I just came back to this game after years. Currently doing a 'hard mode' playthrough and I am blown away by how fun it is! Super challenging but (mostly) fair and rewarding! Pro strat I've discovered: when you unlock the jump pad you can get massive distance by dive-rolling into it! Game fun.
I just started playing Crackdown 3 within 8 hours of non stop playing i leveled up too fast and now the enemies are way too easy even after playing on the Max difficulty. Crackdown 1 was more challenging and leveling up actually took work vs Crackdown 3. Besides that crack down 3 was really fun
The missions are repetitive, and the story isn't anything new, but god dang I have so much fun running around, blowing stuff up, chasing the evil Terra Nova out of the city. It isn't an amazing game, but at least a solid 7/10. It deserves more respect.

If this had come out this way when it was originally supposed to then ok. Waiting as long as we did and getting Infamous Second Son so much sooner ( I think they were originally supposed to release near each other ) and having that be so much better in my opinion really made this game feel like too little too late.
Bought this and it’s not that different from 1. Some features missing, but it feels like crackdown. The world didn’t seem empty to me and I enjoy the dynamic random shootouts between the militia and criminals
Been having a blast with this Crackdown 3! Picked it up a week or so ago going through the backlog while on a break from Apex. Wanted something mindless and fun. And it is that. Love the nostalgia of the green orbs. Feels like C1. The voice lines crack me up. Terry’s (and while I have most of the other agents unlocked, I haven’t tried them yet. Bc why?) and the Agency director’s are so good. Feels a little dated and it gets a little repetitive at times but still mindless fun. Thanks for the video. Funny to start playing and then come across this posted only two weeks ago when it came out like 5 years ago.
I’m glad mate! Aiming to upload more content like this while I work on the next trophy hunt. Haven’t really done much like this in the past so definitely something I can improve on though!
The first hour isn’t that great and will likely turn most people off, but if you can get past that you actually find yourself having some sort of enjoyment, whether you realise or not
@@WatsonKHD First half was fine wdym? Ig you could argue it’s slow because you don’t have all your powers yet but that’s the point, to slowly build yourself back up from nothing.

Was really nice to just have gameplay with commentary. You got a good voice and i like having you on in the background. I would like more of this sytle of videos!
It lacked some of the finer things in Crackdown 2, such as the difference in melee when moving versus when still, weapon projectiles having life to them and general interaction with the environment. But, I had fun with 3 for what it was worth.

That’s the issue with it I think for me, I can see that at its core, it has potential to be something quite fun. Crackdown 2 for me, will always be my favourite of the three though
I'm often going back to this just for it's fun combat. It's actually a decent time and can be tailored with in various ways to make it very adaptable to the perfect challenge. Definitely not a bad game if you're after a pick up and have me some fun type gameplay and it's gets better I find the more familiar you are to it's slightly layered combat design. Go in expecting a six at best and if you're truly invested to the combat then it can make it's way up to an easy 8/10 for the time you're playing experiencing the combat even if the game itself realistically is only a 6 or maybe 7/10 overall I would say. I always rated Crackdown1 as the best 8/10 game you can play and while CD3 doesn't overall get it all right in that same way, it's not a terrible game. The only thing it doesn't have is the same effortlessly lived in soul that Crackdown1 managed in all of it's maps and the lived in feel isn't really as vibrantly felt here at all which hurts in comparison. If however you come at it differently, then it's good on it's own merits. Combat though more than anything is where shines the most and is arguably better and certainly a little more layered than the first two games Also of note is that even if the story doesn't appeal, the writing itself is very good likely thanks to having joseph Staten on board at the end. Good voice work as well
I have played through this 3 times...it's a complete game..easy to level up..great mix enemies..various weapons..various obstacles to complete and great co op
As someone who never even followed the 3rd game I avoided the let down. I loved the first one and this def is a nice modern fix for sure. Sick of everyone spitting on it. It’s fun if you’re not expecting a perfect game
Just finished the game for a second time on legendary, I got gold on every single race and have done everything, I just need to get the rest of the orbs, max all skills, and do the misc achievements along with keys to the city mode

the thing about crackdown 3 is that people ONLY focused on it's shitty story, and everyone just forgot about the game itself i came back to it recently as well, and i've got to say, the game is actually really fun when you give it a chance, ESPECIALLY the whole new thruster mechanic replacing rocket boots
Bought this for $ 8 sealed on e bay and learned that crackdown 1 and crackdown 2 are free for good for xbox one and xbox series this day for less thsn the price of a mc combo i owned a legendsry xbox trilogy
I guess it wasn't horrible but the gameplay had no replay value. The story finished and there was nothing for you to do suddenly because the multiplayer never came through to do the rest of the side quests with friends.
Its an Xbox exclusive. Wasn't a massive fan on it on release but it's actually quite enjoyable! Just something I played while I took a bit of a break from editing the new video but glad I revisited it
Honestly dunno how u like this game I just recently reinstalled it so I could replay it since I hadn’t played it since it dropped in 2019 and I think this game was such a let down, the movement mechanics r trash, the guns rnt really good besides maybe a couple guns that r really good, and the story is almost nonexistent. Still a good video tho
@@WatsonKHD fr I kinda compare rage 2 and this game to each other story wise cuz all u do is go and complete side missions to be able to fight the boss for that area. Gameplay is still really janky half the time u have to jump to shoot at enemies if they r on a higher floor then u, and the co op is still really bad between the frame dropage to the co op gameplay just is very bottom tier. But it’s a game if u wanna play for a bit to blow time it’s not bad but still
I was leveling Strength and I found a item duplicator that lets you summon a item that you are holding if you use the item duplicator on it so I scanned a boombox and went around bopping hard while I bopped dudes with the power of sick beats! What's not to love?

Wouldn't mind some long form achievement hunting in a series like this tbf with live commentary, a chill series

Crackdown 3 deserves a proper next gen remaster.
POWERRRR!
Edit: More videos like this even alongside achievement hunting would be PEAK.
Glad you enjoyed mate! That’s the plan, just a little something while I’m working on the script/editing of Trophy/Achievement hunting

Seems like a fun game to play when bored, excluding the fact it's still 30 bucks on PC 5 years later... 😅
It’s crazy they’re still charging that much for this game in all honesty. It is free on gamepass though if you have it!
Free in gamepass
Also I do not remember the Quist boss to be voiced by Reinhardt ☠️
Definitely want to see more of this and an achievement hunt would be amazing
Crackdown 3 is Nor a bad game it is a great game with amazing graphics and huge and beautiful map and insane explosions and weapons
7/10.
Just beat it. 2 is my favorite but this one is better.

the weapons in this game are absolute garbage. the homing rocket from C1 would have made this game 1000x better. the game itself is fine.
A homing rocket is in this game! Not sure if it’s the same from C1, but it’s called “homing rocket”.
Oblivion
@@waffletube5707 the C1 homing rocket had a 5 round magazine, and it is OBJECTIVELY INFERIOR to the hothead!

I think it's an OK game now....problem is for every game like this made it takes like 3-4 years to fix. What a waste of a potential
