Cori i have to say “I sure do enjoy this series “ ❤️ you know....regardless of an artist level of experience in working with different fibers. Your tutorials are the bomb! You are a students dream! You have encouraged this old gal to reach back into some of her old ways. As well as inspired me in so many ways with your clever and beautiful approach to design, function and beauty ! Thank you so much for putting a spark of art into our lives. Happy crafting❤️
This is perfect for me. Some days I am overwhelmed with the amount of paper I have so I get out my silhouette machine and get all my mats papered up and just cut. Labels, tags, circles, squares, flowers etc. I rarely use them. Thanks to this video I am not so perplexed when I see the boxes of them just waiting to be used. You have made my day!!!!
Love all your vids. These are new for beginners like me so please keep sharing :) Your teaching style is straightforward with great information and techniques so I know my time is optimized.
Thank you Kathryn! In June I'll start the themed mini-a-month (favorite flower is the theme for May) and I'll share the Stamperia Forest that I've been wanting to work on. Not sure I'll do the one-a-day videos again, but I'll keep sharing ideas.
These simple ideas are really the best because they give us so many options for putting our own twist (or should I say fold?) in them. I am looking forward to seeing how you put them together in the journal. Thanks!
Hello Anke and welcome! I've heard your beautiful city has a wonderful Christmas Market and a fabulous bicycling culture. Those are two things near and dear to my heart!
@@CoriDahmen yes Cori, we love our town with the big port, the nice Elbphilamonie and also to drive with the bicycle to the nature. Liebe Grüße Anke clev
I've never made an elliptical pocket before! Love them. I love my quilting clips but the marks have thwarted me a couple of times. Thank you for sharing 💖
Tip: I put a tiny scrap of of waxed paper between the clip teeth and the paper being held together. The waxed paper keeps it from sticking and it absorbs the teeth marks.
Thank you, Cori, for including those pieces that you think are so simple because we don’t always consider those possibilities. You have now added to our stash a way of creating without many or very few tools. Valuable information! 😀💞
TYFT.... I forget about my punches hidden down in my old Holly Hobby lunch basket. Out of sight, ya know? Adore how your ideas are amassing such a portfolio of amazing work!!!it will take me a year of life as a Sunday Artist to duplicate a installation piece like this!!!
@@bettybutler1686 it’s not exactly the same, but I saw a video a while back on how to make one very close using a circle punch. I’ll share it on the next video 😊

More great ideas. I love those little shaped pockets. I have a question today. You used a little tiny butterfly. Is that just fussy cut from a printed paper? I use a lot of butterflies, but struggle to find them on the right scale
I bought those tiny little ones from Kerry at WhichCraftDoYouDo.com Tim Holtz has some itty bitties in his tiny ephemera pack, but they have the grayish edge (I cut those off) and you get a few. Kerry has bold, vibrant colors and cuts them with her laser cutter.

I have enjoyed the scrap buster videos. Thank you for taking the time to put together the collection of ideas.
Love the shaped pockets Cori! So stinkin' cute!
Working on my scrap buster, soooo fun. Love tiny, sometimes it’s a pain but adorable. Have trouble throwing away scraps, love you use it all. 🥰🥰🥰
That little circle pocket is absolutely yummy - it like a little medal you can award to your journal for being such a good companion😁

Thank you Anita, and welcome. Making the first journal or two can be intimidating, but it gets easier the more you practice. I promise!
Honestly, the crescent 🌙 moon shape from before you trimmed it into a straight half would have looked cool as a pocket.
That certainly could be kind cool!
