Love the podcast. This is what i've been looking for. Regular normal gamer dudes just chatting about games
A variety of dynamic events would go a long way in a game like this. Especially if you have it centered around the idea that it would help your faction control the map, get new gear, new POIs only visible to the team that has control, new special quests/objectives, etc. Breaks the quest loop/exploring with a frantic call out on the faction radio about new orders to go here and what it means for the faction if you control it.
Dynamic PvE events is basically what Deadside does in lieu of trader quests, and that game really is DayZ without zombies. Does work to funnel players together and force PvP on PvP servers with any sort of population. Would be cool if there are actual faction-level operations to fight over such objectives.
A fix for helicopter LZ in GZW could be the helicopter to pop smoke (gamify it) or you can fast rope into the jungle.
It is genuinely nice to see you two still making content together

They should have the little bird spot enemies near the LZ perhaps 100-300 meters out, and have the little bird clear them out before landing. Also let us shoot and move around in the little bird.

Yeah so what they can do is like ARMA has it, allow shooting from helicopter, maybe even have helicopter upgrades with minigun mounts and flares. Additionally allow people to QUICK vote to abandon the LZ and stop the landing procedure, AND LASTLY make the landing procedure more quick insert and fast player control, lots of fixes which shouldn't be too hard to implement.

I think an lz could be a great mechanic. If you gain upgrades to the heli like smokes and quick rappelling. This is just my hypothetical solution. Many end-game players will also surely find clearing LZs in the process of being ganked/camped as great content in its own.
if you don't have a 4000 series card just use FSR frame gen
give helicopters guns and problem is fixed. it becomes something to fear instead of prey upon or at least gives the team landing some time to get to cover
Frost punk2 sounds like they got some ideas from King of the castle where you have to make laws and clan can vote on them and if they get too upset then they can revolt and take over haha

They need to have a C-130 spectre that patrols the LZ's so they can't be camped. If your team stays in the LZ or tries to camp the LZ for more than 2 minutes it will rain down holy hell onto the LZ before other teams arrive via helicopter or have a apache or attack helo that go with you and allow people to shoot from helos obviously.

Careful what you say about distinguishing between friend and foe. Realistically you don’t know… that’s good if you’re going the sim route. Through proper planning and communication you should know exactly where your team members are. Everyone else is enemy and roe dictates what you do. I would hate if this went arcade with purple guns and user radar.

Man its so ridiculous that some people believe nature could produce anything that is healing to the human body just by its own and not a brand new synthesized chemical made with petroleum! So naive. Nah bruh, imma take my quaxycotalythenanine and get some sleep. Peace.
I forget that Matimio was a freak athlete at one point and is probably now experiencing the consequences.
I really want Gray Zone to be good, its exactly something I want but I have concerns. The AI looks terrible and has to be very much improved. The quests look quite uninspired. And the LZ camping has to be addressed or that will be a huge problem. Like I guarantee I will not play the game and I bet many others wont.
Grey Zone Warfare will just become like the hated Division Dark Zone...and everyone will just make PvE only games...
Well why can't one person go ahead and clear the lz you want to drop at? Because they can and that's realistic..
Matt if it relieves your concerns, they have said that you will be able to shoot from a helo and also not be immune in a helo, while also trying to make it so you can land (mostly) anywhere on the map
really hope they delay homeworld and rewrite everything
greyzone is sounding like just another extraction shooter this ones gimmick is its graphics and world but no consideration for actually good game mechanics or even an attempt to resolve the known issues of the genre the game is inserting itself into
