Hi, last April I assembly myself exactly same frame, with Deore XT 1-12 having carbon wheels with DT180 hubs, total weight including crank brothers pedals are 19,1 pounds (8,7 kgs). I am very happy 😃
Last year built up my pro caliber sl. Was around the 8kg mark. Awesome bike. Building up a new one this year not as light as the last one. But very inspired by your build.
Nice build! I had a 17 SL m/l and traded it for a same year Top Fuel, I moved from Rochester to Holly so Grubers is 2 miles away and tough for a H/T. Well I missed it so much I bought the same frame in a L, had it built XTR, XT rear cassette, the XTR cassette robots are trash and came loose. New design Kovee Pros, same seat post and bars, SID fork, XR2 2.2 tires. It’s right about 20.6 lbs. lights bike I’ve ever had. The XTR shifting is above sram IMO and I like you can down shift by pulling not pushing. I had the new style frame built before this one and didn’t like the way it handled, probably cause it was a m/l. I love this one! And BTW, just order a 23 Farley 9.6 and ordered Whiskey Flat Carbon bars, Bontrager Pro Carbon seat post, Stylo Carbon fat cranks and Bontrager Wampa wheelset! Making it a 9.8! 👊🏼 My favorite bike it my 21 Supercaliber 9.9, that’s a rocket!
Great vid! really like your bulds, everything is made of top components and aesthetic :D I've got procaliber 2019 9.7 upgraded to XT groupset, carbon SRAM X0 Crank and carbon bontrager pro habdlebar and stem on carbon kovee wheels and now after this biud i am thinging about upgrade to SRAM GX AXS :D HT are very versatile and fun
That's light considering it has a power meter, pedals and two bottle cages when you weighed it. I would say though, SID SL ultimate may have given you a lower weight and perhaps a slightly different choice in tires may see you drop below the 20lbs mark. Alternatively take the orange paint off the forks and polish it, it will look awesome and be lighter lol.
@@bicyclestation I’m just happy to see ya’ll using those bottom brackets. I’ve been using them since around 2016 due to all of the Cervelo’s coming into the shop with destroyed bottom brackets.
I bought one of the newer generation Procalibers, the 9.5 but upgraded from Deore to XTR, Bontrager Carbon wheels, Kogel Ceramic BB, Pro Tharsis, and Pirelli XCRC tires. Got it from 26 to 22 lbs. I think if you put lighter bottle cages on that, that’d get it under 20?!
I have the same frame as well, but I wonder about the headtube angle and how newer xc hardtail frames are coming out with a slacker angle. Did you have any second thoughts about buying an older model for this reason, or was it not an issue for you? If to you the head angle is not a concern, why is it not a concern? Asking because I easily give in to new trends and need a good reason to stick with my frame! 😃
So on the bleeding edge the slacker head angle is probably faster. I like slacker Xc bikes. But trek doesn’t make one that’s really lightweight enough. Honestly the supercaliber made hardtails kinda obsolete in their lineup. This model is modern enough and isn’t gonna hold anyone back.
Cracking build you done there really love it. I’m just about to buy a 9.6 myself & I have a size Delma? M/L or L. I noticed you seem to run M/L . What’s your height? Im in between sizes & wondering which way to go ? Lovin the Chanel 👌🏻
Must have watched this build so many times! Love it. Is the slam set headset just the IS41? The canecreek spec says stack is 4.6mm but yours looks a lot less!! Thanks!
Nice build man. I hope it lasts better than the 2 I had. Both cracked around the IsoSpeed joint 😩😩 It’s deffo an XC rocket !!! But now riding a Yeti ARC, built for Gnarr 🤣🤣 Hardtail 4 Life 💪🏻💪🏻
@@bicyclestation yeah. I love hard tail xc bikes with elegant looks and I'm not really a big fan of overkill full suspension frames. I love the concept of the Trek Probcaliber. A good looking hard tail xc bike with the benefits of a full sus trail bike. For me its the perfect bike everyone can buy
Ordered the "heavier" / newer Procaliber yesterday....why? cheaper and max for travel 120mm....having said that it will be build with an ENVE rigid [sus corrected] fork XO1 axs, DT SWISS M1200 wheels [from (sort of) my 2016 Procaliber which is now built/set-yp for bikepacking only] and other good bits. The fork may make up for all my "less than RSL" components.....sub 20lbs???
If I were looking for an XC bike that would forgive me for the occasional (small) ladder drop to flat or tail whip with a crossed up landing(oops)... would this bike be ok? I have impulsive riding habits but I only weigh 160 so I don't think I'm terribly destructive.
I have exact same frame in 17.5 currently running Custom carbon wheels, Rockshox Sid Ultimate SL fork, XX1 11 speed drivetrain with e13 9-46t cassette, Raceface Next SL crankset, full Carbon cockpit & Bike Yoke Revive 160mm dropper. Total weight with pedals 19.8lbs amazing bike!!! My only concern is that IsoSpeed tends to have some play & makes knocking noise when I rock the seatpost. Not noticeable when riding but bugs the heck out of me. Any way to fix that? I bought 2nd hand from so probably not covered by warranty…
Great video, I give a subscription :-) I have Procaliber 9.7 2020 (Matte Black) in black with white TREK inscriptions and stickers. I'd like to get the original stickers to improve the look of the bike. Please advise where it is possible to buy black original inscriptions. I also really like the combination of handlebars and stem. I measure 170 cm and the size of the frame is M. Would you advise me with the width of the handlebars? On TREKBikes I noticed that they only sell 750 and 820 mm. What did you choose for your building? Greetings from the Czech Republic 🙂
do you think you could make it sub 20 with carbon cages? the ones you used look heavy. otherwise, super clean build. wish the procaliper was still light

@@bicyclestation Hello, thank you very much for your answer, but I wanted you to help me about the Cane-Creek steering bearing kit… thanks again, greetings from Colombia 🇨🇴
Hey there, really love the build! I was just wondering which computer mount that is? Looks like the K-edge one for the Madone SLR bar? Apparently it's not compatible with the RSL MTB bar but certainly looks like it is in this video...!
Legit build. How are the Level Ultimate's? Every base Level model I've had was absolute garbage. I know that's not comparing apples to apples but the word "level" on Sram brakes always scares me. Maybe I need to give the ultimate's a try...also the matching pedal spindles and front axle is a nice touch.
Super nice bike could go under 20 with lighter tyres and would feel faster ie scarier to ha ha , do yourself a favour and get a little pipe cutter for doing the steerer way nicer and quicker than the shitty park mitre box , question how do you go replacing that bb ? 👍👍✌✌😁
So as long as you want to keep using the bbinfinite you just press new bearing into the shell. If you want to replace the whole thing then it requires a extraction tool they sell. We have one sense we install so many of their bbs.

Gorgeous bike. Top tip for using a hacksaw ( or any saw ) let the blade do the work … PLEASE!😮
Great build bro.
I think Procaliber frame tends to be heavy. I ride a Procaliber 9.6 and i'm very happy with it!
Its because of the iso speed, Ive enjoyed having it tho so I think its a net positive.

Nice build. 20lbs with pedals and cages is more than respectable. Love bbinfinite; perfect solution to manufacturer stupidity.
It could go lighter but then it wouldn't be as fun to ride. Same! we sell them to everyone
That was amazing.
Thanks!
Yeah those forks and the huge 29x2.4 tires are killing you. I built my Trek Supercaliber size M/L to 19.78 lbs.
Wowwwwww.. Great built!
