've done similar work with Premiere and Photoshop - pretty much isolating each subject in a picture, giving them their own layer, and adding slow varied movement. Though they never looked as good as these outros, they're amazing.

Hi Jason, I just wanted to say that I'm really happy for you that you got the tx-1!! You have great videos and I like your sense of humour. I'm from Croatia but I have friends in California and I am going to San Francisco this summer so maybe we can shoot few rolls one day if you want! Have fun with the new camera!
These are all local spots for me. Really cool to see you shoot here. All good stuff. You're very inspiring. And your commentary... lmao. Love your work.
If you want to shoot film panorama without breaking the bank, there are some decent point and shoot cameras that offer a panoramic mode. I've taken them to the Sierras and have gotten some pretty decent shots that I would have with my 35mm of medium format cameras.
@@ReimannPembroke Pretty much any medium format camera can be adapted. You either need to have the necessary adapter 3d printed, or you just need to buy them. They are available in some regions. There are plenty of videos on UA-cam explaining the process.

Pigeon Point light house is one of my favorite places ive ever been. the owner of the hostel grew up in utah and knew my aunt. thank you for bringing back special memories
I think the flock of birds position in frame is perfect imo I even noticed that from right to left each birds wing flap after one another makes a perfect flying cycle wow
Great video, makes me wish I could go on a road trip again with friends. Or have friends for that matter. What a productive trip, you shot it all. Selling Baxter when you got home to pay for all that film was sad. Oh sorry that didn't happen. My fridge full of film is crying right now, "let me out"!
@21:06 is probably my favorite guitar shop in the (sort of) Bay Area (The Tall Toad, Petaluma, CA). I was awe stuck to see it pop up out of no where in this video.
Your videos have really chilled my mind (or maybe it's just numbness from the incessant lo-fi Epidemic drone). I can now fall asleep in seconds (of your videos beginning!!!). Cheers dude!
Good stuff. I see your Hopper vibe, especially the pier at 5:00. Love that shot. Pleez, hold the button down for an additional 1000 count on your landscapes. You are leaving color on the table!
Here in DC there was a camera store (Penn Camera) that had a Hasselblad X-Pan for rent, which I did a couple times. When they had their closing sale I went looking to buy it, but somebody made a blanket offer for all their rental gear and I had a big sad.
Damn how did I just come across this channel. Subbed and liked, excited for the pano shots. Ever since I got my xpan it’s been an amazing time using it
The TX-1 is my ultimate "can't justify it in any way, I wouldn't use it for work, my wife would kill me if I spent a mortgage payment on a camera" camera. God, I want one so bad.
If you ever find your way out to Los Osos, or Guadalupe look for the elven dwarf oak forest in Los osos, and the Oso Floco Dunes in Guadalupe, also, really good tacos and burritos in Guadalupe. Great little town.
How do you store your 35mm film? The way I store mine, is when I buy a new pack, I unbox it and wrap the cans in paper (inside the plastic can), and label it according to it's brand and ISO. And ant exposed film, I grab a paper strip, write some information on the strip on what I shot, and put it around the can, and then wrap it in paper and store it in the fridge until I get ready to develop it.
Jason, this was fun. I've been following for a while and find it interesting to observe how you look at the world. Thanks for taking me along. That TX1 is sure a pricey beast! I'll have to save my shekels for a bit to be able to afford one. Was that the 45mm on your rig?
Thanks for reminding me of the ever-present beauty that lingered in the background of the four years I spent in San Luis Obispo suffering through engineering school. I hope you guys went to Splash Cafe for your clam chowder ;)
I just want to let you know that I really enjoy watching your videos. I have been kind of ill and feeling down during the last year and I always look forward to seeing your videos. Great.. I guess I’m going to spend the day researching TX-1s and X-Pans before not buying one lol great video and images as always dude
They are really expensive. I guess a more economical way to get panorama pictures on 135 is to load it into a medium format camera
