I was kinda hoping the prisoner would be a new survivor, it just looks like a mercenary skin. But it's still cool.
It is a merc skin. He would've been cool as a survivor.

@@thiagotaubman7505 The issue with that is that all of the dead cells crossovers are canon to its own universe, so it would be kind of a fortnite situation of just making all the indie games share a universe

Looks like Artifact of Devotion spawns eggs that you sacrifice an item to to get a Lemurian ally. And Artifact of Delusion closes previously opened chests so you can buy them for a new item.
I’d have loved the prisoner as his own character, though a skin is still good, imma be using it a lot once I get it

crossovers for crossovers sake is lame when everything else about the world is self contained, lazy way to try and combine audiences
I disagree. Risk of rain has an admirable art style and story that i guarentee a lot of people are invested in. Tossing in a bunch of crossovers bogs down the experience, and makes the game feel like a joke rather than a story.
Risk of rain was already cool, it didn't need anyone else to try and help it. Let risk of rain STAY as risk of rain.

RoR2 was one of those games where I really had no idea what I was doing and only vaguely knew how to get to the different levels after the first, but I had lots of fun being confused and killing everything I saw.
