The Spice Girls shouted "Girl power" all over place but did nothing to warrant having that title bestowed upon them , Siouxsie, the Slits and loads of underground Anarcho punk bands in the 70's and 80's with female singers proved they had more G P than the Spice girls could dream of , all they did was shout about it , these women proved it so had no need to shout it!
The music industry and media have oppressed the whole punk / post punk culture out of history cos they dont want strong women or anyone to think for themselves or create art that challenges the status quo they dont want real artists they want puppets. Girl Power was actually Girl manipulation in the 90's .
This song is impressive, one of their best 10 I would say.
If not the best she is singing from the past to today she is talking about the present days of the world

Siouxsie can't sing anymore. This is not gonna happen. Unfortunately.
It's not likely Siouxsie will ever tour again. Sadly her voice won't allow it. But maybe, just maybe we might get a new album from her. It could be new recordings or older material that was never released. Or perhaps a combination of both. 2015's "Love Crime" was proof that she can still deliver the goods, at least in a studio. But even that song is going on 7 years old now. All we can do is hope she "ain't done yet" as she proclaimed in 2011 at the Q Music awards.

It shows as being the end of the Banshees - its like a glitzy pot of visual ideas with no soul and the rest of the band look barely interested .

Yes I think this is the single mix. I read that it's the version on the 'Best of' and now it's replaced the original mix on the recent 'Rapture' remaster.

Yes, the bass is louder and it squashes the spiky guitars. It is a radio fm sound that works against the power of the song
And now there is a new gimmick made by the cello upfront in this big noisy mix that is disturbing and spoils the beauty of the tunes. Too bad that the great guitars are drowned in the mix now.

This is the Mark Saunders mix of Stargazer, the initial release of the Rapture cd in 1995 included the band's mix of Stargazer which is better to my view

Wrong decision to release Stargazer and O Baby as singles.... Not Forgotten, Sick Child and Fall from Grace are much better Tracks on the Rapture Album. Plus it´s pretty disrespectful that Martin McCarrick and Jon Klein do not appear in the video clips since both were full time band members.
I found that album so bipolarish and wild but also beautiful and real. I love the 'O baby' and 'Stargazer' videos, maybe they could make a space for the others members of the band in it, good call.
O Baby was wrong altogether. A horrible song which never have been recorded or permitted to see light of day.
I sure hope that show "Stranger Things " doesn't discover this" hidden gem" from my childhood and ruin it the way the ruined Running Up that Hill by Kate Bush!😭😭 ..
