And it looks good asf, I love the halo look on the older models, but the new lights look good, curve in the bumper a little on the sides point the middle on the bottom down some, it'll all come together. Face-lift looks good 🤷🏽♂️

Taillights are amazing, headlights are disappointing.
Idk I kinda like em looks like a viper. Looks super aggresive. Both headlight versions are cool it's cool to have 2 different versions

Need that intake area, watched a video where they did and tooks temps and they look great in person, pics don't do them any justice.

I do too. The grille is hideous compared to past models. Dumb people will say the car needs the air but an engineer said there is no more overall venting in this model compared to past ones.

Yupp. Going to the dark side as well. Merc AMG CLE53 is the hot coupé, accept I already know I‘m going to miss micro-perfect handling. The only car that has ever come close to a BMW in that regard is an Audi Quattro.

I like how people say the front is worse yet bmw is selling triple the amount of g8x models per year then their old f8x ones. Let's change the grille that's tripled their profits on the m3 and m4!

If I could get one, I would just get the new one and replace the new head lights with the old ones, or the other way get the old one and replace the tail lights with the new ones.
I appreciate them updating the headlights to look more up to date with their "2 diagonals" trend but I still prefer the transparent semi-hexagons.

I will not understand people seeing these headlights as an upgrade. Taillights are huge but a L for the CSL owners.
Old headlights were actually the highlight of the front for me, but somehow I don't mind this new design. Seems much more aggressive and kind of fits the "Rabid Rat" look that the grill is imitating :)
I had been waiting to see these new headlights properly since I saw the leaks months ago, I thought they had potential and they absolutely delivered.
Absolutely love this facelift, I think the M4 deserved this (along with a proper un-broken shoulder lol)
After seeing this, I can't wait for the M3 refresh, because we (my family) are going to be getting that one.
And also that new steering wheel is AMAZING
Headlights are awesome, look more aggressive while still retaining some subtleness like the pre-LCI. Taillights are beautiful. I’m more interested in the G80 LCI myself, I think the new style changes will look even better on the sedan.

One of the coolest things about BMWs was that for ages you could instantly recognise one in the mirrors by the iconic angel eyes

Often wonder how many people who say they prefer iDrive 7 over 8 have actually spent significant time driving, or own a BMW with iDrive 8. As someone who has owned and daily driven a BMW with iDrive 8 for the last year and a half, I love it. I got used to the look fairly quickly and it no longer looked “tacked on” after a surprisingly short amount of time. Now, to me, it actually makes iDrive 7 look dated.
Compared to all the other double screen setups out there bmw’s definitely looks the most sleek and well put together.
I have them both (2022 Alpina XB7 and 2024 M4 comp. X drive) and am starting to like the 8 version. The display is more attractive but not quite as easy to navigate as pushing a button. Both do the job.
I do not like the new headlights, I love the csl tails, and the steering wheel update. So the play is get a 21 g82 m4 comp for like 65-70k, slap the csl tail lights and the updated steering wheel on it, tune for power and ur good to go.
I own a '23 M240i with the iDrive 8 style screens and no physical buttons for climate control. I was worried about that being an inconvenience but I really don't need to mess with it much. The "auto" climate control setting does a great job so it's really just a matter of raising or lowering the temperature setting occationally. It even controls the heated steering wheel and seats automatically so when warming it up on a cold day everything is good to go when i get in. I really don't miss the physical controls at all.
8:29 I also see a noticeable difference in the shark fin on the roof. Looks like a normal sk8nny shark fin on the old model but the wider one on the new one. Is there a camera in it for a digital rear view mirror? I really hope so! BMW needs to start getting those implemented on their vehicles.
My ‘24 order just got changed to a ‘25 LCI…no complaints!

I love the taillights! Looks like the style Mercedes abandoned after adopting 10 years ago (Remember the CLA as well? Beautiful) I thought those lights were the future. Hopefully more beautiful light designs to come! Overall a better looking M4!

Me personally I hated the new grille at first but worked at BMW for a while and became a huge fan of it after being around em for a while and actually no longer am a fan of the old grille I don’t work there anymore but still am a huge fan

F-series was peak 4-series.
Apart from the dash the new model looks great. I am so used to the grills already, so I really like them.
I am specially loving the increase 🐎 horsepower 530hp and the bottom square steering wheel looks very sporty in addition to the beautiful full leather accented dash & full carbonfiber bucket seats on the new M4 competition.

I hope no one needs to replace a pair of those tail lights. You could probably pick up a mint E92 M3 for what a pair of those cost.
This might seem wrong, but I think the new headlights are an improvement. The halo lights before seemed tacked on, while the new ones connect with graphic features in the rest of the front, while also being more dynamic as he mentioned. Can't change the grilles though, but it doesn't really look like an abomination anymore. Also, I think the new headlights are supposed to be a link between the current and the next generation 3/4 series.
The halo (angel eyes) are a styling tradition, something owners have loved for many years, and it instantly makes a BMW recognisable from other brands.
I love the angel eyes, and my current car and past 3 cars (all BMW's) have had them.
I don't like the new lights, and much prefer the style of the halo.
Totally agree with your assessment, but I have to speak on the headlights. I haven't read any article yet that has spoken to the death...yes, death of the four functioning headlights that have marked BMWs for years upon years. From the 2800CS on, a signifier of BMWs has been four functioning lights. You'll recall pre-LCI with Lasers had four lights. With the help of therapy and some good mezcal, I've come to terms with the fake! inner lenses on my pre-LCI M340i. With this LCI, big B has fully eliminated the inner high beam and that's sad. From I can see, there is just the cornering light in that position. The fangs/slashes are an evolution and can reference four illuminated images in front, but alas...no more second set of headlights. Pouring one out for no longer being able to do the cool flash your inner highs when you pass by a fellow BMW.
Good observation and it was nice to se someone brought this up. My only disappointment is the lack of the inner lens compared to the pre LCI. It looks a little off when the lights are lit up.
Still hate the big grille, but thanks to the sharper headlights, the front face feels a little bit smarter. The taillight is awesome.
AMG CLE 53/63 has a better front, and M4 definitely has a better rear look

Please make a redesign of the BMW Neue Klass concept with round led headlights (angel eyes) idk why bmw is moving away from the circular headlights and sticking with theses slanted lines (just look weak to me) and in the neue klass concepts the angle of them just takes away the sturdiness and presence of the car.

People saying to change the grille... u guys need to see the sales per year numbers. New g8x m3 and m4 models have sold nearly triple the amount per year then the old f8x models.
Those people would have bought an M3/M4 no matter what it looked like, because they simply want to have a great driving car.
And it is a fantastic car.
That doesn't mean almost every one of those buyers wouldn't prefer a grill like the M5 instead though does it, because every forum I have looked at (and I research EVERY car forum out there), the vast majority of buyers have said they hate the grill, and only a tiny percentage say they like it.
@@DjNikGnashersfrom the owner videos I've seen they've actually grown to like it more. Go watch bimmer invasion for example. It's so cool how many different unique aftermarket grilles and things u can do. I really think they look so much more exotic then the older ones.

Unfortunately kept the bad screen tossed up on the dash complete with dumb stand on the back and lack of physical controls. Also the Venetian blinds grille is unattractive compared to past models.

The M4 is a great car, but the grill has been a massive fail.
The M5 is great, the new M8 is great, even the new M2 is great, so I don't understand why they continue with this horrible beaver teeth design when the vast majority of BMW buyers have been expressing their disgust at it on every forum since it's release.
I like the new M2, and would buy one if I had the funds, sadly out of reach for me so I'll stick with my amazing looking, amazing driving, OG M2.
I'm really impressed! I didn't think that they could make this car any uglier, but, somehow, they succeeded in doing it. BMW's product line seems to be a weird experiment in how ugly they can make a car and still have people pay big money for it. The really amazing thing is that they've been running this experiment successfully for the last 23 years.
For me, it’s the seats . after the Tesla. It feels so uncomfortable in BMW seats. They are just not comfortable.

The wheels are still annoying. They are fake staggered, basically the wheel is the same size overall and only the rim/tyre ratio changes. It would have been cooler with biggee tyres in the back as well

its still laser, but BMW doesn't use the name anymore doesn't mean they don't produce them, for example the G05 X5 LCI although has "adaptive LED" headlights still have laser technology, the name is dropped, not the technology

Yes they missed the mark with the headlights😔😔. They should have just upgraded the taillights and left the headlights alone. The DRLs don't go with the body lines at all, it's like they were thinking of the more boxy new M5 when the did this. Can I get the 2025 M4 and with the 2024 headlights?? I know how you feel, I have owned 6 BMW's in my last 7 cars, and only three models in the entire range interest me now. The M5CS, the new M2, and the forthcoming M8. All out of my price range.
I have an OG M2, and it is the most beautiful BMW in the last 15 years in my opinion. None of the new models come close to it's perfect styling.
