You can but use yoghurt instead of milk to compensate moistness. I'd also increase the sugar by 10g.

Ah so buttercake is basicly a Swedish sockerkaka, tip would be to make some lemon glaze and add it on top of it for flavour :)

Could you show a full slice of this "miracle" please? you cut it, but did not show the interior...it doesn`t look spongy. This is the ordinary recipe, I always bake my grannie `s pound cake,except you did not add baking soda and lemon juice or baking powder. Without this chemical reaction cake cannot rise , and I have a suspicion that with your cake this is exactly what happened - it has a dense and moist interior.
