The Indian's are lighter motorcycles than the Harley's. I was surprised how light they felt compared to my Harley. But overall I do think the Harley's are more solid. I would like to see a comparison side by side with your Harley and the Indian Scout Rogue. 😀👍
@@johnnyboy1586 He is correct. Scout is a 100hp bike thanks to the more modern style water cooled engine. Indian Chief is more comparable to HD with its old school air cooled long stroke engine. Less hp but more torque down low.
We've been followers of your channel for years by this point - Awesome too see how the production improved and most of all with how much enthusiasm you talk about those bikes! Allready looking forward to the video about the custom!
I test rode this exact bike at Moore Speed Racing. It was amazing! The Jekyll & Hyde exhaust is totally badass. I ended up buying a Scout Bobber from MSR.
I think it would be a good idea to do a comparison video with your Harley to this bike. I really like the idea of the modifying the exhaust sound with the push of the button for loud when you want it and a bit more muted when you want. Keep up the great videos!
Really love the looks of Indian motorcycles, great video was looking forward to seeing this,as you was talking about it on your podcast, really enjoying these aswell, keep up the great work.👍🏻
Thanks for your enthusiastic review, Mr. Darcy. The one person I know that has a Scout loves it (she's a former HD Sportster owner & prefers the Indian).
Did a test ride on the Scout a couple of years ago. Decided it wasn't for me. Got me a new 2019 Harley Davidson Fatboy. Had higher bars (apehangers) installed and Vance and Hines slipons and a tune. Still extremely happy with it except for the high bars which make for awkward handling in tight corners. But the Scout Rogue looks nice as does this video.
I did a test ride on this exact bike last year and it was fantastic. I was looking for a big cruiser after getting my license. I was thinking about Harley, Kawasaki or this Indian. After a test ride I fell in love with it immediately. It's a really fun motorcycle to ride. I am getting one this year from the dealership, can't wait!
I have ridden my scout rogue for 24.000 kms after 1 year of ownership and overall I’d say I’m quite satisfied. Although the brakes are definitely quite shit and same goes for the shocks and the seat. First thing I changed was shocks and seat which cost me about 800 euros for both. As for the brakes… well you just have to be extra vigilant while making the engine roar as the braking distance will be very long in case of emergency braking….
Amazing difference in sound with the valves opened or closed. Looks cool too. Can't wait to see the yellow one as well. Great videos, brother. Eric in Kissimmee, Fl.
Great vide (no surprise here), from my experience since i have an Indian Scout from 2015 it is a very good bike, reliable and the feeling is how it is explained at the video. I do not have experience from Harleys so i would like to see a comparison !
Looks great. Sounds great. Lots of power and torque. I'd really like to ride one and see how they feel. I can definitely see the benefit of that exhaust system. I had a thunderous bobber before. I used to go to my brother's shop which was in an office complex area and my brother was worried that the other tenants would complain.
I thinm we can re innovate the exhaust systems better. Theyre headed the right way trying ti make jt so ut csn be buttoned down quiet or loud and able to breathe. Its still rather early in the development of these kinds of systems. Ford tries it on the mustang its an interesting idea because I hate stock quiet exhaust but sometimes upgrading to louder ones its too loud in the wrong situations and you paid for 2 sets neither doungnwuite what has to get done and it seems to me trying to combine them with valve systems is early still and its sort of a compromise as well in its own way but its promising to me. If im leaving for a 3 hohrntrip to thr big cits maybe its 4am i dont want to blast out my neighborhood cranking the bike up letting it slowly warm up. It sucks to have straight pipes theres babies leeping on the other side of windows across the street. But theres also a lot of desolate barren highway right down the road its very nice to be able to hit a button and get some sound back or not.
Your Winter looks like polish autumn 😉. Beautiful weather for motorcycling, you are lucky. I can't even go on a driving licence cat. A exam, because it is too cold and the exams start first of april 😉 Very good review by the way.
Looks a cool bike. You're right it has a grunty sound. The light weight for a cruiser can be seen as an advantage with handling and speed. Though the heavier weight of the Harleys means they would be more planted on eg. motorway riding.
Scouts come with the option between two engines. The one on the Rogue 60 there is a 999 cc engine pushing 78 hp and 88 nm torque @ 5800 rpm. The other option would be a 1133 cc engine pushing 100 hp and 97 nm torque @ 5900 rpm. Those are Indian specs for US motorcycles. UK bikes may be different.
I rode this one today, it had a vance and hines custom exhaust with a A hole button it up, and yes it's very light for a cruiser it felt awesome, I was blown away by it, I rode the FTR1200 before it, and I rather have the Rogue.
Nice! Been riding a Honda Shadow Aero 750 for 2 years and look to upgrade to a Scout for next bike. Such a sweet looking ride. Would like to see a comparison to your HD.
I rode a 2016 scout and it handled terrible with the stock Indian/Kenda tires, I switched to Metzlers and totally changed for the much better. My biggest problem was the up shifting missing shifts all the time. It was alright if I wasn't in a hurry to shift.

Looks very nice. Cool, and belt drive, but it needs a second front disc and longer mudguards (the front wheel will throw shyte allover the engine and back wheel will give you a skunk-like stripe of shyte up your back). A centre stand (which I presume it lacks?) would be good, too.
The brakes are actually quite horrible once you get used to riding aggressively on the bike, doing engine braking is far more reliable than using the actual brakes, which for me is its biggest downside. As far the mud, it’s part of the fun :D
Great review and lovely bike. I really like the styling of the rogue. I've got a scout bobber so I'm fairly biased. The sound of the j and h exhaust is great, I just couldn't afford the price tag so went for v and h instead, also a very nice sound. Can't wait to see that yellow custom as well. I'd definitely like to see a comparison with the Harley. As for the scout handling I do find it quite good in the turns, quickish to turn in given the type of bike but obviously the footpegs catch quite quickly given it's limited lean angle, but then it's not supposed to be a racer
This was, for me, your best review to date. The bike looks fantastic and your genuine excitement about it showed that it was indeed a superb motorbike! Perhaps you will get one of these over the Moto Guzzi V7? I honestly think this is a better looking ride than your Harley and you are correcto-o-mundo on the exhaust system, it does sound great and at least you won't be pissing off folks with loud pipes in the wee small hours of the morning. Great Review of the Indian Scout Rogue. If you are in the market, or if you just want good information about the motorcycle, it is not a waste of time to listen to what Mr. Darcy has to tell. A comparison with the Softail, would be great. Thank you for a good show!
As a Scout ownder who has done 7000kms I can tell you for a fact that brakes could be better in that price range. And these pipes are okayish, Crusher pipes or Vance & Hines pipes bring out the real V-Twin roar.
I've got Crushers on mine - earplugs are compulsory, I'm not sure if it's down to the sound on the video but these Jekyll & Hyde sound like a really loud ripping fart, not much chest thumping bass there.

Quite a nice motorbike, this. Not the biggest fan of Jekyll and Hyde exhausts though, for the reason that in my country more and more roads are closed for motorbikes on the weekends, exhausts like this and the Akrapovich Sports bikes pipes being the reason. I wouldn't care too much for horses but for the neighbours affected by this sound, but that might be a local issue after all. It for sure sounds amazing in the right area.

The Scout Rogue looks really good and that dark red paint is a lovely colour that really makes the bike look premium, as for the Jekyll & Hyde Exhaust it's a quality piece of engineering that not only looks good but also sounds good in both stealth and hooligan modes, interested to know how effective the fairing is at keeping the wind blast from buffeting your helmet?
How does it compare to the Nightster and Sportster S in your opinion? I guess it’s more a competition to this and not to the Milwaukee 8 bikes. I have a Sportster S with the Jekill & Hyde exhaust and it transformed the bike for me.
I’d have it over those bikes in a heart beat. I’ve not personally ridden the nightster yet but I have ridden the spotster s. The new sportsters have lost their soul, this bike has as much performance as you’d ever need from a cruiser and retains the character and soul!

I bought this bike as a replacement to my BMW R18. Man I love my Rogue. I had the Indian Cold air intake installed which adds another 5% power, bringing it to about 105HP (here in the USA). Next step will be suspension as they are really horrible and then exhaust.
Hey if you want you can get t120 as your new bike what's your thoughts on that bike . Take care 🙏 Edit: love you and your dad podcast 💗 your bond with your father is lovely to watch 👍 not many videos out their that show father and son relationship. 😊
This seems to be a good fit for you. American muscle for a young man while feeling light. Indian has come a long way in recent years and seem to be a tight kit. I like the rounded and vertical radiator! That will solve a lot of your mud on legs and header pipe problems. That license plate to the rear acts as a mudguard that should stop a large percentage of crap from destroying the clean bike and your clothes 😉.
This is for me the coolest looking bike around, but the fact that it only has 12,5 liters and no fuel gauge is a real setback for me. Also I don’t have the money to buy it 😂
I have a 2021 Rogue and every video I've seen convinces me I bought the right bike. I love mine.

The narrow tank seems low. If it was raised a little higher, in my opinion I think would look better for a taller rider
Indian bikes are my dream bike. Such a shame they're so expensive!
J&H are nice 👍
And I Like the Look of the Motor also.
I would like to see the comparison vid
One of the Most beautiful bikes ou there ❤
No doubt!
How much did it run you?? I want to swap my Freedom 2-1 for this, but it’s so expensive
dyno's usually have these at 82-84 at rear wheel hp
Yes all hp from manufacturers is usually at the crank
I bought this bike as a replacement to my BMW R18.
Man I love my Rogue. I had the Indian Cold air intake installed which adds another 5% power, bringing it to about 105HP (here in the USA).
Next step will be suspension as they are really horrible and then exhaust.
Sounds awesome buddy!
Check out Hagon Nitros suspension. Much better built than Performance Suspension, from my experience using both on a Triumph R3
Stunning-looking engine, like all Indians. I don't like feet-forward, though. Nick
I got a deal on one it will cost like 5k dollars brand new should I go for it ?
Sounds like a great deal 👍🏼
I don't know how this has flown under my radar, I've been dieing to see what you think of Indian.
It’s only just gone live that’s probably why haha! A few people had seen it already who are channel members
@@MrDarcy-OlMan sorry the person who posted befor me had 7 days ago beside their comment so I thought I was late to the party 😂 just a glitch I guess.
Or as you say the channel members.
Cool content.... beautiful bike
Thanks!
If a comparison would be great
Cool bike 🤘
SICK
This or the speedmaster?
Both very good bikes its really down to your personal preference of looks, style and sound 👍🏼👍🏼
Hey if you want you can get t120 as your new bike what's your thoughts on that bike . Take care 🙏
Edit: love you and your dad podcast 💗 your bond with your father is lovely to watch 👍 not many videos out their that show father and son relationship. 😊
Thank you so much! 😊
Is that old codger your dad.Well I never.😅
This seems to be a good fit for you.
I’m definitely impressed with what they’re doing! Lovely bikes. Definitely my kind of bike 👌🏻
That chunk of mud on the brake lever is killing me lol
Didn’t notice tbh haha
Its such an expensive bike but man it is something.
Tack!
Thank you very much appreciated 👍🏼
I like your jacket. Where can I buy one?

For ‘horses and neighbours’ read ‘police’ 😂
😂
Looks cool 😎👏
Sure does!
This is for me the coolest looking bike around, but the fact that it only has 12,5 liters and no fuel gauge is a real setback for me.
Also I don’t have the money to buy it 😂
