I do better than usual with guns that fit my playstyle and preferences, doesn't mean those guns are OP. "I did well with it, therefore it's OP" is not a good metric for balance. its ttk is the same as many other guns out there and it has much worse damage drop off than those guns but has a faster reload. that isn't OP. people cry OP about everything these days, it's getting really tiresome

If I'm winning gunfights that I never usually win to the point that I'm doubling or better my average kills consistently means it just might be OP. I'm not dropping 40 with the groza and they are for the same general style of play
@@WillfromBrooklyn one guy's anecdote is not a valid balancing strategy. have you used the groza at all? it's identical damage and fire rate. is that OP? what about AK5C? also identical damage and 600 instead of 650 fire rate but with double the velocity and no sharp damage fall off. is that OP? have you used the FAL? it's got better damage so it keeps its (exact same as UMP) fast TTK even against armored targets.
Yeh it's definately a bit op. Switched off the fal for the ump because it couldn't compete. was loosing against the ump in like 7/10 encounters. I'm sorry but a 45acp shouldn't out compete 7.62x51. Ump has movement, firerate and recoil advantage already. The recoil already makes it decent, but out competing most rifles for DMG just makes absolutely no sense. Maybe if they wanted to implement different amour penetration for different rounds, it could make sense as a high body DMG low armour DMG gun. But because that isn't a feature it's basically just a rifle with SMG movement and recoil. Sure the DMG falloff is pretty bad, but seeing as 99.99% of combat is within 50m so it isn't a big problem. The fal has range advantage, but you can barely control recoil past 100m unless single tapping so, the range component is kind of useless.
Ooo I like the idea of low caliber rounds doing little damage to armor! That sounds like it would reduce movement dominance and of course benefit me as a support only player.
Two new weapon JUST Got added in the game. The G3 Feels so good. idk about actual ingame stats but the feeling is fun af im waiting for your vid on the g3 :3
I think if ARs got less falloff and slightly better velocity over all it would fix things without just messing with the SMGs. Even if ARs overlap very little with DMRs at short ranges, wouldn't be as terrible as SMG overlapping ARS
I never used this before the buff and I’ve been looking at some for the numbers and this thing is nuts. It’s like a better groza with faster reload and a little worse range but the recoil is so good.

At the time I grab a humvee with a gun and build a bunker around it and role play a machine gun nest.

I'd imagine that what the player's mean is that it overlaps too much with AR ranges

Just shredded 2 60 kill games with the UMP. Reduce the recoil with the right attachments and it melts mf's.

I don't understand why they buffed the dmg of the ump when they nerfed the AK74's damage from 33 - 31.
it was fine at 28 damage and the old UMP is really good.. i was reaching 500 kills before the buff
The increase dmg made to dmg drop off not as bad for UMP. Mp5 though 😢.
