How can you guys afford these insane prices and installation costs to upgrade to these glass cockpit and avionics? Good morning 😃 There’s multiple answers to your question. First, I like to learn! But to learn I have to become the listener. When I ask someone a question then the last thing I want to do is also answer based on my own understanding or lack there of. Example; you ask “how can you guys AFFORD” then assume it’s unaffordable based on your own personal opinion. Affordability, is subjective and variable based on personal experience. I can now best answer you by telling you that I learn and listen a lot. I try my best not to form ideals or self crippling assumptions. Next, I always have goals! If I want something done I plan and execute. Next, debt is also subjective, I don’t want debt so I personally have none! Next, money is worthless! So learn to play life like Monopoly. But first, get out of debt! The quickest way to lose in Monopoly is owing and not owning. Most importantly for me is be wise and just and always of good cheer 😀 Life is all about having to live with the choices you make so make every choice work on your progress. Before you know it, people will be asking you this same exact question 😀
@@FlyingDirtyThank you-that’s a very thoughtful answer. I was merely venting and my question was more rhetorical in nature. Of course I am speaking from my own perspective, finances, and experiences. I don't have either the Avidyne or Garmin GPS systems. But, I am considering upgrading to one. I recently priced a GTN 750xi for just under $23K installed. A 650xi for about $16K. The Avidyne IFD550 is about $20K BEFORE installation! So, if you have a 430 or 530, upgrading to Avidyne is much cheaper because you can just slide it in.
