I have a BMW Z4 2004 and I try to use NCS. but when, I use NCS program the system show me some error messages .
I saw in this video that you have two cables.
My questions is:
Which is the purpose for the second cable?
If you not use the second cable, the system do not work properly?

For anyone (like me) who doesn't speak/read German use NCS Dummy along side NCS Expert, it has English translations which make it far easier to understand and use.

Hello, I'm trying to code my EKP however when I load NCS and try to load the profile the only two option comes up are default profile and NCS Dummy profile, what am I doing wrong?
I do not have the ExpertMode profile, only the Expertenmodus (OFFEN) and (Werkseinstellung). Can I use one of those? Where can I get the ExpertMode profile? Thank you! :)

I am from Australia and I have an Australian BMW E92 M3 2008 model with old Australian CCC iDrive and would like to swap it with a new Australian CIC iDrive system.
Would you be able to code it to my car's VIN# so all features including navigation, MDrive, BMW Services/Internet, Office, bluetooth audio streaming...etc. are unlocked and working fine?

Hi, I've instaled inpa and ncs expert on a virtual machine and with inpa I can read the data of the car but with ncs expert it doesen't 'reconise the OBD.What should I do?

Did you install the BMW coding tool and run the Datens by making update on the NCS by choosing the SP data source etc?

New battery has not to be codet with NCS.
What have you customized on your Z4? So far, I have only done remote top down and up. Anything you recommend or like?

Hey 83metoo, Is it possible you got your cables mixed up? I though D-Can is after 02/2007 and K-Can cable is for any vehicle prior 03/2007. Am I right or I am the one who is confused :)

HI @83metoo is there a place i can find aux coding guide for 2004 e87 1 series, my battery went flat and the aux option has disappeared from radio screen
aadedot I don't have a guide, but know what you have to do. You need to re-activate the aux in, that's all. :)
I'm pretty new at this coding thing. i just want to re-activate the aux in my car without having to pay crazy amount of money to get it done

Hi 83metoo, I have just coded my E60 ACOUSTIC to ACTIV, it was coded properly. However, when I restarted the car and went to MENU to activate the acoustic notification, there was no option to do that. only VISUAL NOTIFICATION. What did I do wrond? Please help. Thank you.
Jason Tubalado Sounds like the coding is not really accepted by the car. Try it twice.

I have to ask you about coding E60 with .ssd file, can you please help me? I have an E60 retrofitted CIC and Combox, before i get my car on dealer and they updated the software my connecteddrive was working but after update it disapeared and i get BMW Services instead of connecteddrive, my bluetooth and music streaming is working, but have to code some VO's in my car but i have to do it with .ssd file should i read .ssd file with E90 and write it with E90? I have readed some article on forums but i can't figured out?

Kenny Tran You can, but it is only the coding not a hardware change ;) But if you change your transmission you have to change this coding for make it works.

Why not edit profile first? ...next, type in password (any works! just scramble typing like so: dwsduwgdhg!) and then follow other steps rather than having to go back and forwards time and again!
By the way I'd suggest to have a parallel dummy version as this way you can back up the TRC files in the work folder prior to execute.

Light modul can be, it depends on your BMW series, FRM, NFRM, ALSZ, LSZ etc. :)

Dude... wtf.... i'm so f*cked... this is crazy complex for me. Jesus how discouraging. I just wanna fix all these yellow modules on my 645 and i just replaced the headlight modules... and the module comes up as red in ista. This is gonna be so complicated. ---I don't even understand the purpose of coding this stuff anyway... for example.. the modules fried on my adaptive headlights. I replaced the modules. They work now. But every time I start the car I'm getting the error code for the adaptive lights. This sucks man.

after you read a module or ECU you should always make a copy of the FSW_PSW.TRC file before you change anything and save that to somewhere else so you have the original data just in case.

I would expect German quality. what we get instead is a KID that has no idea how to keep the camera. The tool was obviosuly built by people that are CLUELESS on building software. The software is obviously built by people that are CLUELESS on software and build cars as unreliable as BMWs. The meddling with txt files and reopening files is nothing but a hell of hack of poor software construction. When I realize they must build those cars like they build software I know why TESLA will ALWAYS eat their lunch. All of their lunches. BMW engineering is terriblly outdated...see how your android or ios work...and compare to the software that BMW uses that is all like it got stuck in 1989.
