- The items today have been seen before and shown in various journals, but for the sake of continuity, and stepping out each scrap buster item, I’m showing them again. Snippet roll belly bands and fold down writing space are today’s scrap busters. Thank you for watching and happy creating.
You make me happy cause i can understand all the things you show you have to have good kids in your class
Thank you
I'm a very lucky teacher as this class is full of amazing young scholars. I've been blessed to teach and get to know so many fabulous people :)
I hope you will continue with this series for awhile. I love it. So many good ideas for the crafter who gets crafters block. Thank you.
There are going to be 17 episodes of ideas, so a few more. Then I'll do an episode or two on putting all the bits into a book/journal.
What an awesome way to to utilize left over bits and pieces of paper and fabric! I love those big rolls you have just sitting around waiting to be used.
I might have done a happy dance the first time I heard about snippet rolls. They are, indeed, happy things!
Lovely Idea thanks for sharing with us! 🌷
loving these reminders, great scrap busters!
Thank you Carol. It's always good to have extra bits on hand :)
Perhaps you don't realize how much you do for us, the paper lovers without much imagination. Thank you SO MUCH. I love your videos short ones and long ones!!! You make extremely beautiful things. I wish my English can express my feelings about you and your channel. Greetings from Mendoza, Argentina. Take care and stay well. Thank you!
It warms my heart to hear that you’re gaining ideas and information that help you enjoy this wonderful hobby 💕 Thank you 😊

I’m really enjoying your videos Cori! Thank you for sharing all your secrets and all the tips and tricks that you have found along the way! 🏷🗂
Thanks for all of the Abundance of information Cori! I've never seen the removing print from book pages. A different look! Tyfs!
I know others have done or do that, but I found it quite by happy accident and though I don't do it often, I love the subtle background it creates.
Binge Watching ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️ XOXO
😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍 I want your lace snippet roll, so gorgeous.
Thank you 😊
Thank you, Cori. I really enjoy each and every video that you post because you share so much valuable and useful information and tremendous ideas! I am appreciative of that and do not expect a written reply to my comments because you have a life away from UA-cam land, too! You do well to achieve what you do, now. 😀💞
Love that paper snippet paper roll
Thank you :)
Enjoy your videos
I just love this series. I’m new at journaling and these have been so very helpful. Thank you 😊
Welcome and I'm happy to hear you're finding it helpful. Have fun and enjoy the addiction :)
@@CoriDahmen Addiction is right!!! I’ve already “collected” more stuff then I know where to put it! Lol.
Stunning fabric snippet roll! 👏👏👏🌸🌸🌸
I learn new things every day in this series, even though I have seen your other videos. Thank you for your patient and clear step-thru processes.
You’re very welcome 😊
I enjoy your videos so much! Thank you 🌹
Love your videos!
Thank you!
Thank you Cori !! Going to try the text transfer technique for sure. Love the look!
It can be frustrating to get it how you want it, but I figure the practice is on scraps anyway, so no loss if it doesn't work correctly. Older, thinner paper with smooth, thick cardstock has been my key. Have fun!
Another wonderful video.
Hi Cori! I'm a fairly new subbie here. I am really enjoying your videos, and plan to peruse your older content as well. I have yet to make any type of snippet roll, but look forward to doing so soon. Thanks for all you share! Lil hugs xo
Welcome and thank you! I don't make a snippet roll on camera, but there are some really good videos out there in YT land. Have fun!
so glad you went over these again. thanks :)
I can’t wait for the weekend!! 😘
Enjoying this so much!! Started my day “coffee with Cori!” Thank you!🥰😘
☕️ is ❤️
Thank you for sharing!
Your doing great and I’m loving this series! Better than some things on Netflix! Haha
🤣
Oooh Cori! I love that paper text transfer technique! Gotta try it!
Have fun with it Nancy! If it doesn't cooperate at first, remember that they're just scraps and it's all good fun :)
Love your inspirations TFS 💜🥰
Glad you showed that sticking book page on as I tried it but it didn’t really work. I will have to experiment
It is definitely one that has to be played with.
I haven't made snippet rolls yet but it's inevitable lol. Love how you combine things to make them something entirely different. The media mat is very handy! I saw a similar technique for the rip away text by Andrea from arty maze, it's very effective. I think addressing the questions on video is way more efficient, you could be there all day answering individual ones! Thank you for sharing 💖
My pleasure and, when reasonable, my hope is to answer at the ends of each video. It’s like I teach my kids.... ask, if you have a question. It’s likely someone else has it too, and may not feel comfortable asking 😊
From what I can see you are a brilliant teacher! X
Cori, please could you put your list in shot for a wee while so I can take a screenshot? You’ve been giving us so many wonderful ideas, I’m losing track! I want to try everything!
I will, and I’ll put a list in the description box on the last day 💕
@@CoriDahmen Thank you!👍🏽
Love this, need to go looking for doilies 😉 I can't believe someone commented on your hands being big, I have watched a lot of your videos and NEVER noticed your hands 🙄🤪
I was reading the comments and questions and I laughed out loud. My husband just looked at me when I read it to him. His comment: "well, they're right. You do have big hands". True enough :)
thanks again for your series. I am learning soo much. may I ask a question too please: I see, that you sew tabs on top of the page to hold the fold down writing space. do you usually do your sewing before you bind the signatures? (most of the time I dont know what I will put on my pages before they are in the book)
That really depends on the journal and it’s purpose. These idea/reference books, no. I don’t see before I assemble because I don’t know what each page will contain. But when I make a journal as a gift I try to “begin with the end in mind”. I usually plan out each page before I add the signatures so I know which pages would be best pre-sewn.
I was wondering about the small clips you use to clamp your glued pieces? And thank you for your informative videos. I'm quite new to this art form and appreciate all the instructions.
Hello! I answered on episode 13, but they are sewing clips or quilting clips and I got a 100 piece tin from Amazon for $9(ish). Super handy little things.
Yes thank you. I watched the episode last night and was pleased that you answered so quickly. I appreciate it.
Tfs
I like the look of the peel away book page but neither of my card stocks are cooperating. What brand and weight of card stock are you using when you do this?
I use the Neenah Solar Crest (pure white? Ultra white?) for this process. It is a sturdier, more tightly woven cardstock and I have better luck when I use it. But really, I find it comes down to timing. If I pull up the book page too soon, I pull off all the print. If I leave it down too long, the book page stays behind. It's just a bit fiddly and I have to play around a bit each time.
Oh, oh oh 😮 is there a tutorial for that flowery/Lacey snippet?
Yes, well, at least I think so. That was a while ago. I *think* all the scrapbuster makes are in the videos, so I'm hoping you can find the directions. If not, please let me know!
I am curious about the skeleton like daisy die cut you use. What brand is it?
Hi Laurel! I think the one you're asking about is from Simon Says Stamps. It's one of their exclusive dies. There is a daisy and a fresh water daisy, and I love them both.
Why don't you place an elastic band on little glue bottle so the closure won't get in the way
That’s a good idea 😀 simple really .
Excellent idea. I guess I’ve been worried that it would keep me from putting the top on when I’m done. I’ll give it a try!
I’ve been told that I have baby monkey hands and feet! Lol
LOL!!! Thank you for making me laugh :)
