I love that this bow has it's own unique playstyle - it probably takes a ton of getting used to and maybe even changing the optimal rotations to get the maximum benefits. It's not something you can just pick up and be amazing with - which I love for a T95 weapon.
Indeed, the perfect equilibrium stacks are a tricky mechanic and, for those using full manual, this adds a little more spice to the mix. The bow itself is good but not FSOA good, which is an amazing thing because that means Jagex won't nerf it because there is no need to. If anything it may need a slight buff to compete but currently, it's on a phenomenal spot.
I think you may in a couple weeks. I've seen more and more people selling pieces so I'd expect to fall to somewhere around 7-8b maybe lower in coming weeks. It may settle at 5-6b by September if it follows the trend of Kerapa and if jagex doesn't make the bow pieces more common. The bow is not worth 9-10b, at least in my experience, but it definitely is worth having, it's a fun bow.
Yeah even Vestments kind of suffers from both Damage Caps and Bleed Meta. Sure it's BIS in a number of locations but the APM and Rotation required to come close to matching Mage dps is stupidly high (Look up EvilLucario's Raksha and Kerapac HM runs with the set).

I love watching more opinions about the bow because i feel it's the most fun weapon we had in a long time, the spec and passive effects are tricky to time properly and keep track of, but they're nice for the additional damage. I don't really like making comparisons between games, but this bow reminds me of the ABC Deck from Yu-Gi-Oh! It's a versatile deck, it had META potential, and the more things you added to it, the better it became. It was also pretty easy to run but quite tricky to master.
Im wondering if you have use grico with c4, and you start with for example 3 stacks with spec active, do you get 2 passive hits or just 1? Because if you start with 3 stacks, it has the potential to get 2 passive hits because grico c4 hits 7 times
I've had the bow since day 2. What I will say is for the power it has, I think it's fair how much attention must be given to triggering its passive. Grico is insane, as is Dbow spec. FUL arrows all the way for me.
So what is the dmg per 5 min? If it isn't close to fsoa, why bother buying the bow? When they release a better version of duel wield range there will be no way for the bow to remain useful. Its bad in eof, and loses value if it isn't camped. If you want to abuse the arrows, how does hex hunter compare now that it has been buffed.
I have the same concerns you do. Seems like Jagex kinda screwed DW range, and because a huge component of the old range meta revolves around hydrix bolts for adrenaline, it seems like it is introducing old problems. Definitely seems fun to use, if not a little bit over complicated once you start adding in all the EOF switches. It completely changes so much for range and IMO just doesn’t seem like the bang for the buck is there atm for how much gear adjustment and relearning this weapon requires.
I think if you spend more time at Hm kerapac with the bow you’re opinion might change. with some practice im no fooding hm with average 4:45m kills and I am not that great. You can time warp and get off the spec and ecb then dump adrenaline like crazy. Great vid!
5:05 i think the biggest issue is dragonbane arrows only effect astellarn because the other two bosses even though their primary attack is magic, neither are magical creatures and neither are considered "dragons" on a dragon task. thats the biggest issue and its annoying that its been part of the game since ed2 released.
@@BraddoWiz if it does work it doesn't give the effect on their HP bar, which would lead me to believe it doesn't apply to them. For sure neither of them are magical creatures because hexhunter only works on astellarn.

One thing that i havent seen peoplee talking about in RS3 what i think has become a problem is that weapons and gear in general have become so complicated. I dont even feel like buying a new weapon, because it wont do much if you dont commit to all the special conditions it requires from you. I wasted 300m on breater barge only to see how weird and awkward it is to use and you can easily mess up and you just end up wasting dps. It is so awkward to use that people need to make guides on how to use it, because of how complicated it is. You spend 300m and then never use it because it only works when meeting bizarre and arbitrary conditions. I dont see a reason of spending bills for a weapon that does nothing for you unless you fully commit to sweaty full manual or a revo mix. I dont know if i am in the minority here, but combat is not really fun anymore, it is more like a math project you have to do for school.

Glad to see an honest opinion on the bow, and not overhyped stuff. Imo the bow is really fun and the spec has the coolest animation ever made atm. Also bik arrows make somany bosses doable for the avg player and this bow makes it even better. Yet it is nowhere near a Fsoa, as an example: At raksha which is considered one of the best bosses to range, you can't get a pool skip. Meanwhile mage is the easiest style for it, and melee already can do it too but at a high skill ceiling. Still the most fun weapon by far!

Waited to answer this hoping someone who actually had the bow would answer first lol, but the answer is definitely yes. All of the direct answers I have noticed have been on streams or comments unfortunately, though. (Definitely EOFing as soon as I get the bow myself)
I would assume yes, the only real issue I can see is that now you have to swap between at minimum 3 EOFs (Dbow, SGB, and ECB). No idea how chaotic that will be but because the dbow spec usage seems very precise timing wise I imagine it is tricky to maintain ECB spec. If someone with more experience/info could elaborate on how this is done I would have more confidence that this bow is the de-facto meta. As it stands, losing hydrix procs and ECB spec is enough to keep me away from buying one for the foreseeable future.
Yes, animated death just benefits magic tank armour, the only great options of range tank armour are the superior death lotus and the achto tempest. Definitely we need a range version of the cryptobloom armour, so will be possible to make extreme bosses without sweat.
Hard to say & situational. It should get close, or even be able to rival it with all expensive unlocks like ECB inside eof, SGB inside eof, ammo switching, enchanted nightmare guantlets etc
i was doing 3 minute glacor kills at 500% with ascensions and just a dbow eof. in fairness i have over 1300 kills so i know the boss pretty well but my dpm at glacor is 250-270k, new bow could probably do 2 minute 500% if he had much more time to learn with it
man, this buff icon for bolg are insanely bad, tiny and numbers that confuse more than helps, i think jagex could put it on another place that don't be a buff bar too

I'm a lil poor now 😂 wanted to try Zuk and got shit on. Might just keep practicing kerapac and try hard mode. If I can get staff pieces as a drop, it'll make it a lot easier to invest in a magic setup. Also have 6 scrolls left for full seasinger. Was gonna give mage a shot when I got that. T85 tank, t88 dw mage seems solid.
You do not need the caroming 4 perk on the bow to Bow spec>Grico>Bow spec btw.

so basically the bow can passively increase your DPS and even more if you actively use the ability.

If you use ecb in an eof, it clears soo hard at Nex
