    The petal, her bloom undulate to the dance of her lover, her facets unborn til his gentle caress. Rose bud, she kills me softly, till the nightingale announces my demise, and caressing moonlight overtakes mehs by surprise.

    Rumi denounced Islam. He said, “Without demolishing religious schools and minarets and without abandoning the beliefs and ideas of the medieval age, restriction in thoughts and pains in conscience will not end. Without understanding that unbelief is a kind of religion, and that conservative religious belief a kind of disbelief, and without showing tolerance to opposite ideas, one cannot succeed. "

    Rumi...has realised...in himself...the highest truth...what the SELF is...or What the SELF...is NOT!
    I am NOT...from the east...I am NOT...from the west...not compose from elements... at all (microcosms) !!! ...I have seen the two worlds as "ONE" inner & outer (beyond mind & matter)! - Only breath -

    Deeply sorry to see that people did not and do not understand Rumi. His Masnavi starts with the words: "Hadha kitâbu 'l- mathnawîy wa huwa uSûlu uSûli uSûli 'd-dîn wa kashshâfu 'l-qur'ân."
    And you are yet trying to state Rumi was a islamophobe? Please, Rumi knew Islam comes from the heart. And to be honest, I've never heard about a quote like the one you stated in your comment. Once again, try to understand Rumi in his own language and you'll see the real meanings of things.

    Rumi was one of the early Islamophobes. Sufis were always persecuted and murdered after Arab invasions and conquests of the regions. Rumi said: “Without demolishing religious schools (madrassahs) and minarets and without abandoning the beliefs and ideas of the medieval age, restriction in thoughts and pains in conscience will not end."

    What is written on Wikipedia about Rumi's Masnavi is true. The quote this man uses to tell everyone Rumi was a Islamophobe, is an quote which isn't written in any reliable source about Rumi and Sufism. Sufism comes from Islam which is the religion of love and faith.

    No he wasn't. Rumi would be called an Islamophobe. He said about Islam, “Without demolishing religious schools and minarets and without abandoning the beliefs and ideas of the medieval age, restriction in thoughts and pains in conscience will not end. Without understanding that unbelief is a kind of religion, and that conservative religious belief a kind of disbelief, and without showing tolerance to opposite ideas, one cannot succeed."

  • @goldengun27
    @goldengun27 11 років тому

    Wrong. Really wrong. I can not understand why you would try to manipulate facts about Sufism and Rumi. Rumi was a believer and so was Shams Tabrizi.

  • @B52347

    Rumi was influenced by Christianity and Greek mysticism.

    thenarnialamppose slanders islam, not realizing rumi was a servant of allah and mohammed (pbuh)

  • @B52347
    @B52347 11 років тому

    Nothing to do with Islam. It predates Islam. Sufis are executed and persecuted in Islam and considered to be heredic, and always have been known as heredic. Last year many Sufi shrines were destroyed. Rumi grew up in Christian and Jewish dominated regions until his family was forced to move due to Arab conquests and violence.
