yeah me too great time for music
: (
Of course they do. You just think your era was better. As did your parents. And their parents etc etc. Ps. I was in the crowd on the pitch at Wembley Stadium for Live Aid. Some of the music of the era was great. Some of it was bloody awful. Bay shitty rollers anyone?
It is timeless. One of the most memorable from my life as a teenager in the 80's.
No kidding!!!!
For me this song WAS live aid. And just how cool was Benjamin Orr ? What a guy, RIP Ben x
@racey1979 I know exactly what you are saying!👍….But the song I identify with live aid is the band Simple Minds & the song - Don’t You Forget About Me ( simply because upon arrival to the stadium🚘🏟️ this was the song I could hear outside the JFK venue and by the time I got to my seat the song was just wrapping up!…(Fantastic memories and I absolutely remember The Cars set🎸
❤🥹
I was all of 15 years old for Live Aid…im soooo glad I was able to witness the magic of the 80’s…..Rest in peace Benjamin Orr and Ric Ocasek….definitely one of my fav ballads!!!!
This song is just so great. Bens voice is the perfect voice for this song.
He looked so healthy and happy. What a loss with him and Ric, they sure helped my youth and even now happier.....
The ultimate front man. Will never be another Benjamin Orr or the Cars.
I held my 7 year old daughter close to me an slow danced with her in my front room to this song an my life flashed before my eyes in seconds i was in tears...i love you Littles
When music had real voice and REAL talent.
No truer words ever spoken!
...says every generation about their own music.
@@wtulin1970 Look man, when people from even the latest generations are looking back and saying the same thing about the 80s, you know there’s a problem with music of the modern day.
Lil Wayne better this is Lame
@@wtulin1970 um today's generation are saying the same thing. Your music sucks, and you are probably the only person in your group of friends who doesn't want to admit it.
We already know that you agree, but for some reason you don't want to admit it.
Ben looked like he was in heaven singing this song to the crowd. Beautiful to see!
Everything I’ve seen of him , reveals a beautiful, humble , talented man . He sings this beautifully. Rest in peace Angel .
YES!! I’m here and it’s September 10 2024& just celebrated Benjamin’s Heavenly Birthday. RIP Beautiful Benjamin. Never forgotten and FOREVER LOVED ❤️❤️🍾🍾🥂🥂🥂🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹❤️❤️
Wow! That is my birthday too! I didn’t know!
This era in time was magical and will never be duplicated again unfortunately-
For those of us who saw/ heard live Aid in 1985 , this was one of the performances that was etched in our memories along with Freddie Mercury's .
One of my all time faves. Can’t believe this was 36 years ago. Thank you and RIP Ben and Ric.
Eu daria tudo pra voltar no tempo
You know, I've heard this song a thousand times if I've heard it once, but yesterday I was driving home and the song came over the radio, I turned it up a little, and for reasons I can't explain it was like I heard it for the first time, it just took on a whole new feel for me, maybe it don't mean much, but thanks
Definitely.
This song grows, with time, independent of us...
I am so glad to grown up in the 70s & 80s. The greatest era for being young. 🎸💥🇺🇸✨
Benjamin Orr had one of the most beautiful voices ever.
And faces...
@@jillmappin3316 y pensar que no era el vocalista!
Ben and Bradley Delp best ever
And faces
Freddies overbite pmsl. Quality name.
Everyone comments that life was much better in the 80’s. Simpler times. No cell phones, no internet and great music. I totally agree, but..in defense of the internet and modern technology, it has enabled us to relive the music videos and concerts of the past and introduce the younger generations to this great music. One of the awesome things technology has brought to us..
Moi je chante comme Benjamin orr ✌️🇩🇿
this song just reminds me of a talent we lost, and I miss him
Well-put.
Everyone always thinks the time they grew up in was the best time and advancing modernity is worse. A tale as old as time, perennial.
Momenti irripetibili. Fantastici. Unici. La vera cornice. Era la musica. Ancora oggi ascolto anni 80 , ho 58 anni. Mi mancano quegli anni. Forever
Benjamin Orr died of pancreatic cancer in 2000. Gone but never forgotten, I listen to his music driving across Bolivian Andean landscape.
..Respectfull!
.....HE will be and still present!..
Wait what He had Cancer😭 he too young 😭
We like it in the Rocky Mountains of Canada too.
He was so beautiful, life is cruel
I watched live aid in not such a big tv screen in morley leeds yorkshire.i was 22 years old and I remember thinking Benjamin from The Cars.is just great.
One of the most beautiful songs & singers in the history of songs & singers❤
I was born the same year as Ben Orr and have followed the Cars from their begining.Ben was humble and always loyal to his friends and early beginings back to Ohio later in his life, he said this performance was the one he cherished and remembered as his best..His talent was immense, but his humility was even greater. He gave to us a great legacy of fine music. db
He was my uncle. Always a lot of fun to be around. I miss him.
Awesome
Tnx ! all of us miss him !@@tbrininger6174
So smooth & so very very sublime; he knows what he's doing & he's loving it; best form of music❤❤❤
