Thank you so much for all the tips, for sharing how to make the circle flower, and for showing the adorable little journal with bits of happy mail! You always amaze me!!!
Cori I just love your ideas and journals you inspire me so much. I had a creative dry spell and you snapped me out of it with your ideas book. I made one and finished it. Love it thank you never let anyone steal your sparkle, that is why we tune in. You keep being you and you do not talk too much you talk enough.
Thank you Connie and congratulations to you! Creative dry spells are no fun, but I think they happen to everyone. I’m pleased you were able to end yours and that you created something that makes you happy 😊
You are so dang clever! I’d love to spend a day looking through your creative journals and pick your brain! Your mini journal is so cute and I love the way you have personalized it! Thanks for sharing all of the great tips and creative ideas!
I ADORE your little book of gifted happy mail material at the end. Too cute and the use of scraps for the cover was genius and beautiful! But what I might love even more was the teeny tiny little concertino (?) project you showed afterwards. Although miniature in form, it's still functional. LOVE!!
Thank you for sharing tips on how to make for circle using thin paper, how to make leaves using a circle punch and using glue to make a needle point. It’s going to be very helpful for me!♥️
I could be wrong, but I don’t think the digitals are Tracie Fox. (The ones you can’t remember where they came from.) I would love to know who created them if you figure it out. They are beautiful and looks like they will go with all our stuff.
@@CoriDahmen Hi Cori, just a question about the book structure. Will you be showing us how to put the pages into the book? I am have missed that information. If so I am sorry. I am having fun watching all the things.

Apart from the fact that it is a fantastic idea to turn bits from your recent happy mail into a tiny journal, it just makes me so happy to see you have actually worked with the bits I have sent. The resulting mini book is more than adorable. Love it so much. And thanks for taking the time to explain everything and even shouting out all the happy mail senders! So lovely of you, Cori!
Well, thank YOU for your kindness, thoughtfulness and generosity. Receiving treasures from folks is more deeply appreciated than you can imagine and I smile the entire time I use the different pieces. Those little books are quite addictive. I believe I will make more 😊
Hi Cori, thank you for sharing your thoughts and extremely artistic inspirational videos. Again, I’m sincerely grateful to have found you. Hi Cori! 😊 Thank you for the amazing tips and tricks, I learned a lot from this little video. Your little memory journal is really sweet. I am such a sucker for things made tiny... and that lace closure is sensational! ❤🦋❤ The leaf 🍃 trick alone is fantastic!
Lol I also meant to say I hate the tiny cap on my little bottles lol didn't realise the needle caps fit them 🤦. Great use for all the circles I cut from scraps! So many useful tips! I'm going to need a book for those 😄. My mother's family is Scottish, we didn't migrate much further down over the border. Oh it's pronounced gay-lic 😁😁. Your glue needle has really helped me thread my sewing machine! Tfs 💖
LOL! Glad the tips are coming in handy. I'm learning a lot about the Celtic differences. I guess I just need to head across the pond and experience the wonders myself :)
I have watched both part 1 and 2 and enjoyed every minute. I really want to start making a journal but right now it seems very overwhelming. But also very fascinating. Maybe I’ll jump in soon.
I've been the same way. I've had a mental block when it came to sewing in signatures. But I saw and idea for an accordion journal made from one sheet of 12 x 12 paper by Natasha at Treasure Books. I was ready for you to grab leaf dies, but then you went and showed us how to make leaves with the circle punch and my mind was blown. What a fantastic idea and so much easier than trying to find appropriate sized leaf dies for each flower! Have you tried using the Scotch Quick Dry Adhesive? I'm not sure if they changed the formula because it appears to be called Quick Dry Tacky Glue now and the tip is white instead of red. It's my absolute favorite glue when I found it about 15 years ago and I hoarded from Michaels. I was in a long dry creative/crafting spell and believe it not, the glue is still perfect after like 5-10 years (even the one in my previously opened bottle!). I googled and it looks like you can still get the one in the red cap from Ace Office Machines (4 oz and cheap!) or Staples (2 oz but more expensive). I'm pretty sure it's the same glue I purchased, just re-marketed.
Thank you Christina. I’m always happy to share what works for me. May not work well for others, but if I can save someone some time or energy or frustration, it’s worth it 😊
Such brilliant hints and tip you come up with in every video. I'm in love with the little journal you have made with all your happy mail and the round flowers, I will definitely have a go at making them. We pronounce Gaelic in two different ways i.e. "do you speak the gal-ic?" or "I speak gay-lic", this is how we would say it here in Scotland.

First off, you didn't talk too much on the last one....was enjoying and didn't notice the length! :). And from the first part....I hate the little dangly cap bit on the fine tip glue bottles too...glad I am not the only one that they drive mental! :D Second...trivia for you...the motto of Scotland in English (you had it printed in Scots) is "No one provokes me with impugnity", hence the don't meddle with me rough translation you would guess looking at your version. In Gaidhlig, it is "Cha togar m'fhearg gun dioladh" (have that one tattooed down my arm, so come with my own warning label, I guess...lol!). Most used in Latin, though, which is "Nemo me impune lacessit", which has been adopted and used by England and many special forces military units in modern times. Way more than you needed to know about that, but I am a bit passionate about Scottish history and language....sorry! :P

I love this tiny journal, and it makes me wonder …will all those tiny journaling spots be used? I mean, do people really write in these journals? I just made my 13 year old granddaughter a junk journal (my first) based on Stamperia’s Lady Vagabond. I included lots of tags and cards and utilized many of your flips, flaps and folds. I’ll her that she can write whatever she wants, even make up stories, maybe pretend Lady Vagabond herself is the writer. Will be interesting to see what she does with it.

Wow again! Where do you find the time to do all this: create little sweet journals, make videos and prepare everything? I am retired and couldn't do it. Do you sleep? Eat? Etc? Only joking. Love the little book you are keeping for your self.
LOL! I teach from home (so no more commute!) and I get up really early. Housework standards have slipped a bit (or a lot), but I do love to play with paper. Isn’t that book cute? I may have to make more for the shop 😊
I made that. I have a video that shows how I made them, if you're handy with power tools, and I sell them in my Etsy shop. I've got more ready to list, I just need to add them to my shop.
@@CoriDahmen Cori - do you know when you'll have these in your Etsy store? Have you covered the binding? I know 12 x 12 pages were referenced. Love the series, was worth waiting for. I think I have watched each episode at least twice, I admit I 2X the speed so maybe I missed it.
My next video will be inserting the “signatures” (I use that term loosely here) and then I’ll show how you can leave the stitches open or cover/close the binding.
Could you please give me the name of the Etsy shop (I’m assuming ) where you purchased the bird images? I love everything you’re making! I’m trying to get organized and brave enough to make a journal. That is my next big goal!
Good for you! The first one is the toughest, just because of the new factor. I’ve purchased bird images from Tracie Fox at Love Junk Journals and from Tina at Shabbydabbydodah. I’m sure the birds came from one of those two spots.
@@jenjenscreations5724 you and my husband are birthday twins. I have a few pieces of the newsprint dated Nov. 7. If you send me your address I’ll happily send you a section. Yes, but it doesn’t work nearly as well as tracing paper. Vellum is a tight weave and it doesn’t absorb the color as well as tracing paper (which has a looser weave) and once it is dyed it’s much harder to flatten out. It works, but, in my experience, not as well.
I made the book covers and the spine part like you did in part one and I think this is supposed to be book cover part 2 so what happened? LOL I think you were squirreling again LOL.
Sure. I’ve used that trick for years, and though it often irks, it doesn’t always. But, I will show how I do it on the next video (inserting the pages).
Love the 1/2" Strip idea.

Hello Tim Holtz has Mini Brads Love your Journals
Thank you and welcome! He does have great tiny brads and though they are larger than the super-minis I use here, they are an excellent option.
Where did you get the wooden tray that you have your distress ink, dauber, glue and etc. holder.
I made that. I have a video that shows how I made them, if you're handy with power tools, and I sell them in my Etsy shop. I've got more ready to list, I just need to add them to my shop.
@@CoriDahmen Cori - do you know when you'll have these in your Etsy store? I'm handy with power tools but don't have space to have that kind of "craft" going as well as my paper crafting and quilting (LOL). I'm searching for that video but can't seem to find it. Your videos inspire me so much. Thank you for them. I look forward to all of them and rewatch them when I need a "jump start"! XO
@@CoriDahmen thank you for your quick response. Btw, my birthday is Nov 7th!!
@@jenjenscreations5724 you and my husband are birthday twins. I have a few pieces of the newsprint dated Nov. 7. If you send me your address I’ll happily send you a section. My email is cdscrappin@aol or you can send me a FB message (I just use Cori Dahmen for that) or you can send me an Etsy message 💕
Can you coffee dye vellum paper?
Yes, but it doesn’t work nearly as well as tracing paper. Vellum is a tight weave and it doesn’t absorb the color as well as tracing paper (which has a looser weave) and once it is dyed it’s much harder to flatten out. It works, but, in my experience, not as well.
@@CoriDahmen good to know. Thank you, cori
What size is the little bitty journal? I’m sorry if you said I missed it.
This journal is 6 1/2" x 6 1/2", the small one is 3" x 4" and the eensy teensy one is 1 1/2" 2".
I’m lost! I’m making the idea book and have watched making the cover parts 1&2, but now where do I find how to make the signatures? Or pages?
Hi Linda. I’ll share that video this evening. I get to play with my granddaughter for a bit. Well, after she wakes up from her nap ❤️
I made the book covers and the spine part like you did in part one and I think this is supposed to be book cover part 2 so what happened? LOL I think you were squirreling again LOL.
Me? Squirrel? LOL! It happens! But all the pieces/videos are listed for making this cover. I think :)
Where can I get the Ink Box?
Hi Lorena. I've had issues with Etsy recently, but if you email me at cdscrappin@aol.com I can work with you to make a box that fits your needs.
❤❤❤❤❤
I tried sharpening a punch with tin foil and made it worse. Was I doing it wrong? Can you give a demo? Please? 🙂
Sure. I’ve used that trick for years, and though it often irks, it doesn’t always. But, I will show how I do it on the next video (inserting the pages).
@@CoriDahmen Thank you!😊
