He WAS great. His voice was amazing and he was pretty much hitting all the notes all the time. Imagine if he hadn't been on drugs...Don't forget he was also playing the guitar and rocking. That's pretty exhausting. All the other singers, just sing...they can concentrate on just being good singers.
^hitting all the notes ? lol Kurt is a unique singer but not the best if we talk in technique, please next time in your life dont talk about something if you dont know it
He makes guitar playing and vocals seem so easy; fluid, mellow & poignantly nostalgic. kurt influenced me to develop my voice, no matter how scary it is to others lol
im 100% sure you dont know how to play guitar because this song is super fucking easy try listening to holy wars by megadeth thats way harder to play and sing
Same! Kurt inspired to want to become a singer and guitar player myself and I’m practicing a lot…. I think the first thing to do is just start doing it and don’t give up 🤝
If there's one thing I took away from Nirvana, it's that pain is very real no matter how small it might seem on the outside and the degree of pain is relative to how much you've experienced before. Eventually you become numb I guess. I first loved Nirvana when I was a little and no matter what music I got into throughout life, I always came back to them, especially in the bad times. As an adult in my late 20s now, I come back to Nirvana and smile with nostalgia but also in a self reflective way. I smile like you would seeing a kid be young, innocent, dumb and happy. In a way it makes me remember my younger self like he's my little brother. I look back and smile because the pain I felt and related to back when I was a teenager was so insignificant to what I can deal with now as a stronger person. I smile at the victory of it almost. There were times when I genuinely couldn't bare to live and couldn't imagine actually living any more into the future. I swear to you with all sincerity I genuinely hit lows that were so dark I couldn't conceive of the idea of things getting better and having a life worth living. But here I am, pretty content, I made it. Sounds dramatic I know. Just another reason why I smile at it. I almost rolled my eyes reading back lol. But at the time, that is genuinely how I felt. Just complete doom and darkness, and Nirvana was the only place I could go to to at least feel something. Nirvana taught me that pain is very real but life goes on and you become stronger no matter how little you believe that at the time. Whatever you feel right now will be different in the future. I understand why Kurt decided to end it, I just wished he hung on a bit longer, he would have made it I'm telling you. He just needed to survive that rock bottom.
Debatable. At many shows Kurt was high as a kite and would constantly fuck up the songs, at least on guitar. Personally I still love it as it juat adds to the whole Grungy-ness of the music, but it'd deter many from listening
