- Welcome to our trailer for the Cobblemon 1.5 Update, Ruins & Revival! This update is for Java Minecraft 1.20.1 for Fabric and Forge.
This update brings with it many new features, including: 99+ new Pokémon species, ruins and fossil structures, Tumblestones and ancient Poké balls, the Automaton armor trim, a Restoration Machine capable of reviving all fossil Pokémon, and much more!

I love how cobblemon isn’t just adding Pokémon to Minecraft it’s integrating them, making them feel like real animals in this world of cubes
2000 years of human evolution all spent on making fictional creatures very lively and full of personality

I mean, at some point they kind of have to if they want to keep on updating the mod. Just adding more pokemon wouldn't do much, after all. Eventually they would end up with nothing else to do except work on integration and such.

@@umamifan Pixelmon somehow managed to get by on just adding directly imported models for years. So clearly it is possible to just skate by if the team doesn't really care.

Also, we tossed around having the player having their own faint in the trailer in one of the more dangerous of the new structures. In the end, we decided against it but get ready to travel far and wide, and sometimes with a careful step!

There’s a sneak leak available from a youtuber who I don’t know their name, but the one thing I remember, is the fishing update and they’re adding the Magikarp variants from Magikarp jump!!! ❤❤❤

So happy that the update is finally here, I truly love this mod !
This really wil be a game changer when every move will be animated in a Battle revolution kind of over the top way, like Squirtle's attack, especially when they each can get 2-3 variants of the same attack. Tho that would cost a lot of time and work of course, but the future looks bright with the liveliness potential this mod has.
The FPS wasn't very solid in this trailer tho, im not sure if the creator of the trailer is aware of that, his hardware could of course not be good enough, but its not that big of a deal, but it would give the trailer some more justice, because its very solid!
I would alao like a quick battle mode because now is too slow.
Games need to respect the player's time.

Hi hi, I do 90% of the game capture for Cobblemon rn and unfortunately I’m stuck on an M1 Mac mini for now and while this baby is pretty surprisingly capable, it is what it is until I have the means to change that.
I don’t disagree with you at all though that some clips are distractingly framey. Ideally we’d have weeded them out and replaced them before posting, but alas at some point done trumped perfect.
In the last trailer, there were some shader inconsistencies that bothered me quite a bit but that basically no one noticed. The frames of some shots (I believe it’s mainly the jungle transition, or that’s where I notice it) are clearly more jarring. I’ll keep this feedback in mind.
That said, one of my favorite shots is golurk going to sleep (that and the player running with the moon). It’s actually a 4k render at 60 frames and a depth based camera blur. I started leading these projects with little experience at this level of production and am extremely excited to continue to grow through the process.

@@virtcreates The work in progress BBS (by McHorse) mod has a video recording feature ala Minema which might help you out! Not Blockbuster or the BBS Application, but the BBS _mod_ .

god this mod and it's team are so amazing, I'm really excited to when the mod reaches the gyms update with trainer and battle effects and possibly pvp, it's so well done and has so much heart into it

I love that each update isn’t just new Pokemon, the care put into each one is astounding and clearly focuses more on the player experience, which I fully support!
Well, Cobblemon is now officially better than the last official Pokémon game. Battle animations were the only thing missing , so I'm happy to see them starting with even more immersion .

I haven't been excited about mod like this never, from the animations, models, concepts and ideas, structures, everything is done to minute details. All the models and animations are so good! (i love the minecraft-y detail of gholdengo having netherite trunks on) and the fact that some stage 1 pokemon can sit apon your shoulder is so cute! you guys deserve a huge pat on the back for fusing the vibes of minecraft and pokemon perfectly and i can't wait to see what comes next!

I just ran a test drive of sorts of the new update and it's amazing! I tried out the flight following mechanics with a few other mods and some of the flying 'mons, truly a wonderful experience to see your team flying alongside you(though if the flight mechanics have existed for awhile then please see this as a late thank you). The new pokemon are so cute too!!!! I can't wait to play survival! ❤

I mean in terms of it

the simple things like sleeping animations, and the crabby one opens so many doors for so many things to do,
So I can imagine, if not the main mod, an addon will add stuff like bug/spider pokemon hanging from trees, walking on ceilings, water pokemon coming out to bathe in the sun, or go deep in the water if its too cold, or fire pokemon avoiding rain etc, I mean there is an addon for a similiar mod, but I can see the Amazing devs coming up with something crazy like that,
I cannot wait to see how this mod evolves, it keeps exceeding all my expectations with every update, and every trailer makes this world seem more and more alive, I can't wait to see what you crazy talented devs make next, thank you so much

It's times like these that I wish my computer could handle minecraft...
Amazing trailer, amazing mod, excited for next update (take your time, it's fine). At one point you will have to put legendaries on it, something that i think it would be cool is that the box legendaries and some other special ones could wait on constructions, so you would have to find it and do some side quest to spawn it. Like Rayquaza, make it spawn on top of sky pillar, but to spawn it you need to have all mega Stones (if you use only one, he appears with his normal ability), or ho-ho, spawning at the top of his tower, but only of you have a rainbow feather, that you need to craft after beating the three legendarie beasts, or mewtwo, that spawn on a destroyed lab, but to make it happen you need mew's Dna, and so on
I know its been said a million times but you guys "integrating" Pokémon into the game rather than just "adding" them makes a world of difference. keep it up :D

Since the beginning of Cobblemon development, I had always doubted the team, I never believe that the mod will be good, "just some pokemon but cubic, what's new?".
But now consider you guys chose to add Bob Ross as pokemon, the mod is now 10/10 MOD OF THE YEAR
Joke aside, my love for this mod and its dev team will never fade.

wow the character animations look just spectacular. very talented team dedicated to bringing the world of pokemon to life
Also last I checked there were some pokemon slightly underwhelming in animation and design relative to whats shown in the trailer but I have a lot of faith in this team that theyll bring the content that people want parity for compared to pixelmon but maybe more importantly being able to keep their aesthetic authentic to minecrafts and still breathe a soul into the monsters we love
@@mrmach2741 There's a lot of remodels and reanimations the team is working on. Some pokemon don't have animations at all, but rather placeholder animations. It's not complete, but we'll get there one day!

This is genuinely my favourite Minecraft mod of all time, you can tell how passionate the team is! Cobblemon is so beautifully crafted and such a joy to play. Absolutely wonderful work as always, so hyped to jump into 1.5 with some mates and have an absolute blast all over again 🥰 This mod is unbelievably fun! My shiny Yanmega is about to go on so many massive adventures to find all the awesome new stuff >:D So exciting!
