I have a sheepadoodle. She is so chill. Everyone has the same question: has she always been this calm? Yup. Since she was a puppy she just sits and watches the world. She's 2 years and 3 months old.
I've had 5 sheepdogs throughout my life. Absolutely the best temperament. Only downside is grooming costs. I'd love to find a sheepadoodle. I'm looking for my last dog.
Our OES is super chill. Very calm for the most part. She does get a little barky when excited. And very very attached to her people. She’s 2 and never runs off from her people like our last high energy dog (catahoula leopard dog). She has to be wherever we are. But her coat does take daily brushing and regular trimming of paws and bottom. We trim her down a couple times a year to stay cooler... and have less brushing.
I have never seen a dog be so relaxed during a grooming. Especially when trimming around the eyes and such. No pulling away, no barking, nothing. Amazing. Perhaps it is because she can sense the confidence this groomer has in herself.
Ours is calm. She’s been getting ‘groomed’ since a puppy. They learn that it’s just a regular thing! Sometimes she gets tired of being on the grooming table.. she knows what ‘let’s go fix your ponytail’ means and trots to the grooming table every morning.

She reminds me of a pair of them when I was a kid. Every spring they'd be shaved down, the hair would be kept thin/short until near the end of summer when the owners let it grow again. Their idea was that it was good for them so they'd be warm in winter and not too warm in summer. No idea if that's true, but it was my introduction to the fact that there was such a thing as a dog groomer :) She's adorable and looks like a puppy at the end!
I miss my OES Pretty Boy Floyd. I was a kid and would put him on top of the picnic table to shave him myself. He was sooo good! Had terrible separation anxiety though.
I grew up with an old English sheepdog. She was my big sister ! She was so calm and protective ! even with our cat, my guinea pig and the other children of the neighborhood. Everybody in the street knew that we were in security when the dog was here, especially the small children. A living loving soft toy (so fluffy !) with a golden heart. Perfect bread for family with children and others pets or animal.🥰
@@Burning_Dwarf a chum of mine spins dog fur with sheep's wool. She uses a number of dog breeds, as her husband is a veterinarian. The sheep's fleece stabilizes the dog fur for a lovely yarn, which she can then knit.
As a child I worked for a groomer who spun beautiful yarn and wove shawls from some dogs fur, which she usually sold to the owner. I didn’t know enough at the time to ask if only some breeds made good yarn. She was a true ‘country’ woman, passed away many years ago.
Actually, it does (not all breeds -- those with short fur don't work). I'm a Spinner/Weaver/Dyer, and I've used my dog's fur for spinning and weaving. Any breed that has a nice long undercoat works very well. As someone said below, it works better mixed with wool for better stability.
She looks pretty now, love her face. I have used Dirty Dog shampoo by Nature’s Choice for almost 20 years now, it is the only shampoo I buy. It’s soap free, but you would never know that. It lathers up so well, cuts the grease in their coat, and smells so clean. I have NEVER had even one dog have any reaction or itching from it. It’s highly concentrated, 50/1, you just need to thoroughly rinse it out. Love your videos!!! ❤️
Oooooomygosh Roxie was beautiful before and after. I love how she let you cut the matts out between her toes. I absolutely looooove the 2 Pitte mixes that were pets of the day.
I grew up with an Old English Sheepdog! Loyal, loving, wonderful, funny dog! She was the best. I'd spend hours brushing all that hair. And they do get matted easily. When she got older, we kept her groomed with a short cut. And they never really walk....always a happy trot. ☺️❤️
I had an Old English sheepdog, she passed away 2 years ago at the age of 13 years old. The whole family still miss her every single day. And all that was said in the video is true. Best breed ever, amazing with children, and the separation anxiety was real! She was with me 24/7, unless I had to go for a trip. She knew all her commands in 3 languages: french, english and sing language. And that is actually how we found out during the last year that she became deaf. After she passed a friend got me a painting saying: Everyone has a guardian angel, but the lucky one have a bobtail!

What a beautiful dog. Now that is a dog I can live with!!!
A sweet-tempered dog but lots of work to groom. Unbelievable the fur you relieved her from. She looks great now after you perfected her! : )
She was such a sweetheart. And now she's ready for warmer weather too!
Roxy is so sweet looking! That soft gray fur is so beautiful🙂 Great groom!
OE Sheepdogs are wonderful, and Roxie was no exception. What a good, patient girl!
Roxy was the perfect client... she was so calm. I think she enjoyed this grooming session.
Right? She must've felt so light with all that matting removed.
Wow!! Roxie had a ton of fur! She's absolutely gorgeous!!
So pretty and well behaved. The cut made her look so much younger.
Am i the only one that thinks Roxy looks like Sia in the after shot? She is so well behaved and adorable, melts my heart!
Lord now I'm picturing her swinging from a chandelier. 🐩
WHAT A GOOD GIRL SHE IS!!!
Love the results; a total sweetheart.
Roxy knows all the secrets of the universe. And she knows how to make fantastic chocolate chip cookies.
Such a good girl!
May Roxy’s matted fluff Rest In Peace. Very well mannered and behavior is the best I’ve seen.
I know dog fur doesn't make good yarn, but her "fleece" looks sooooo spinnable!
It is
Sheepdog and poodles are the few dogs where you can use just their coat in spinning
(For cats it is Norwegian forrest and the siberian)
Beautiful Roxie! I've always loved Old English Sheepdogs.
Wow. She is so gentle and relaxed.
What a good girl for her groom!! Y Mom's BFF had an old English sheepdog...his name was Tom. Such a calm, mellow breed. Great with kids, too 💖
So adorable and CALM!!! You do such beautiful work. Thank you for all of the information about breeds, grooming habits and more.
What a sweet girl 💜 Loved the sheep dogs we would get a daycares. They were so well behaved.
I had an old English sheep dog when I was in middle/high school… one of the best dogs ever!! love our sheepies hehe
I think I’d like my new life mission to be brushing and petting Roxy each night before bed. She seems so sweet.
That sheepdog was so kickback. That was a good doggie. I love her wonderful job.💜🦋
Its definitely one of my favourite shampoos 😀
Oooooomygosh Roxie was beautiful before and after. I love how she let you cut the matts out between her toes. I absolutely looooove the 2 Pitte mixes that were pets of the day.
She’s such a sweet and well-behaved dog. 😍
Vanessa, Roxy looks fab even with her body trimmed short. And she carries the cut so graciously! WOOF! 🐶💓
Ooh, a naked sheep dog! I'm in LOVE! Adorable with all of her fluff, and still a cutie after being expertly coifed!
I grew up with an Old English Sheepdog!
Loyal, loving, wonderful, funny dog! She was the best. I'd spend hours brushing all that hair. And they do get matted easily.
When she got older, we kept her groomed with a short cut.
And they never really walk....always a happy trot. ☺️❤️
i had one of these as a kid, was related to Digby the biggest dog in the world! great film
The pink Happy Hoodie is an excellent color choice for a gray and white dog. Jelly Bean cologne is a must at Easter time!
She still looks good even with short hair 😍
This is one of those „completely different dog at the end“ grooms and I love it. You gave her the sweetest haircut, such a lovable furry face.
Great Job I think Roxie looks so much better now. and if her owners bring her in about every 10 weeks she'll stay great
What a calm and well behaved dog! 💕
I am absolutely addicted to your videos, and I don't even own a dog of my own!! Your videos are just fascinating!! And i can tell that you truly love your work and your doggie clients. Kudos to you!!
She is beautiful. You did an amazing job.
Aww, what a sweetheart. She took everything so well.
