Thank you so much Cori, I really really enjoyed watching you create these awesome page’s. Everything you’ve shown us, is really really stunning and gorgeous too, and I really really love ❤️ the different types of tucks, little page tabs and the paper flowers are stunning too. Everything is Stunning. Please stay safe and well too xxx Mags
WOW Cori, what a fabulous tutorial, your journal is super awesome. This is the first video I have watched, but believe me, it won't be the last. See you tomorrow for the continuation. Looking forward to it. Blessings and hugs from Cape Town South Africa. Diana Fox
I would just like to say thank you so much for this tutorial. I have learned a lot following along and making the pages for my own scrap buster journal.
Cori, you have been so generous. I have know idea how to articulate it how much I got out of your artistry. You are a beautiful artist. I will watch all your work. Thank you.
I love how descriptive you are when you are showing how you made your lovely creations. I especially like that most of the writing spots are removable so you can write on a flat surface.
This popped up today for me and I love it. I recently saw Gayle's video on her pocket, but it clicked better from you. I'm going to go back and watch this whole series I think I will be learning even more from you! Thank you for sharing!
Cori, I love all the sewing you do throughout this journal. I know sewing is sewing, but a demo of your techniques would be appreciated... your tiny stitches add so much beauty to everything! These pages are awesome! TFS!
I just recently found you, and am SO glad I did. You have given me a million ideas for my own journals (never mind that I have tons of scraps that I need to use)! THANK YOU !
Hi Cori, you are so talented, please don’t apologize so much, I am a newbie and your series of videos have been so inspirational and detailed. Thank you so much for these videos and Happy Half Birthday !
I just love this and you make it look so easy! I finally order some vintage bees wax embossing powder, can't wait to try it out. Thank you for doing these videos!
@@CoriDahmen I ordered a large so will probably have it for my lifetime. I have tried other embossing powers but just don’t get the effect you get 🤔. I went to the site the other day and low and behold they had it finally. I was so excited I ordered a large 🤦♀️
Super pages today Cori, thank you for all your hard work and inspiration. The microphone made a great differance. Looking forward to seeing it all done. :)
Cori, this is absolutely beautiful!! Thank you so very much for sharing ❤ Your tutorials are great and so easy to follow!! I love, love, love this & am using some ideas on my recent journal, so I Thank you for the inspiration ❤🥰❤
The microphone helped tremendously!! I am hard of hearing & sometimes had to put the phone up to my ear, then i couldn’t see the video. Thank you. I hear you well with the volume at normal not turned all the way up.
My comments are out of order but I’m so happy I was able to play this morning. I’m actually about to start on page 32. My book only has 32 pages, the extra pages you show I will add to my other Idea Journals. 😘
Can you show us sometime your actual sewing machine and technique? I've never seen such even tiny stiches. My sewing machine seems to hate working with paper. I get uneven stitches and the bumps on the back are so off-putting, I've basically given up. Does anyone else have these issues? Again...just blown away by how gorgeous this book is! Your eye for detail is amazing!!
I had that issue initially, even though I have a good machine (thank you to my momma for her cast offs!) I had to play with the tension to find what worked best for paper. On my machine it's a dial-type knob with numbers on it, but I've seen other styles on different machines. 4-6 is fairly standard for fabric (cotton, etc), but I dial mine down to a two for paper, and a 1 1/2 for vellum or tracing paper. That has eliminated the too loose stitches and the bumps on the back. I would highly encourage you to get a piece of cardstock and sew a thinner piece to the front, using different tension numbers for each column, to see which works best for you. A new needle helps too, at least initially. I tend to leave my needles on too long before replacing them :)
@@CoriDahmen Wow; thanks so much for such detailed help; so going down the dial helps. I tried this a few months ago, but it's Murphy's Law that whenever I'm actually sewing something I like it goes wonky.
Beautiful! I enjoyed your Tutorial on a how you did o these book. I am looking forward to create one on my own to learn your creatively. I love your work. You are the one is becoming favorite- just subscribed less than 2 weeks ago. Of, so many to catch up your other videos!! Lol
I just love your pages today! I have two questions today: how do you bend the paper clip? Can you show us? Also where do you find the braille paper for the least amount of money? I appreciate you talent so much Cori! I can't wait to try these projects! Tyfs!
So enjoying your videos, been trying to keep along with you making a scrap journal. I am slow going. My question is what kind of paper do you start with to get great scraps.
Thank you Janice and gosh. I use copy paper that has been coffee dyed, piano roll, Tim Holtz paper and kraft cardstock most often. Book page, sheet music and ledger paper are also favorites. I rarely use digitals, but those are fabulous too. But, I do tend to make thick pages and projects.
I can’t wait to start making my own but am waiting right to the end to get started. Loving this series. I’ve looked on Tracey’s Etsy but I cannot find the floral cards you have used here. Do you know what kit they are from? Thank you x
I am a newbie with a question. Where do you buy those small glue bottles with needle dispenser. I like the way you can control a scant line of glue with that type of glue applicator. Also what size is the glue dispenser? Are they easy enough to refill?
Hi Linda! I get those little bottles from Amazon, though a good quality craft store should carry them as well. I think Darice is the manufacturer, though I'm sure there are other brands as well. I've not tried the Barely There glue, but find that Art Glitter Glue is just a bit thick and clogs in that fine tip easily. I've had good luck using Reptile glue in it and I just hold the tip of the bottle up and about an inch away from the top of the little bottle when filling it, allowing the glue to drip inside. The filling goes pretty quickly.
