I could not agree more. The gizmo added items GPS etc are more of a safety hazard then a necessity. And on a motorcycle 😳.

Good job Brandon on your video of this new Polaris Indian Scout. I can appreciate the way you showed us around the bike and did not constantly try "sell" it with personal comentary. The term classic is somewhat of a stretch but they had differentiate between models somehow. I do see a number of shortcomings on this model but your video does suggest taking an honest hands on look.
Definitely some shortcomings, but there's a flavor in there for multiple taste. Very customizable platform.
When I first heard that they were completely redesigning the scout line, I was upset because I haven't even managed to save up enough money for the current version. I'm glad to see that the two into one has finally become standard, and the improvements overall are what I like to see. I am still a big fan of analog gauges and wish that they had added a gas gauge to the analog cluster. I'm disappointed that the new classic edition doesn't have a 60 version. It has always been my opinion that the more electronics you have, the more can go wrong. When the apocalypse happens, all of the motorcycles with electronics will eventually be useless.
There is a fuel gauge on the analog one as well.
@DV-cm3tb Thank you for the information. From all the videos I've seen, the analog guage looked like the same one as before.
Have a video coming on Sunday to show the analog more. Very close to the previous one with added features. The new 60 hasn't been announced yet, but one is in the works.

what was tha tmetallic sound at the ending when you were applying some power to it ? it's the first indian i hear having that metal sound , like the muffle wasn't totally attached or something
Throttle body. They all do it including my Chief. Why, I’m not sure the reasoning.
@@BrandonBicasso oh really?! It's been weeks I'm browsing trough your channel and others videos I had never noticed it, at first I though it was a loose screw or something. Looking to buy my first Indian, hopefully the same color and model as this one. Quick question, is it a noise you get used to (don't hear it anymore) or nope?

It’s an odd noise that usually occurs when you blip the throttle. Indians don’t like it and there was an interesting issue with it when Challenger first released. It caused some weird throttle by wire engine codes. I don’t notice it on mine so I guess I’ve gotten used to it. Functionally, there’s no problem with it. It’s a lot more noticeable on stock exhaust bikes because the note is restricted more. When it clips, it’s like the throttle body fully shuts for a split second maybe. I’m not entirely sure but nothing is wrong!
@@BrandonBicasso I see, so a custom exhaust like I wanted (I'm a sckr for the typical cruiser "fat" potato sound) should do the trick then, that's great news

This one interest me the most as I am a full fender fan. Only thing I do not like is spoke wheels as hard to keep clean and should one pick up a nail in the tire you can not plug it to get home. I would put on floorboards, the Indian Bags, and Inidian windshield (probably 2k extra) and would be good to go. Not sure why no inverted forks on these, my gosh Polaris Victory had inverted forks year ago as standard. However, all in all, it seems like a terrific and surely reliable cruiser bike with gobs of power and light weight to toss around to boot. Thanks Mr. Bicasso. Look forward to the riding reviews.

They need to make a replica of the 1930 Indian Scout 101. Updated brakes, electronic and an updated look alike motor. I don't ride anymore, but if they made one of these, I'd start riding again.
I like this with detailed views of important bits, but not much talking. Reminds me a lot of Unroof's channel and videography style. I like this one. It has fenders that won't throw road crud on my back.

They kept the beautiful lines of the bikes but have updated them nicely. Very good job Indian. I really like how the radiators are hidden within the steel frame. Just wish they put a larger tank on them. The tech is cool but I dont trust all the tech it seems to break when you can least afford it.
Bike gets 20 miles more with the new tank/engine efficiency so that's almost half a gallon.
The screen takes ages to start, is it something a firmware uptade can improve? Thx for the vid.
These were pre-production bikes and we were informed of the ride command having a delay. Yes, it should be fixed by now via software update.

The engine noise is weird. The exhaust sounds nice. Love the look.
How is the clutch pull has the pull been made lighter ??
Lighter. Almost too light haha. Slipper/Clutch Assist help with that.
The Classic is the model that grabs my attention with the full fenders and chrome. On the video the motor sound a bit clattery and the exhaust sounds asthmatic. Such a shame. I hate loud obnoxious exhausts, it is a pity that the bike manufacturers aren’t allowed to put a reasonable exhaust on their bikes. AMG seem to get away with it, so there must be a loophole somewhere?
I'm not sure on the loopholes. More room to play with on high performance cars, though. Fitting more in small spaces on bikes. It's a good question to ask, though.

Lol chill. They think it sounds decent and so do I. Not everyone wants a loud ear piercing exhaust. If you want that, go aftermarket.

Did you feel comfortable on it?
I`m also 5`10" and considering this bike for my next motorcycle. Now I own Kawasaki Vulcan 900 LT which is 15cm (6 inches) longer and 10cm (4 inches) wider. Kawasaki fits ideal for me. Tried Scout years ago (when they first came out) but felt little to small. I don`t know if they made some changes to Scout size throgh this years.
Very comfortable! The seat hugs you a lot more. That Bobber seat on my 2018 was not the move. I didn't think (at all), I'm gonna slide off this seat or it's uncomfortable. But of course, there are better options. I was okay with this seat last year on Scout Rogue too.
How did the seat feel? Do you think it's going to hold you on the bike comfortably at highway speeds?

I like it's design, and I'm a big fan of that information cluster.
That pinging or ringing when you blipped the throttle was kinda weird.

Yeah, it's almost like an exhaust pop or the throttle body clapping when it closes. A piece of character all Indian's share.

Well so far it's nothing but videos of it no one's never riding them I'm starting to get bored cuz I don't want to just look at it I want to see it ridden I want to know how it handles I want to know how it sounds going down the road I want to know all those things that we all wonder about do you think you'll ever ride one?
Hopefully this doesn't come off as rude, but you're not looking hard enough. Two videos below on it. Blockhead and I aren't allowed to post ride impressions due to embargo. We can on the 17th so no riding videos from me until then. Just how it works so I post what I can until that time comes.

@@BrandonBicasso no man you're good the truth is is I just watch your channel I don't watch those other channels and as far as the 6 Minute videos I watch them all at least three times I don't want to miss anything . And sometimes I watch them over and over and over just because I know it helps create you views.

Love the look but expected better sound. Not that I need a Harely sound but waas expecting a beefier sound.
Maybe it's me, but lots of valve train noise compared to earlier models. I understand not ideal recording conditions.
It’s gorgeous love everything about it except the price sadly that’s just not $17000 worth of bike😢 you can buy 2 Honda Shadows for that price and they look sooo similar

I would say stylistically this one is my least favorite of the new Scouts. I was never a fan of the chrome bits on the 1st gen Scouts. One of the reasons i bought my 60. I love all the tech on the Limited for sure.

That mega muffler needs to go, something shorter would look better imo.
