    Love the Procaliber 9.6. Been doing bikepacking tours with it for 2 years now. And it has to be good, because the last 2 years I got already two Procaliber 9.6 stolen and just bought my 3th one yesterdag! Top bike for top money.

    I have the previous model, in the 9.5 configuration. I'm definitely not a racer (100kg, 16stone) couple of comfort mods such as grips and saddle and it's great, the bike just wants to go fast, allows me to keep up with and sometimes even out ride my fitter friends, would fully recommend!

    this is a fantastic bike stock. accelerates well and looks great. I planned on keeping mine stock since I don't race but that didn't last long. carbon and XTR everything and now it accelerates like a road bike.

      Bought this 9.6 in May and I'm very happy. Could you let me know what upgrades you made? I'll probably prioritise the wheels and then the fork.

    Hi Thomas and Brandon, Thanks for the review. It's very helpful. Do you know what kind of kickstand I can install on this Procaliber 9.5 or 9.6 bike?

    • @GetOutArizona
      @GetOutArizona  2 місяці тому +1

      Thank you for watching, leaving us feedback, and asking your questions. All three are appreciated. I am sorry it took so long to get back to you.
      The Procaliber does not have a direct mounting point for a kickstand, so you will have to use one that clamps onto the bottom part of the rear triangle on the brake side. Your local bike shop should have a reasonable selection. Trek also makes one, and they install easily.

      @@GetOutArizona Apprecate your reply. I could not find any Trek clamp or kickstand. I would greatly appreciate it if you could share the link. Thanks again for yourtime.

      @@debdas16 Here is a link to one on Amazon, though there are several to choose from. Just type in clamp on kickstand.

      @@GetOutArizonaThanks a lot for your help. Really appreciate it. However, the Trek dealership guy tells me that any clamping on the carbon structure might cause frame damage. Is that true?

    • @GetOutArizona
      @GetOutArizona  2 місяці тому +1

      @@debdas16 Sure, if you over-tighten it. But that is the case with any carbon parts. At the end of the day, I would use some restraint when clamping it down.
      I'm just curious: Why do you want to put a kickstand on the Procaliber? It's something I have never seen before.

    I have exactly the same bike. By the way, do you know how much torque should be used on the seatclamp bolts?

    • @GetOutArizona
      @GetOutArizona  10 місяців тому

      Hey Ricardo, it is between 5-7 Nm. They make a sweet preloaded wrench that takes the mystery out of the process. Cheers

      @@GetOutArizona in fact, I just saw that the torque is engraved on the back of the seatpost. It's 10nm. Thank you anyway.

    How come there is not one offered with the new SRAM Transmission AXS groupset? Does this frame not have UDH?

    • @GetOutArizona
      @GetOutArizona  9 місяців тому

      When this series of the Procaliber was released, the Sram Transmission Group was not available yet. I am confident we will see it offered in the '24 Spring varients. Thank you for watching and asking your question, my friend.

    oh man oh man. What a beauty.
    i chose the trek Xcaliber 9 because i couldnt afford this exact bike! (or the 9.7)
    i did one change that i would do on this one too, but its mainly to fit my riding style.
    i changed the crankset gear for something a bit larger. 2 more teeth to be precise. i switch terrains very often in my region, meaning that 60% of it would be gravel/minor dirt and some tarmac. That crankset helps me to go faster and not feel like im at the limit of speed on smoother surfaces.

    why race only?

    • @GetOutArizona
      @GetOutArizona  10 місяців тому

      That is a great question, and thank you for asking. Personally, I ride every bike like I stole it and do not care what kind of "trail" it was made for. That being said, I would take this out and ride the same trails I do with my Fuel EX and not worry.
      That being said, some people believe that you should take an XC bike out to race, a DL bike on XC, or a race bike any other place than the track.I said, ride whatever you feel like whenever you feel like.
      Thanks again for watching.
