Is there a trick to getting my 440 to talk to my stec 55x autopilot to fly the LPV approach? It isn’t adjusting vertically while on the approach on autopilot. Help?
Was it truly a plug-and-play swap with the 430?? I have a PA28 with a dual G5 setup like yours and a TruTrak AP, and I’m curious if it would still be an easy swap like yours...? 🤔
As long as you have RG-400 cable they are a plug and play option. You'll also need to replace the antenna with a WAAS antenna. Took about an hour to install and configure. Thanks for the comment and watching!
@@theav8rs45 I already have a 430WAAS, but I just also had the TruTrak and G5s installed, and I had read in some forums that the TruTrak didn't play well with the Avidyne. If the price was a little closer to the 650, it would be an awesome deal with the 430W rebate...
Yeah. I put two in the Cessna for the same price as one 650. And honestly, I like the avidyne better. Not sure about the trutack, but I can tell you that avidyne support was awesome!

how much does a LCD screen damaged by sun cost to repair for Garmin 430?
I'm not sure. They used to have a bench charge of $1K. I assume you have to pay that and then whatever the screen costs.
Garmin does not support the Non-W GNS430 for hardware repairs any more.
