I got a best of 2.79 on my M4 Comp LCI on VBox haha (coupe) - high 2s consistently…and we’re all running 10.9x quarter miles too…this thing is nuts! Especially for the price. At higher speeds you can tell it “only” has 479 lb-ft of torque but up to 200kph its punching wayyyy above its belt. It’s got closer to 600

@v12-s65 M5 CS was an absolute killer of a car. The new Z4 M40i with 6 speed manual is a great car. For an SUV the X5M/X6M and Alpina XB7 (my wife drives this) are all fantastic SUVs. But yeah, the new heavy M5 is just upsetting. But BMW does have the capacity and has made some amazing class leading cars for enthusiasts

@v12-s65 I never owned a X5m but drove one and thought it was a great sports suv. I had an M8 coupe and a M5 CS both really great cars. I do hope now that Trump will be in office he will help pull back a lot of the bs that governments are pushing for the sake of fraudulent environmental policy and car manufacturers can go back to making cars that people actually want. All this electrification and hybridization is just getting boring and people are not buying them. I don’t understand why everyone’s complaining technology involved. Bmw has the right to keep their cars updated. If you don’t want a car to get updated by a Japanese vehicle that’s not putting down anyone. It’s just stating facts Japanese cars usually are not updated for almost 10 years.

haha don't compare this with a GT. This is still a 3 series. Can push 900hp from the factory, doens't change the status nor the luxury of a GT63.
And no Audi and Mercedes do make by far more attractive cars on average than bmws current line up is. There's a reason why they fired Dukec lmao.
Alone the RS6 and 7 are master pieces compared to those. Sat in the G90 3 days ago, hot garbage.
I owned 3 bmws in the past, but I will never be forced to accept bronze, when I was used to Gold. Performance figures can't make up for everything else.
Especially ironical for a country like the UK with horrendours b roads and a speed limit of like 70mph

I had the F83 M4 Comp Convertible for 4 years from new, the one with the hard top. Personally, and it is all down to preference, but in my opinion the hard top is superior in every regard. Screw the weight of it, who cares, less than 1% of the people buying these are using it for track days and if they do... who do they think they are to whinge about some extra weight? You're not competing for a F1 seat, nobody cares, just tool your car around and pray you don't bin it. But soft tops don't age well, British weather causes them to unavoidably mould up around the seams which no amount of Halfords super snake oil is gonna stop... they crease and wrinkle over time making them ugly, so I'd take a hard top all day long. The only real life issue with a hard top is they can be prone to rattling depending if your unlucky or not. But again, imo, the M4 has become unreasonably priced. I've got a brand new G87 M2 coming this week and that's more expensive than a brand new M4 was in 2017/2018, the M4 is an amazing car but it isn't a £90k+ car, that's absolute madness.
Edit - WTF that rear light cluster is a £2800 optional extra as part of the technology pack, jesus christ man the spec of the car in this video is well over £100,000. That is just insanity, for what is essentially a 4 series.

As someone who's often on the Autobahn I do wonder how the hell people use the power in the UK? Roads narrow with a lot of imperfections, speed limit highway 70mph..
Performance is an importance for a car like an M4. But just because it does outstanding in that discipline, that doesn't even make it a consideration for an Aston Martin alternative.
The more cars you drive on long distances, specifically at night, the more you start to appreciate everything else instead of sheer acceleration from a dig.
Cool car. The bmw fan community, as always, ruins it. From a perspective of a former BMW owner, of the first two 3 series models.

I own 2019 m340i which is two refreshes behind but still the same engine as the reviewed m440i. I'm not complaining as there's only slight tweaks here and I can make comparable power with a few simple mods - for example a downpipe and a chip tune.

    • @Neil3D
      @Neil3D 15 днів тому

@@gw7624 I wrote out a huge comment but it's a UA-cam comment, nobody cares or would read it. So I'll shorten it.
In summary, I didn't say LCI was a new thing though did I? What I am saying is that generally, people buy a car from new because they want the latest & greatest, and they pay a premium to have that. I expect that feeling to last longer than 1 year in some cases.
LCI induced FOMO is getting worse, the G series received a completely overhauled dash and UI in 2022 (the widescreen). If you bought a £90k+ M4 in 2021 thinking you were the dogs nuts, 1 year in you've got the dated dashboard. Some don't care, many do.
The G87 M2 has had a LCI after only 1 year. It doesn't matter how minor the changes are either, if you bought a brand new G series M2 when it launched and barely months later you now own the "old one", you're gonna be p*ssed.
Go look at the F8X ZCP era, from 2016-2020, the LCI for that was pretty much to make the adaptive lights standard, and not a whole lot else. It certainly didn't get an entire new dashboard mid-cycle, new paints, new wheels, more power etc
So no, I would strongly disagree that the nature of the G series LCI has been predictable.

its 530 hp on crappy 91 octane California gas on a very hot humid heat soaked day with an unbroken in engine lol...on a nice cool dry day in the northern states, with the much less restrictive U.S. exhaust system in place and 93 octane better gas, probably 600hp....at sea level in Florida with much better quality 102 octane gas, probably 650....with ethanol or VP 100 race fuel and a propler ECU reflash to take into account the much better gas...probably 700hp...with full bolt ons these cars are making over 950hp here in the USA...with bigger turbo's, hotter cams, straight piped exhaust, methane injection and an trunk mounted ice box and better heat exchanger to keep it all ice cold...they are making 1300hp...no joke...in other words, for 175,000 plus $35,000 in mods, a customer can get a 2025 M4 CS coupe with enough accleration to easily keep up on the highway with a $1.2 million dollar Ferrari SF90XX...just crazy times...oh yeah and the M4 has a small back seat to put two small children or a good amount of your stuff or groceries back there, a much much better trunk space than a Ferrari which essentially has none lol...But the Ferrari will obviously get you way way more beautiful curvy sexy women in your life to sleep with you, way more than you were already getting, just because the women love a man who drives a new Ferrari or Lambo or Rolls Royce or Bentley or Aston...it exudes success, power, money, elegance, class, sophistication, elite status and huge life accomplishments...women notice all that immediately...
