    Use STAINLESS STEEL STAPLES!! I know I am very late to this, but this is critical.

    Thanks. This helped. I got an old bayliner too where a PO went to town on it with pool noodles,astroturf and a cartridge of construction adhesive. Since I cant examine how these panels where constructed or attached by bayliner since they where replaced with pool noodles to attempt to recreate them. These vids helped alot.

    Very impressive my friend,like u I try and do a lot of stuff myself do to expenses.Appreciate anyone who takes the time to video and share there DIY projects,that’s a whole separate job and labor intensive with all the editing.Anyways I’m curious if a person would save any time salvaging old vinyl to trace patterns on new? Also what was your out of pocket cost for vinyl seats included? Again appreciate all your videos they are very well done.

    • @MileHighCampers
      @MileHighCampers  3 роки тому +1

      Thanks for the great feedback!! When it came to the back to back seats, those were the only good thing about the boat interior when I got it, the previous owners had just put them in prior to me acquiring the boat, so those were not included in my overall cost. I think you can find them anywhere from $200 - $400 online.

    Wow, you are awesome mate. I'm excited now to do upholster side panels for my boat. Couple of questions if you don't mind. What kind of materials the wood panel? I mean it is not a marine grade plywood? What is materials tag tape? Any hints how to design panels? I like that curves, but not sure if I can cut and upholster them myself lol. Thanks again for the video

    • @MileHighCampers
      @MileHighCampers  4 роки тому +1

      In this case I think the wood was just painted by the factory. A marine grade wood that is treated would be better, or better yet a plastic like material would be even better because it would not rot if you could find something like that. I think the design would depend on the layout of your boat. If you don't have any panels you can reuse, than custom making the panels could be a challenge but you may want to keep the design simple, not to exceed your abilities. Hope that helps, thanks for watching!!

    Great job, but looking to see how you installed them

    • @MileHighCampers
      @MileHighCampers  3 роки тому

      I installed them the reverse way that I took them out. Here is a link to the video I did on the removal, hopefully that will give you and idea. They are not the easiest to get on and off but not too bad with a little patience finding all the screws and nuts/bolts. ua-cam.com/video/lki3037K7CM/v-deo.html

    Great video. Got me prepared to redo my boat in the fall. My question would be how did you determine how much material to order?

    • @MileHighCampers
      @MileHighCampers  4 роки тому

      Glad to hear the video helped you out!! That is a great question, in the end I over purchased the white vinyl and had a lot left over... sadly I do not have a good answer for you, aside from removing the old vinyl and measuring out how much was used and than adding a little for cuts and mistakes.

    So I Hawaiian few 4x8 3/8 white vinyl sheets can a guy use them to replace any rotted wood for like around the motor dog house area ?

    • @MileHighCampers
      @MileHighCampers  3 роки тому

      You may want to treat the wood with something or at least paint it so it will repel the water as much as possible, untreated wood could rot quickly once installed and than you will need to do it again... at least that has been what I have seen. probably many ways to do it. Good luck with your project!

  • @michaelh7770

    Nice work. Exactly what marine vinyl did you go with? Spradling, Enduratex, etc.?

    • @MileHighCampers
      @MileHighCampers  5 років тому +1

      I used a brand called Morbern, It was decent quality at a mid range price. If I were to do it again I might go for a higher quality. But it really boils to budget and how much abuse the vinyl gets. Thanks for watching!!

    stainless staples?

    • @MileHighCampers
      @MileHighCampers  3 роки тому

      They are a little more pricey but Stainless Steel Staples are highly recommended. Regular staples rust easy.

    BUT WHY USING THE SAME ROUTED OUT WOOD THO.....

    • @MileHighCampers
      @MileHighCampers  3 роки тому

      You can replace the wood for sure! For my situation I was on a tight budget and didn't have the extra funds to spend on new treated wood.
