That's the interview I was hoping for. I skipped right to the reputation segment. Your ability to flesh out Brandon's past is commendable. And kudos to him for owning it. Respect.
Brandon- you are a genuine gentleman with a huge heart- and passion for sporting clays. You have my utmost respect sir. Great vid. All the best. Rob in MO
Me too. We shot most of the material at the North Central Regional. I held onto it because he's been shooting like a fierce monster all year. I had a feeling he's win nationals, and this was just the icing on the cake for this video. Glad you enjoyed it!
I’ve followed him since the early 2000’s. Brandon can shoot, but he is on another level now, ever since he’s returned, he’s been on top… Glad to see him shooting again…
Great video. Met Brandon for just a few minutes right after he blew his barrels at the US Open in Tucson this year. Solid and genuine guy. Wish him all the best!
Very good video about Brandon. It was awesome to hear from those he competes with. Very in depth questions you could tell at times Brandon may have not been totally comfortable answering but did honestly. He may not be everyone's favorite shooter but probably more because they didn't understand him as a person. He is definitely one of the best in the game and was happy to see him earn the championship this year.
I'm really glad you liked it, thanks for stopping by. We've spent a lot of personal time getting to know Brandon, partly because of our earlier Back Edge series. That trust and honesty is on the screen. None of the questions were staged, any editing was to remove um's so's and verbal mistakes, backroom breaks etc. Between all the talent we had 2hrs of content. What you saw was basically how it happened, on the day, just the good stuff.... just the important stuff. Please say hello if you see us at a shoot, stop and chat.
Great interview and video. He is a competitor - and a serious one at that. I really enjoyed learning more about it him, the industry, and the POSITIVE side of how people care about their fellow competitors.
In years gone by I was writing for a shotgun magazine. I got to know Brandon. I always found him approachable and enjoyable to talk with, far more so than the other shooters his age. It ain't bragging if you can back it up. Yeah, a couple things happened,, but I've been pulling for him over the years. Glad to see that he's having success.
All the top shooters should be glad Brandon is in the sport. He makes them all strive to be better. Bird had Magic and Magic had Bird. Tiger had Phil. Jack had Trevino. This is what makes what David Ferrity says about the greatest in every sport. They all have a little “jerk” in them. Being great isn’t for everyone and it ain’t easy. This was one tough interview. I applaud him for being straight forward. The interviewer was not throwing soft balls. Good for the sport!
If Gorge is the king of England then Brandon is the king of the USA. Great and honest interview. Shooting is lucky to have Brandon back to keep the rest of us on our toes.
Thanks! You da man! I saw you briefly at Nationals but.... as always.... had to rush to my next station. I hope things are good on your side, and you've got more of your great content in the bag!
Brandon is Babe Ruth, George Digweed and Donald Trump all rolled into one Champion state of mind.! Congratulations , welcome back and learn from any mistakes , we all make them !!!! Kudos, for the outstanding interview, peeling the onion back, question by question. Well done Mr. British.
I watched Brandon shoot the 5-Stand in the squad ahead of us at the North Central Regional and wondered what the negative buzz was about. He seemed to get along with everybody and he was a very good shot. Now I know. Thanks for clearing that up. The Back Edge is an outstanding series as well.
Great video. Enjoyed it immensely. Thanks for doing it and thanks for showing the side of Brandon I never knew. I have always heard about how great of a shot and what a competitor he is. He seems like a guy that goes out shoots well, has fun and pisses off people that may be cannot rise to the occasion like he can. The bottom line is the guy can shoot and he has demonstrated it over and over again under pressure situations. Cocky, arrogant, self confident is okay as long you back it up. I myself have no problem with it as long as you prove it in the most extreme pressure situations. I always will root for people like this. Again thanks for the video and look forward to many more.
Until watching this video I have never heard of Brandon but my hat goes off to such aman who can be under such scrutiny and still perform and I always thought American was the land of the free let him without sin cast the first stone hold your head up and carry on
Great video and good to hear from his fellow shooters past and present. You look at golf as a comparison, Jack Nicklaus Tiger Woods and the like. Many people in golf say they are cocky and arrogant. To me it ain’t cocky or arrogant if you perform. It is just how they express their emotions in the heat of competition. Everyone thought Ben Hogan was a jerk for talk to he playing partners in a tournament. In reality he was trying his best to win. As for as Brandon’s past, maybe now his shooting will speak for him and people will let the past go.
Hey Brandon , I know at some point you might watch this so let me say “ Congratulations “. Very well done interview and if I get a chance I’d love to take a lesson from you.
Very Nice Interview.this man Brandon has a big heart.I just started shotgun shooting in may this year and will like get some lessons from him.How can I contact him?
Thanks! I'm glad you're enjoying the content. I don't speak on behalf of Brandon, but, I know Cherokee Rose has booking details for him. via crclays.com/instruction/
Been watching that kid since he was 15yrs old with his 391 back then. Despite his ups and downs, I'm glad to see him grow and mature. People need to forgive and forget. Go Brandon. ( Maybe not in the sense that what Go Brandon means today. lol )
Great content. I’m not a great shot but are personalities are very similar. I to am an in your face king of guy. Age has mellowed me some and I’m sure Brandon has mellowed some too. I’d take a lesson from him if ever the opportunity presented itself. Brandon competes hard and has a great time doing it, well done. I hope to see a shoot off between King George and Brandon next year in Wisconsin
Dont know Brandon from Adam. Saw him for the first time on Back Edge and I imidiatly liked him. Love to meet him someday and shake his hand. Give'm hell Brandon.
One of the best shooting related interviews I've ever seen. Pointed questions, honest answers, much respect!
Thank you sir!
Congratulations to Brandon for winning the 2023 Nationals. He is a fierce competitor and I wish him all the best for his future endeavors. GOOD LUCK!
Robert, perfect comment, thanks for watching!

Great documentary, Brandon is an inspiration and a hero to many.
I've been rooting for Brandon since his return at the U.S. Open last year. Love to see him thriving after the difficulties in his past.

He's shooting like he's on fire, with no fear, like a demon with a purpose, to prove something, to win. It's massively impressive to watch.
Great video.

I’m new to this sport so I don’t know the history but is Brandon the John Daly of sporting clays?

You can't compare George digweed and Brandon Powell. He's a root. George is a flower
