- In this episode, we pick up where we left off on our first cruising trip to the Gulf Islands in British Columbia, Canada in cool and wet March weather. We encounter a series of unfortunate events from losing an Iphone and Drone, getting a rope caught in our prop and get pulled over by the RCMP.

When trying to catch your drone at sea, switch your controller to sport mode just before trying to catch it. That will over-ride virtually all your safety sensors and you can catch it by hand. Obviously, do that from underneath. Once you have it, simple flip it upside down and the props will stop.
Thanks. Did that for a bit and was still having issues where it would move while grabbing so now put black electrical tape over the sensors for full atti mode. Eventually going to make an actual handle I can grab. I am a bleeder but that’s another episode . lol.

I sailed away in 2015 never to return, not because I didn’t love it there as I did love it but sailing around the world seemed move adventurous.

Thank Scott. The plan is to follow suit. A few more years to restructure life and qualify for early pension and we are out of here. We may start out on our boat but hope to upgrade to a cat. How do you find the Lagoon 400 after a number of years on it?
Thanks for the video. There are so many anchorages still to explore. Montague would be great early in the year when it should be relatively easy to get a mooring ball or dock space compared to the height of summer when it is more busy. I believe running the diesel at low rpm for long periods can lead to carbon build up. They tend to like to be worked.

Old truck driver here.. Diesels like to work . Get em good and hot and as long as you aren't lugging them,(no black smoke) they will be happy. @@Sailingbc
Yes i have found 2200rpm is a sweetspot on speed and fuel economy. 2800rpm is my Yanmar max cruising according to manual. The engine only had 50 hours on it when we bought it and was 9 years old. Not even broken in yet...
