1:07 Yes, most enemies cannot teleport to you pre-5BSC, emphasis on MOST. Enemies like the Runner and Dark Tracker can still teleport to you no matter your boss cell level. 1:33 Parrying is AMAZING especially with certain mutations that work with parrying. 2:06 If you choose to not go to a specific biome for many times, on your runs, it will have an icon with cells and money over it, meaning it is "incentivized", which drops more money and cells. Could be useful for runs that you feel you can be confident in and invest more on upgrades. 3:27 I'd like to counter this: try to get amulets that will synergize with your builds. For example, if you have a weapon that sets things on fire, you might want an amulet that makes your downward smashes spread flammable oil on the ground. 3:42 Remember that you can always find food in secrets and also dropped by enemies, and a good method I like to use is to not immediately sell the food when I don't need it; instead, I clear the whole level and come back in case I need the food, and if I really don't need it, I simply sell it. This is way better in 5BSC difficulty, as sometimes food shops do not sell health flasks. 4:41 Absolutely. If you feel that a legendary is really good but not as good as your current build, something I like to do is to put it in my backpack and get one of the pack mutations so that I can use it even if it's in my backpack. I hope this helped some people new to the game!
I think he meant affixes > Roman numeral because if you take a early legendary, that can't be upgraded and if the affixes suck, you'll be SOL until a better one comes.
Really? I beat hand of the king with an insta-charge legendary flint too! I found it in the end of forgotten sepulcher. As usual, time keeper was a cakewalk. Even more so because I was dealing 4000 damage per direct hit, and 1000 with the flames.
@@mikoajmajka5312 i havent watched harry potter and i know dumbledore dies but that doesnt mean i wanna see clips of the film before i sit down and watch the film, you get what i mean?
I Always found jumping to be rather unsafe, because youre still gonna get hit if, especially in higher Bosscells where you will Encounter enemies like the failed experiment, which will pretty much Always be tall enough to cover the whole height of the room, so jumping over them would be a death sentence because you cant. But yes on lower bc levels it can be used, but there most likely Not that many enemies anyways, so you dont have to worry about dodging.
Jumping is super goated against HotK and timekeeper though. Don't know how I'd beat them consistently without it. Not even counting the ice platforms, roll-jump-roll is such an efficient way to dodge hand's three hit combo, and his shoulder charge is super easy to jump as well
It should be said even at 4 or 5 bc you should still use the runaway tactics on some enemies and mobs. The repositioning and teleportation can be use to your advantage to make them more manageable. Still remember this tactic is situational. Part of beating these bcs is making good decisions and learning when to use this. Second builds are important especially learning to build around both weapon and affixes. A few skills/powers should be considered to be taken off color.
I’m glad I’m not the only one who made “lore builds” for all the new castlevania characters I was pleasantly surprised that my alucard run was legitimized by the fact I referred to Dracula as “father” and it was like sotn all over again
THIS!!! Exactly what I been looking for. Very on point! Lots of cool 'tips and guilds' videos on UA-cam be like talking about the fancy stuff such as the combinations of gears, the combinations of affixes and whatnot. But the actual core factor, the hidden hero that nobody expect is... RUN. Even in those mentioned videos we can see constant running, but usually do not pay attention since the message is about something else. Problem with beginners is that they make the most inherent mistake of gamers: You see enemies, you smash! Even I, at 2BC, still commit to that up until the moment of this comment. Dead Cells is by no mean an easy roguelike game. The higher the BC, the more unforgiving it becomes. Just a few touches and you are done. Parry is certainly important, but even if we are good at it, we will eventually screw up when facing a mob or boss. Armadillopack is also an amazing invention, but it is situational. Sometimes it can actually even limit the options to escape. Afraid of moving to unknown areas, or having to reply on map too much, is also the biggest obstacle that prevents us to run freely. Now I finally get it. The basic ingredients are: Roll, Run, Jump, and Parry. Throw everything you have at them in the process and/or find a sweet spot where you feel confident to hit them with the main weapon. After you're done in a sector full of enemy, you can check the map. I will have to try what I have just realized in the next run.
Thanks for this guide. Unfortunately for me there's a lot missing considering you calling it a "complete guide". I just started Dead Cells and I'm really confused on what are things that impact on my next runs and which decisions only influence my present run and are gone with in-game death.

This is tips for beginners, but I feel like I'm still not a beginner yet. Most of the stuff commented I didn't even understand. For example the cook, where can I find him, when do I unlock him? Btw, could you do a really beginner video? I don't even know what the skull icon on the screen means, but I feel like it's important.
Great roundup 👍 but people who lean on the advice "don't be afraid to run" will be in for a nasty surprise when they discover golems in the slumbering sanctuary 😂
Friends, I have a problem. I finished the Dead Cells, I killed the Hand of the King 4 times and Dracula once. He gave me the BC for the first time when I killed the hane of the King, but no matter how hard I try, I can't use it. That is, the part where you can place BCs and use them to increase the difficulty of the game, does not work at all; it is there, but I cannot use it, when I go near it, there is no option to place BC. I looked in the store that increases the weapons, BC was not placed at all and could not be. I play Dead Cells on mobile. I wanted to know what is the problem? And how to solve it? thanks a lot
I just started playing this game and I love it! It's not full Insanity its part Insanity! Doing the same thing expecting different results except it's all about gear! I have had some terrible gear and get to the first boss to get wreaked bad but next turn come back with awesome gear and wreak him easily to get killed by some common enemy usually by a dumb move on my part lol! I bought the vanilla copy last week and been enjoying it so much I grabbed all the dlc this week except return to Castlevania which I'm grabbing next week! I should of grabbed this game along time ago! As a big time Castlevania fan ready to see Dracula's castle again!
Im on Boss Cell 5 myself. I keep trying to beat Castlevania do I can unlock Richter Mode and get Alucard Sword and High Boots but, I dont know, I must be doing something wrong. After Dracs Castle i go to fight Death, then i think you need to go to Fractured Shrines, Clock Tower,Clock Room but then no exit for Masters Keep. No idea what im doing wrong. Then theres just WHAT to do to get Richter, like what cell, first run unlock, etc. I dont know. I figure it out eventually.

Do you have any tips for someone who's really bad at parrying? I tried doing runs with a shield, but I almost never manage to get anywhere far. I got stuck at Time Keeper and I think she'd be good to use a shield on, but I never manage to get to her with a shield.
One thing that helped me is paying attention to the yellow exclamation point that appears when the enemy is about to attack. When that appears, press the shield button to parry.
The Other dlcs, Like fatal falls, Bad seeds and Queen and the sea, are also worth every penny, but they are even tougher than the Game itself is. So id recommend only trying them after you got good. Fatal falls and Bad seeds are Not that hard, but Queen and the sea has probably the coolest Bossfight and also one of the hardest, so id buy that dlc If you got really good.
