This is my eternal battle with gen x people saying that music nowadays is bad. No, they crush anybody coming from being great with all this negativity we suffered from boomers when they used to say that Nirvana sucked and it was horrendous noise. We need to support the kids and give them a chance...even that XXXtentacion album was so good and people just crushed it cos they couldn't understand it. Gen x and millenials are becoming the same annoying people boomers used to be. Fuck I remember my dad saying that the Chili Peppers were never going to make it when we saw this video of Catholic school girls rule LOL
@Steev Thompson just the same way a boomer would never get the last 5 minutes of distortion of Sonic Youth's "Diamond Sea" man... let alone leaving deaf after a concert of the Melvins. It's all generational in the end. I've got a 2 year old son and fuck knows what he's gonna be into in 12 years time but I swear to you that my parents thought I was autistic when they heard me playing Aphex Twin in my room.
this is the best song, and this performance is incredible. Kurt was unique. Nirvana were such an amazing band. sad they were only around for a few years. their music is meaningful and makes me feel better when I listen to it. the lyrics are perfect. these are songs you never get tired of listening to
There hasn't been another musician in the last 30 years who changed the trajectory of music other than Kurt Cobain ..will never see the likes of his kind again I don't think in my lifetime ..I'm glad I got to experience Nirvana as a teenager , I know what Beatles fans felt like ..Great band for all time ..
Grazie Kurt...
The Toronto Rock and Roll Revival was a one-day, twelve-hour music festival held in Toronto, Ontario, Canada on September 13, 1969. It featured a number of popular musical acts from the 1950s and 1960s. The festival is particularly notable as featuring an appearance by John Lennon, Yoko Ono, and Eric Clapton as the Plastic Ono Band, which resulted in the release of their Live Peace in Toronto 1969 album. The festival was also the subject of two films: D.A. Pennebaker film Sweet Toronto and the 2022 Ron Chapman film Revival 69: The Concert That Rocked the World.
I was at this festival. The were on in the middle of the afternoon before Chapterhouse. I'd never heard of them and I remember thinking they were a bit crap at the time. I think we went to the beer tent halfway through their set. lol Who Knew? I think they headlined the following year.
Probably the best live version. Kurt’s vocals are so great here
Very good
For live performances, the standard tuning days are much better
He probably gave it his best since this was there first big show.
Tallahasee one is the best
Back in 1991 he cared a lot about it. 1992 Reading sound terrible.
Bro..... tucked in Dinosaur Jr tee with pink pants on a 6' 6" Novaselic.... so great
It’s a bassist thing I should know I’m a bassist to
He's 7ft
@@yourmumslovely6063 He's 11ft
Come as you are in standard tuning! 😆🤘🔥
True, I never heard in that tuning live till now
@@Anzac1 They did standard from early 91 up until 30 /1/92 (if i remember well)
@@Giova590 Sounds right. Then they went to D standard for a bit and then went to Eb standard.
@@inutero2068 Exactly. They did D standard until the last concert of the tour in Hawaii
Guitar sounds so cool 😌⚘
@@danill4381 Nah, it's a Seymour Duncan 59 neck pick up in the bridge position
@@carsonrunyon6099 and it's also a humbucker not a single coil
i think he's using a chorus pedal
Electro Harmonix Small Clone Chorus!!
@@danill4381 Pretty sure he's playing a guitar actually.
Is that Dave saying no I don't have a gun? Man some of the best live vocals I've ever heard
Yeah, Dave is harmonizing with Kurt
Little did they know that a month later they would be one of the best bands of all time

Same, friend. Kurt and Nirvana have been there for me whenever I needed em most. I'm so incredibly thankful for that.
@@rjmacready6693 I agree
Krist Novoselic is hands down the most underrated cool guy in rock n roll. He is fuckin miles davis level cool
Agreed also he’s the most chill bassist I’ve seen
Nikolai Fraiture

Probably my most favorite live version of this song 🙌🏾

I love that at the beginning of the song Dave says he wrote all of the songs they are playing and Kurt Cobain just looks at him, classic.
Dave jokingly says Tony wrote them. He's the guy dancing around on stage.

it's not like it's an addictive song to listen to or anything, the verse is unintentionally plagarized and the outro has a half assed melody at best.
I'm sorry and you are?
Ok boomer
