If you get a great roll rare and you want to enchant 1 affix, enchant first before you apply an aspect or gem slots, it is cheaper to enchant a rare piece of gear than a legendary with max gem slots
12:23 Pressure point is actually more closer to one out of ten hits. You have to first roll for the chance to get Lucky Hit which for whirlwind is 30% base chance(can be increase with lucky hit chance). Than after getting the Lucky Hit you roll for the 30% chance for vulnerable effect. Edit: I made a mistake. whirlwind base lucky hit chance is 20% so it is one in 16 hits or about 6% chance.
Upvoting this. Lucky hit is not such a hot stat or thing to build around as a WW barb. Sure it'll happen occasionally in a massive pack, but its really hard to make it reliable. Lucky hit is also multiplicative not additive which makes it even worse. What does this mean? Say you find a pair of gloves with 10% lucky hit. WW has a 20% base lucky hit. Putting those gloves on makes your lucky hit 22%, NOT 30%.
What is the small red icon in the top right corner of your items? You have that icon on your helm, chest, gloves, shoulder and 2 hand blunt weapon. I don't have that icon on any of my gear and im wondering if im missing on some game mechanic.
FYI the Exploit Glyph has a different effect for Sorcerers and Necromancers. Its still pretty good but not as invaluable as it is for rogues/druids/barbs
Question. What weapons allow you to have 2 socketed gems in 1 weapon? I'm on ps5 however have not seen any weapons with more than 1 socket nor does it allpw me to add a second socket to weapons ingame in World tier 4. Would be awesome if you could point me in the right direction to getting 2 sockets on 1 weapon or offhand item..
How does one see the parameters of the stats that drop, like your gear rolled 16% move speed out of 10-22% mine doesn’t currently have that and I’d like to have it so I know how good a piece of gear is. Thanks!
I’m currently work on a Alt in the form B of a Barbarian whirl wing build lvl30 and my main sorcerer is ice and lightning arc lash lvl 64 but I’ve gotten bored of sorcerer so Barbarian is what I’m working on now sorcerer is ultra squishy but it does wreck with Barbarian you can straight up tank right in the enemies face I can’t wait till I get more damage outta barbarian with the right aspects and passives I’ll get there
So it’s attack power/strength more important than DPS? I jumped over to WT3 and getting better DPS but no strength boost so my attack power drops like crazy.
Good tips, thanks for the video. :) altho, thanks to you talking about upgrading gear, the fact that your rings and amulet wasn't upgraded, triggered me somehow the whole lenght of the video. xD
In my experience the affixes I want for jewelry (reduced cooldown, reduced blue juice cost, increased blue juice generation, +life can be hard to find in the right combination so it can take a while to upgrade from sacred to ancestral on rings and amulet unless you get lucky, sacred in the right affixes for your build is better than ancestral in the wrong affixes
The exploit glyph must be different for Barbs. Mine says the following, which is a very different thing than what you are preaching: "Dealing damage to a vulnerable enemy increases your damage by 1% [x] for 6 seconds up to 10% [x]". You should keep in mind class differences.
What I found weird is, if you are using wand/dagger and focus as sorc, your per cast skill raw damage is significantly lower than staff. It's just me or something isn't right... *Thanks for the replies, it's really informative
Damage scales off of weapon damage. One handers have less weapon damage, but faster attack speed. You can also have 2 different aspects and more innate stats.
You're comparing damage per second to damage per hit without adjusting for weapon speed. For your big hit skills with a cooldown you should focus on the per hit damage. For your fast cast & channeled skills, attack speed can be very worth leaning into. In your situation, you want BIG, SLOW, two handed weapons - per cast damage depends on damage per hit, not damage per second.
@@Soundwave299 channeled stuff that has a constant tic rate, or damage skills without a cast delay can give you better results with the higher base damage lower DPS weapons. "One combo man" and "Me and this army" builds tend to lean toward "big stick" over "stat stick" gear. Myself, I bring an army, corpse explosion, and enough corpse generation to empty the paris catacombs every couple encounters.
Adding a socket doesn’t only cost gold. It also costs a rare material you can only get from legion events or world bosses. If you don’t participate in those often or at all, you won’t be able to add sockets to your gear very often
Depends on the build if your spamming cores. I look for core, close enemy, vulnerable, crit damage, stunned, dual 1 handed weapons, and damage while fortified. Healthy and injured isn’t really the useful to me.
Depends on your build. Assuming your play style is to always be using core skills when you can and basics are mostly for mana yeah it’s great. It’s great because you know it’s always working without other contingent status situations. But my rogue build, for instance, uses core strategically/sporadically enough that while it is a big damage shot I’d rather take an equal percent to basic damage possibly, or other stats. But my necro would have core damage as near the top of the list.
last time i looked and did some tests attack power is just weapon damage + main stat so for barb its Weapon + strength modifier if you have a ring with no main stat just crit dam vaulnarable damage and such you can remove it with out losing any attack power in the tool tip even though you just lost a TON
ohh and you gota try and balance your damage ( weapon damage + main stat ) x (crit and crit damage ) x ( all the diffrent damage modifiers bleed/close/far/what ever...) and last but by for not least is Vaulnarable in there own catagory so dont go to crazy in one area 100% crit and 1000%crit damage is gona do less damage than 100crit with 400crit damage x 300 damage modifier + 300 vaulnarable
It is so misleading, me and my buddy are both playing sorcs and I was getting frustrated because his attack power was way higher. He was using a staff and I was using a wand. I figured it out when we got to T4, my wand and focus were item lvl 810 his staff was 650, but his AP was still higher.
I have a weapon that I found around level 20 that's got + 55 strings in the + 28 alstadts and everytime I unequip it to put something new on it does less damage and nothing else seems to be dropping with strength or boost to all stats. Currently I am level 50 and I have not found anything to replace it
I still struggle with choosing items to use. You get so many rares and even legendaries that it's confusing and time consuming having to check them all. Attack power is also confusing and misleading as I get it. Right now I'm only keeping legendaries (or extracted aspects) with perfect or close to perfect roll of the legendary power. For rares I don't even bother if not sacred (wt3 right now); if sacred i first check if it has bonus for my core skill, if it's a piece that would replace something that is already giving me a 'plus' to core skill, else I look for critical strike, close damage, overpower, bleeding (I have a hota barb) or for 'support' items I look for cooldown reduction, armor, life. Though it's impossible to find an item that has multiple useful affixes, usually I only get one, so I end up selling/recycling almost everything. Should I upgrade even if I find a single affix that is higher? (for example I get a higher critical strike damage but other affixes are not good?) Is this an acceptable process? What's your process? How do you choose what to keep?
Crit damage and Vuln damage are multiplicative, so they are massive. Damage TO stats are all added together and then multiplied. Because it's way easier to get damage TO stats, mainly through paragon board and on a wider variety of gear...look for crit chance, crit damage, and vuln damage anywhere you can. For chest/Pants you want all defensive stats.
The breakpoints for bigger stats are at total item power of 1,150,340,460,625,725 and 820(not sure on this one as I'm not there yet) I'm currently on world tier 3 and throw away pretty much everything that isn't sacred and base 700 item power.
let me help you out for stat affix prio on ww barb vul > crit dmg > str > core > close (do not take slowed, cc, etc as these mods do not work on bosses)
Another mistake lots of players think is the rarity of the mats persists as you level. Dont worry about saving mats. Upgrade your stuff you will be swimming in mats after you play a little more. Your perspective at 62 is pretty skewed. Just play the game and level up and stop wasting so much time at lower levels. .
Tbh its good design. You lack some armor but you have god roll stats. Same in PoE. You can have item that rolled best stats but they have low value but having all of them sometimes make you use this item for looong time
Yes, this is a build I was testing so didn’t start channeling all my affixes. WW Barb has an aspect that when you use whirlwind you get a 48% Crit chance bonus so I get an extra 50% for free
@@CreativeGamingUA-camare you sure that ~50% is additive and not a multiplier? When you go over the limit for the level bracket on a specific stat with upgrades it does reroll in the range of the new bracket it reached and your max roll can become a low roll like that.
