    Great video ❤ you mentioned about not rubbing off the polarizer, is it part of the silver sheet? Or a separate layer at the back of the screen?

      The polarizer must still be there because LCD screens don't work without them.

    Whats the degree you use? 0/90 degree or 45/135 degree? Waiting for your answer 😄 any suggestions what to use?

      I normally just eyeball it to whichever angle that create the clearest display.

    Nice work.... Does take a lot of patience and caution to remove the adhesive from the glass

      They will, if they still have the parts. Doing this ourselves is way cheaper & faster.

    Ha ha, the LCD panel on my Made in China Hewlett Packard scientific calculator HP 35S has this problem. And it uses non-rechargeable CR2032 batteries.

    • @gshockhighfashion
      @gshockhighfashion  4 роки тому

      Seems like this solution is applicable everywhere. Noice!

    • @leewmlee
      @leewmlee 2 роки тому

      Was it difficult to open up the HP35S to access the LCD panel? My experience with these panels is once the rubber contact strips are removed from the LCD glass, I will get missing segments. With an old Casio calculator which doesn't have backlight, I put a strip of aluminium foil as a reflective surface, held in place by tiny tape at the edges. This method won't work with Casio watches as aluminium foil is opaque unless it is illuminated by LEDs at the side.

      Just a piece of sticker to add color to the display.
      Any type of thin paper or transparent plastic could be used as replacement.
