I got it when it was on sale, because it is indeed cool and I was taken by the UI. But one thing I definitely miss is the basic ability to control the length of each loop independently. All 4 samples start and stop together, and that's a huge missed opportunity. If each of the 4 loops could have its own duration, then we could use Portatron to design loops that are out of phase with each other and create very long, ever-changing patterns, Brian Eno-style. There's so much more potential to this plugin, if only the makers would think beyond the cassette deck they're modelling.
Great to see a new vid. This looks wild and has some of the experimental noises I messed with in the early 80s. Also, it's been too long for me to catch one of your live streams. Will need to plan early morning wake up call.
I did see this on the reason plugin rack page once, as robotic bean does make some crazy rack stuff. Very interesting tape emulation...but it ain't cheap either
OK I think this can be replicated in The Grid at least to a great percentage. The plugin is very expensive for what it does. Thanks for the video it gives me some ideas and I will try to make a replication in the grid
I will add the pushbutton click sound when triggering the tape when I was messing with 'tape rhythm' wwwwway back in history; the click of the buttons forms part of the beat. 😂
this is actually a pretty good way to replicate some of the aspects of working with tape without the cost or inconvenience. pretty neat
yeah I love all in one plugins

I would love to see a lot of cool improvements on this plugin!
Looks a lot of fun may need try this :)

I haven't been streaming lately, scheduling is a disaster, but I hope to sort things out soon
@@AlexReidStudios its ok. Real Life (tm) gets in the way of our passions all the time.
Its a blast
You introduced me to it
@@AlexReidStudios I did

Yeah it's pricey, but I remember they did a crazy sale some time ago

yes you can, having the sampler inside the grid is really powerful.
Damn!, Now I have a weekend project. : -)

this is more of a mellotron than a portastudio.
didn't think about that, but you're sorta right
@@AlexReidStudios i would love to have this as hardware anyway :)
It’s a similar idea, except it uses 4 sources instead of 35 =]. Furthermore, there are more manipulation options here.
