heretic? who's that?
*sad bird noises*
birb
pay to play
either lunar coin cheating or artifact of command tbh
lol
Something very important to note with engineer, is that shurikens make turrets able to proc bands, which give them a ton of damage.
Do they have their own individual cooldowns, or does it use up your bands?
@@BobaZombie13 their own individual cooldowns
@@BobaZombie13 I'm about 90% sure it's their own cooldown. Had a silly Simularacrum run with them the other day between that and them gettign their own set of elixirs.
bonus tip: ICBM synergizes with engi missiles too, so be on the lookout for those as well. but yeah, Shurikens are a godsend for anybody that cannot proc bands on their own. and having 2-3 additional things that can also activate them? absolutely delicious.
Was going to comment the same thing ! Also very funny to hear thoose shuriken going crazy every seconds
i really LOVE the editing for this video. lot more visually focused especially for a guide and i love it
thank Joe for that one! (no, really - his name IS Joe)
thanks Joe
@@Woolie Joe who?
joe is the real MVP
Joe mama
As a Heretic main, “Consistency: BIRD” is very accurate
wait... heretic mains actually exist?
heretic MAIN???
i guess he does the infinite lunar coin hack and always does newt altar on first stage
i assume the selectable heretic mod (or maybe lil heretic)
Heretic main dude how many lunar coins do you have
i love the new format
not only are there cool ass graphics now, the switch from "A TIER" "S Tier" etc to "consistency" is great at actually explaining why the early game is the most important thing in RoR (cause after a loop or two everyone just one shots everything with 2 procs lol) and also explains that survivors aren't less powerful but less consistent
saludos mr streamer
he’s always ranked survivors based on consistently and hasn’t used A-F tier list format
The second time I played Merc I beat monsoon for the first time, killed aurelionite, had a god run, unlocked BFG, and, believe it or not, had fun.
I had a very similar experience with Merc. My first serious attempt with Merc I obliterated on monsoon.
Merc was my first choice to beat Eclipse x8
Lol how do you not have fun playing mercenary he’s so fun to play
mercenary is the only survivor
Congratz to you, but i hate merc and this is the worst character for me, besides acrid.
A good item you missed on the huntress is the rose buckler. Due to her sprint uptime she can basically have a passive 23% damage reduction with only one of them
If you’re getting hit on huntress, you’re doing something wrong
@@spinethrasher5371 even if u play really good this game have rng. A brass contraption can hit you if dont have decent speed even when you are doing everything right. Lesser wisp can spawn on top of you after you blind and if they are ice elites than you just got tank it ( a lot runs end with lesser wisps).
@@paulohenriquedossantos7633 brass contraption pattern is so easy to dodge, you just line up and take a step to the right and it'll ALWAYS CONSISTENTLY miss every shot. Also, if your runs are getting ended by wisps u doing something tf wrong lmao - most deaths on my account are by Mithrix himself
@@paulohenriquedossantos7633 gonna have to disagree on you buddy the other commwnta are right. The greens are quite a game changer but the buckler is too situational to be benefited from
same thing for mercenary, artificer, captain etc survivors that are just constantly sprinting
Bro?? The editing is SUBLIME. Looks downright professional like I'm sitting in a conference room and woolie walks in with a suit and turns on the projector boutta teach us how to play risk of rain
Dude I just started Risk of Rain 2 and I really needed something like this, in fact I was actually going to search for something like this when I woke up but it popped up right in my recommended. Thanks!
May be late to comment this but you dont HAVE to stay on that time constraint of 5 mins. Some achievements require you to take it slow and get as beefy as possible
I've been playing a lot of Merc recently and I think Focused Assault is just better to take all the time now. With just one Lysate Cell, the decrease in mobility is mostly mitigated, with more it's even better. The ability to mark a large group of enemies and get basically all your cooldowns back immediately is well worth losing the extra 2 dashes IMO
Assuming you don't pick up syringes anyways you can do this without alt special by a primary extension - there's a specific window during the third meele where you can dash, and the meele hitbox is carried with you exposing everything you dash through.
So you get the expose without the single stack, it's great
You can mark enemies with blinding assault if you aa cancel...focused assault is strictly inferior to BA 100% of the time
@@vicokonkwo7776 but you can also aa cancel with focused assault. Hit multiple enemy and you can basically reset the cooldown very fast.
Plus there's a secret strat I figured out. When blinding assault was the only. Option, I found out you could inflict expose by timing the last hit of his primary with the dash, worked for eviscerate as well. Turns out, focused assault also does that, but the second hit means you get all your cooldowns reset and they get ReExposed, giving you twice the expose for one attack, so you can then immediately do an eviscerate and or whirlwind to get your focused assault back. Basically if you hit 3 or more enemies with focused assault, mercenary has no cooldowns and constantly hits got 1000% damage
@@doneatthetuna1342 and you can do it 3 times with blinding assault? Literally the only advtg focused assault has is dmg and that's pretty much negligible outside of early game. Blinding offers necessary survivability in terms of mobility
What I've learned about Void fiend is that it's a constant game of managing what items you have in order to manage your corruption meter better. You want to balance healing with crits as much as possible
This video feels so refined and it has such good quality. Good job Woolie!
What a good video.
To the point, compact, well edited and GREAT visuals.
Thanks Woolie.
This is truly omega production value on this video - love the new layouts! Thanks for great guide!
SUPER cool editing in this video I love the visuals they really add to everything and makes it really easy to look at and track
Pro tip: if you want to swap suppressive fire on commando for something that scales a LOT better, grab Essence of Heresy. Commando's high attack speed scaling makes it ridiculously easy to charge stacks of ruin, which translates into ez band procs. There are a couple survivors that can scale almost as good with Essence, but Commando basically just straight-up upgrades when you pick it up.
It's also a free debuff for Death Mark.
The editting and the visual aspects w items playstyle description everything are just clean and amazing insane work :0
Damn, haven´t watched yet but a fast and accessible guide for all characters seems like an amazing proyect, and likely necessary for all new players coming onto the game now that will run into a sea of outdated content. Good idea o/
Nice job with the added visual elements this video. Makes the video much more informative. keep up the great work Woolie
The editing and presentation is amazing, great work my man
Woolie came a long when it comes to his tips and guide videos, the editing really went even better that fitted the goal of the video much more.
Very helpful Mr. Streamer, nice video as always.
I really love this new editing format, makes everything looks really stylish and consistent while being easy to read!
I’m not the best at this game, far from it, but only a few hours ago I played artificer on rainstorm for the first time after the dlc and honestly, I’ve never had an easier run on rainstorm. She’s complicated at first, but once you figure her out she can do some crazy things! Still on the road to beating monsoon, I’ve been slowly getting there thanks to these videos!
Amazing editing in this video, keep the content up man! I'll never get sick of RoR2.
It's worth noting that Bandit has a secret passive where bleed is ineffective due to it only lasting about a third of every other survivors time due to his hemorrhage effects. So if you ever see a void needle tick as Bandit, your better off picking that up.
Could you elaborate one what makes the bleed time shorter?
@@mikecampau438 It's Bandits base kit passive. His bleed time from tri-tip daggers and shatter spleens last way shorter than every other survivors in the game because he has hemorrhage in his skill kit.
I'm not a data miner so I cant tell you the exact statistics of it but just load up the game as Bandit with artifact of command, grab a few tri-tips and see for yourself
@@tripod7312 like his passive says bleeds last shorter? Aight. Problem solved
@@mikecampau438 It doesn't say it but it's there lol. That is my point. I'm making sure people understand that it's part of Bandits kit without the devs telling us.
Did you proc bleed with the shotgun primary?
Beacuse it have 0.5 proc coefficient, this means that it have 50% effect of all on proc/hit items, So bleed only last 1.5 seconds instead of 3 seconds
I agree with a few of the comments I've seen; your UI while explaining everything looks very professional and very pleasing to the eye. Thank you for the video once again Mr. Streamer!
This video's so well produced! Awesome for both new and old players alike as well, love all the imagery that comes with the explanations. Great stuff Woolie
Wow this is a high quality video, amazing work Woolie!!!
Nice. Can you do one of these for Eclipse some time? I'm having a lot of trouble with REX Eclipse 8 in the new DLC.
Try using directive drill base shift and overall aim for a good amount of movement speed and a feather, head stompers are also just pretty much a feather but its a red so its hard to get, go for proc items! don't be scared of the 0.5 proc coefficiency M1 since directive drill will proc a lot of things, tangling may as well be a one use on every stage with the exception of safer spaces letting you throw it out for free, rex can also effortlessly proc death mark so grab some bleed and a chrono and enjoy your 50% damage boost. Good luck E8 is very difficult but manageable once you get the hang of it!
Really well made and useful video. I will definitely be referring back to this whenever the need arises.
Thank you so much for all the visual stuff and editing, its very helpful to me :)
Dame woolie this was a really good video, looked great, quick and useful info and yet its still fun to watch!
Excellent vid mr. strimmer. Loved the overlays and the general format, great stuff!
I love this editing so much dude it's actually insane
actual good guide, this'll help me lots when I go to learn the other survivors
Already got 100 hours in risk of rain 2, still learned so much in this video. Great Job!!
this has gotta be the most professional video I've ever seen you put out, good job!
the editing feels so fresh and clean, I love it
Nice tier list woolie very nice to see the new layout for this video super dope.
thank you for the conistently polished content Woolie. Really helps us Risky casuals
The editing on this video is impeccable, you have come a long way Woolie. Props to you. Keep it up! You're the best!
Awesome formatting. Great video, thanks.
the editing for this video was really good man, major improvement
Love the editing. Super clear and helpful!
Really liked the editing for the vid, and good tips as always!
What an awesome video! :)
I wish I saw it a year ago, now I'm stomping Monsoon regularly, but watching your content coz it's cool. Other guides are good too, but this one is better imo.
Great tips, and kudos to the editor for the great visuals here.
One small tip I want to add is to aim slightly above the enemies, since the shots come out from the survivor, not from the "camera"/center of the screen. It's not much of an offset, but things like Artificer's M1, Acrid's M2 or Railgunner's no-scope special can miss or even hit a wall/floor, even if the reticle is perfectly centered.
the editing on this vid is amazing i can tell you put so munch work into it
thank you for the tips mr streamer
even though I'm just gonna stick to dual nailguns power mode MUL-T and never use any other skill
god tier editing btw this is very nice compared to previous videos
A tip on Rex, Medkit heals the amount of health taken away by your secondary attack plus more. I healed myself to full in onslaught because of the over heal medkit gives while using that attack
The cooldown of the secondary is shorter than the medkit timer though, which means it often doesn't even proc between your M2's..
At least for me, I hardly ever proc the medkit midfight to be honest. And if I do need health, I just stop using health abilities and just keep doing M1
(which in that case, the medkit is just as useful on REX as any other character, really :P)
@@jim1816 i just dont spam the M2 like crazy, its a bad habbit. spam M1, use m2, wait for medkit , then repeat. when there are enemies in a group use 4th abilty and movment/pushing away use 3rd. your playing on death's door in every fight cause 50% of the time rex wont have oneshot protection on. sometimes i like to get shapped glass bc of that fact. but medkit over all should keep you at full if you use M2 wait for medkit to proc (cuase medkit will heal more than M2 will hurt you) rense repeat
@@carltonrainey4758 Tbh, I hardly get under 40-50% when I spam M1>M2>M1 rotation.. Having to wait for medkit between every rotation just hampers ur DPS, which REX has insane amounts of. :)
Again, not saying Medkit isn't useful on REX, just that it's not THAT huge (and for me usually is scrapper fodder if I find one of the big printers)
I just don't think u really need the medkit regen if you hit all (or most of them, no one's perfect :P) ur M1s and use ur AoE heals efficiently. ;)
@@carltonrainey4758 Then again, I just play Monsoon, I don't play eclipse. Your safer strat might prove much more useful there (for me personally). But hey, we all play differently, I imagine, so you do you! I'm sure we're both having good succes with it, REX is one of my favourite survivors.. especially once u get some mobility. :D
@@carltonrainey4758 Also one more thing, spamming M2 is not a bad habit. If you use M1, immediately M2 after and then M1 again, the M2 resets ur M1 attack timer. If you constantly do the M1>M2>M1 rotation, even without attack speed, you fire MUCH faster.
Wow, you just combined a whole bunch of previous videos into one with much better editting. Thank you so much for this quick and consise guide.
love the editing in this video, really informative
Shifting everything from “low medium high” to “medium high extreme” let’s everybody waiting to hear how their favorite survivor does get a little bit of extra dopamine. I’ve no doubt that change will make this guide much more well received just on a simple semantic change.
THATS NOT AN OBJECTIVE REVIEW THEN
dude this vid is quality, i love it. keep it up woolie.
love the editing here ☺️✨
These edits are very nice. Keep up the good stuff Woolie.
Dang, the editing on this vid is real nice. Top notch mr. streamer
hoooolyyyy this is such a great video in terms of editing quality
Love how your content getting better, thx Woolie, i know how to play that game, thou i really like to watch ALL your vids!
I absolutely EVISERATED Mithrix on my first try on eclipse 1 merc, and I am only an average level player, but I get that some people prefer a more passive strategy then Mercenary's high risk, higher reward strategy. keep making great stuff, Woolie!
As somebody who eats up tier list content, I will say that this less rigid character guide format is much better for singleplayer/PvE games, and lays the groundwork for more focused and civil discussions of characters and their strengths and weaknesses
btw what made you start liking acrid more? I personally thought he was cheeks for a long time but in the past couple days I've built up a pretty beefy eclipse winstreak with him, loops and all.
I was just getting back into RoR2. Finally beat Monsoon for my first time! I'm glad I can give myself a break from Commando, lol - so perfect timing for the video :)
glad you made a new video because all your other similar videos are 1 or 2 years old and it's hard to know for a new player if there has been any significant updates that change things
Great character tierlist 10/10 would watch again
The editing on this video was, dare i say, GOATED.
The editing and animations we're on point in this video.
YOOOOOO this video is sick man the editing is amazing
I've been playing ROR since 1 and tons of 2 since it came out, but I still love to check out these tips videos in case they might help me too.
As someone who mains merc with the “ranged” loadout, I’d say that visions is only good *after* you have a lot of proc items. In the earlygame where you don’t have many proc items, the expose extensions from cancelling laser sword help out a lot.
The editing style on this is so good
The graphics and visuals on this video are dope. Great job Mr. Streamer👍
I've only recently discovered ror2 but I absolutely love it :D I seem to have the most fun on engineer because I've always loved turret classes and his turrets are outrageously good! (I found spare parts for the first time yesterday) Second is probably bandit as he reminds me so much of my rogue days back on vanilla wow :D Thanks for the great vid and your description of merc seems 100% accurate! I work my ass off playing him but i love how much air hang time he has :D
I noticed the up in the editing and I love the quality of it also great vid
Nice editing, loved the transitions
Dude, the edit is sooo good!
Big fan of the increased production value 👏👏👏
Best guide you've ever put out
Awesome video dude.
i got this game a month ago and i'll say, dont worry new players, you get used to it a HELL of a lot faster than you think you will.
I honestly find the merc shifts interchangable, even though the dmg is pseudo-ranged on the alternate, having the extra expose proc while still maintaining the default special allows for consistent mobility and prolonged invincibility, due to making it easier to reset cooldowns
Okay: The information you gave about time is good and will help newer players a lot. I, personally, love full looting every stage. After all of the inferno runs I have done I can, generally, handle getting constantly swarmed. When I rush stages it is so easy that I get bored and then start a new run... granted: I have over 3k solid hours in ror2. I am a commando main, so I can get bored due to being too powerful very easily.
Shoutout to the UI type thing in the video, made everything very clear
I always loved rail gunner, when the dlc dropped I started to play a ton of rail gunner and discovered that it’s possible to 1 tap everything in the game (except the ones with 1 shot protection) with just like 1 glass shard and bands. Once, My friends and I were playing and we got to Voidling, where I proceeded to shoot it once and instantly remove its health bar every phase (this was 50 minute voidling)
love the new lay out thingies
I wouldn't consider Engineer at a medium consistency. He's the one survivor I almost never fail runs with, even without bungus/wungus. It's all about knowing where to dish out the turrets, mostly if you're being overwhelmed, and how to save your mines.
I would say before the update he was medium, after he is high, for me atleast
I think in part it might be due to Woolie I think preferring the Mobile turrets which can't hit certain enemy types and Harpoon. Mobile turrets are cool... but lack the mobility to effectively survive running straight up to the enemy often times so even with lots of movement speed they still get hit.
This means turrets fight enemy X as Y appears near you and you can't harpoon due to being close and with low mobility and no shield you just get slammed into the ground unless your mines somehow save you.
They don't sprint all the time like they should... meaning they can't even get the Wungus heal or Buckler Armor making them incredibly fragile while if you get Wungus you deny their ability to stop and heal after fights basically having turrets walk after you as you sprint in circles healing.
I could be wrong about his playstyle here, but if he prefers Mobile then he'd also likely have less experience with turret clipping and non-cheese turret placement.
The thing is though if you don’t find any movement items in the first few stages you’re gonna have a tough time
I agree. He's piss easy to play once you know where melee enemies can't reach the stationary turrets. Just abuse the terrain and I'd say engi is high consistency.
If you have movement and mobility items you should be good I guess woolie is saying he isn’t as consistent if he doesn’t have those
Can't wait for this vid to get updated when seekers of the storm drops
bro this editing is NICE
Now THAT'S what I'd call a powerpoint presentation
I feel like the void cell should also be on standout items for engi as having a third turret is a 1/4th damage increase...
I like the new editing style
Hands down, this video is so well made. A perfect Balance between helpfulf information (what we were looking for obv) and humor to make it more accessable for the viewer and easier to remember it. The editing is so good that you can make screenshots of the video to look at at all times if you wanna know something again.
Love the graphics very clean!
As a Loader main this motivated me.
Thank you for this update!
watching this video was just satisfying
the editing is on point
very good video mr streamer very nice
Sweet editing
Artificer becomes infinitely consistent once you get ice spear and ion surge. You can reliably fly away from every mechanic in the game and your executes make you permanently useful in groups.
Holy hot damn man this video looks good
