Guyver seriously needs a comeback. I wish the anime caught up with stuff in the manga and didn't end on Sho getting the Gigantic set. It was so badass I needed more!

I would have ended season 1 with the destruction of Mount Minakami, expanding Archanfel's fight with Guyot, Aptom hunting down the Hyper Zoanoids, that way episode 26 ended on a cliffhanger. Season 2 would have opened with a detailed X-Day and lead up to Gigantic-Dark's fight with Imakarum. Season 3 would have opened with Imakarum healing and learning the history of Archanfel and ended with Aptom killing Kahn and Apollyon's introduction.
The movie was kind of fun.. in a shitty way 😂😂 like porn level acting

I know just how you feel I remember watching this as a teenager it is my gateway manga bit didn't find all of it until I was a adult but it really bothered me after watching the anime that it only went up to episode 26 introducing the gigantic. I wonder why Yoshiki Takaya didn't finish it. It's sad cause I am a fan
Archenfel was my favorite character throughout this whole series! I hate that we don't know what happened in the end or who Apollyon was. I really hope they pick this back up!
I dont think they will ever finish it, I read that one of the lead story guy past away and since then the creator hasn't touched guyver.
Maybe they should leave it. Storytelling these days is so much poorer. Look at shittywood.

The guyver series is something that truly fascinates me, there was a chapter of 10 pages which showed Mizuki Tatsuro and Archanfel eating food whilst talking, Apollyon shows up with a hand of exceed gigantic guyver and then quickly teleports after Archanfel gives him a look. That is all that was last seen, it is sad that the series has not continued for the last few years.
I was able to read past that story. Guyver 1 teams up with Apollyon on a hunt for Guyot. And i saw Gigantic Dark create his own Exceed Guyver.

I did manage to read past what I covered in the video. Guyot comes back (but not a full zoalord), Some Zoalords get defeated, Apollyon teams up with Guyver 1 and fights Guyver Gigantic, Guyver 2 Female enters the story, Apollyon beats another Zoalord, Gigantic Dark fights 2 ZoaLords combined together and wins (but one escapes). But there is still so much more left and we need closure after all these years.

After I saw that I spent several years hoping to hear word of a third movie.
Wish they didn't stop. I've loved Guyver since I was 13yrs old. The Manga was getting good with Apollyon starting to come into it.
It's been awhile since I seen guyver related content and it really sucks to find out that the manga is on hiatus and heck we only got three anime adaptations and two live action American movies but if the starts finishing up hopefully we'll get a new guyver anime that follows the manga to a T now that would be awesome
I remember the 2005 series. I actually went to Best Buy to buy the first DVD which had the first couple of episodes. Good times as a teen.
I also want to say thank you for this very informative video it's so rare to follow the story of guyver as the comic books are rare as hell ( at least in England) it's good to have all this information in one place, which has taken me years to gleam from the internet!

Been waiting for an explanation of this character.
Basically the creators accidently created a race stronger than them that they couldn't control so they ran away hoping none of them would get their technology and attempted to destroy them as they went on to try again or would end up destroyed given they failed to create an army to protect them. We will either end up with a story of the human race fighting the creator's enemies or we take on the creators and their new army.

Great video and very informative. I never knew that the story was incomplete. I bought all the Japanese volumes to practice my reading skills. I'll dive into it soon.
I was able to read some more issues beyond what I covered after this video. Most of the zoalords were defeated and I think around 4 or 5 were still alive. While Apollyon teams up with the 2 Guyvers to chase after Guyot for some reason. Archanfel is now sitting on the sidelines and not really saying anything about Apollyon being so powerful like him.

Storyboard director died, he was essentially the Co-Creator of the franchise, and without his designs the writer felt he couldn't continue i expect so has retired for now. But with Muira's death who knows, maybe could get some one else to help him finish the story.

this is excellent, it really helped me understand the timeline, since i read it in fragments as it was coming out. Does anyone know if they plan to continue the manga, i heard a major writer of the stories passed away... :( and is there enough interest to have it completed...? Theres so much possibility still left with the story :)

Very well designed character. He's likes a mixture between apocalypse and jesus christ to the Zoanoids. Good storyline.

Man I wish someone would hurry up and translate the last parts of this series. I read almost all of it until I hit a point where there wasnt anymore translations. I wish Viz would licence and release this series here in the states so I can buy it

Hope Archanfel has fun playing vidya with Tetsuro while we all collectively wait for the manga to resume. In hindsight, Archanfel's sleep cycles and random awakenings make for an amusing unintentional allusion to mangakas and their hiatus cycles, aside from Takaya's own Yoshihiro Togashi's and the late Kentaro Miura's tendencies to dip come to mind. Hope we will see their masterpieces finished one day.

Guyot is till alive but restored as a weaker zoalord leader with a fake crystal. There are 2 Gigantic Guyvers now but the mysterious Appollyon is more powerful than them.

I think the story of Guyver ends with Archanfel obtaining a Guyver unit (probably Sho's) and leaves Earth and humanity behind with his Zoanoids in pursuit of the Creators (using information obtained from Apollyon) demanding answers.
I don't know if the story ever did get any ending and the writer simply is waiting to release it.. or, he lost interest in this franchise and never completed it. I was able to read further past what I covered in the video.
Apollyons identity was still not revealed but he did team up with the guyers in pursuit of Guyot (who is back but not a full Zoalord anymore).
Most of the zoalords were defeated and I think around 4 were left.
I even saw Guyver gigantic vs Apollyon. (Very short encounter but it displayed a small portion of his power).

Does the original Creator/ mangaka even want to finish the series? The story has been running for over 20 to 30 years!
I believe that he is working as a dentist now, one of his co-writers had passed away, so since then Guyver has been on the indefinite Hiatus.
As far as I know there should be more MANGA... how else can it be explained how the creators was able to control APTOMs body but not his mind... I haven't seen the whole MANGA I got this small clue from yahoo when I started downloading images of just about every GUYVER character... I was really hoping that there more to this MANGA/ANIME... it kind of reminds me of ULTRAMAN (the C.G.I. series) where it is mentioned that there are factions at war with one another it makes me wonder if CREATORs are fighting an enemy far greater than they are... ALSO what were to happen if you put a guyver unit on top of another unit? would it be able to hold more than just one control metal or would the G-UNIT refuse to integrate because it know that the host all ready has a unit?
Can we talk about how the manga up until a certain point, is read like western comics?

There's been a few more issues I read after this video but it's the same one the creator never finished. We have no closure to the story. It got to a Point where Apolyon would team up with the Guyvers to hunt guyot for some reason. And Guyver 3 gigantic took on a Zoalord Duo that combined into 1 phantom creature.
Stupid thought, is their a reason he didn't do Guyver 2? Yes, I know he gets blown up, but it's implied he was working on the idea so... why not try that first? Is it because its a little damaged?
Interesting so not even Archanfel could defeat the guyver at least not with out a guyver remover. That just goes to show you just how strong the guyver is.
He can.. but at the time the Creators were not sure who was more powerful. So the risk of losing archanfel was too high. So they gave him the Remover to give him a better chance.

After this video, The story is nearing its conclusion with most of the Zoalords defeated. It then focuses on Guyot coming back and Apollon teaming up with the Guyvers to find him for something important. Apollon's identity is not fully revealed but it seems pretty clear who he is, based on the clues I left in the video. Volume 32 is when Guyver 3 creates his own Gigantic Exceed Guyver. I cannot find a definite answer as to why the Manga is coming out so slowly. Volume 32 is the last one i was able to read. And that came out in 2016.. The creator is 60 years old now. So his reason(s) could be anything.
