- It's finally time to add more upgrades to our 2022 Grom SP. This video is number two in the “2022 Grom SP Series”. In this video I add a DHM Cam, ECU Flash, and Chimera intake. I also deal with the infamous harness extension issue that the chimera intake tends to have. (Helpful if the bike is throwing a check engine light after install.) Last I reset the ECU and TPS sensors and take it for a ride. Watch to see how much was gained after install!

Really cool seeing that you made a few changes and it now tops out at 75. sick! i bet the low end has a bit more torque
Nice ! I have a stock 22 minus a yoshi pipe and so far at a full tuck I’ve been able to hit 70 before letting off the throttle .

You don't need to reset if ECU was flashed for upgrades
great informative video. if i can have one constructive criticism the audio level difference between your voice and the music could use some work, had to keep adjusting my volume. but otherwise great video thank you!

Just got my man in the box intake today waiting for the DHM cam to come back in stock with the sprocket so I can order them and send my ecu in to get flashed for it
Hey Tyler sick vid.
Did you just wiggle around the wires in the IAT extension and then reset the ECM to clear your Check Engine?
I took them out and reinserted them in the extension. They just werent in there all the way when I got it.
I had the same problem, very frustrating. But once plugged in correctly…. It’s been flawless.

Looking good. I’m going with the MNMTHBX Mtake V3 to go with the dual Yosh I ordered. May have to do the cam ad well. How are you liking it?

You want the valves at .003? DHM says to do .005 for both valves with the paper sent home with the new cam?
Weird, just double checked and the paper that came with my DHM cam says .003

Woah, great tutorial. What's the key mod to get to 75MPH (or is it a little of all of em)? How to the wheels and suspension hold up at that speed?

Why would you need to short it out after you already flashed the ecu?
I would say to make sure no engine lights come on and if they did it would clear them. The “flash” is updating the map and Ive always heard and been told that reseting the entire thing is good to do when you install a newly flashed ecu. A lot of people say it isn’t necessary for everything to be re synced with the new map. So you dont have to do it and its probably not like manual procedure but I mainly do it just to give it a clean slate to start from after a mod.

Err i have exhaust and intake upgrades and dhm ecu flash. ive been running this for about a year and with about 70mph top speed. i actually did not reset the ecu when i got everything together. do you think i should reset the ecu?
They say it dosent matter but it wont hurt if you do. I just do it incase. If you are hitting 70mph it sounds like everything is working fine. If you are a bigger dude it will slow you down some. Not sure how much you weigh but if you start getting over 180 and closer to 200 you probably wont hit 75 with the same mods.
@@tylertaughtme ok ill give it a go as i think DHM is in Florida at like 0 elevation and im in Wisconsin with 1265 feet. im pretty small like 137lb and i have an universal windshield that does help with the speed. it also lets you mimic a full tuck with about a 45 degree tuck, which is more realistic for any ride.
like i was gonna stop with these mods as imo anything more would require way too much money for a couple of mphs and i was hoping Kawasaki would come out with their ZX4R this spring. but it looks like the ZX4R is coming late 2023 or a troll. i got pulled out on late last season and just got the bike back from inspection so I might use the whole repair thing to put another mod (mebe cam) into it to get lower 70s (like 73 max would be nice).
That’s a long turnaround for the re flash and they probably sent you someone else’s if it came back damaged and yours wasn’t
The long wait was Mnnthbx not dhm. And I am still waiting on Mnnthbx thats why I got the Chimera… Dhm turned it around in less than a week. I think it was damaged in shipping.
Sprocket changes in the future?
Wow how you know how to do that amazing whats next? Change some sprockets out get better top end
Pretty cool! Have you GPS'd it to see how far off the speedo is from the factory and how fast it said your top speed is compared to the speedo?
None of the upgrades in this video will affect the speedo. However if I changed sprockets that would changed the speedo reading but I do not plan on doing that.
