Finally someone who explained "why" the tips turn brown or yellow. not just saying over or under watering...also you are clear spoken, and get right to the root of problem!
i had a 4 ft tall tree and finally had the guts to propagate and its FINALLY growing new stems and roots... i was so nervous i killed my big baby. but i have 2 buds on the mother and new roots on the propogated babies! I am so happy!
Good Morning from UK. We are having a lovely sunny spell here and my plants are truly showing their appreciation. Thanks for the tip about removing damaged plant tips 👍👍👍👍
Thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you!!!! I'm so appreciative of your knowledge of all plants you have increased my knowledge on all my house plants thank you 😊like the way you explain everything 😊
Thank you very much. I received answers to my questions. Wonderful explanation. Subscribed immediately. Thank you for sharing your knowledge. Hello from Canada
Fantastic thanks I have had the yellow brown tips and definitely over watered, it was also transported in cold...quite frankly it's a miracle it's still alive. I have repotted, don't water till dry, placed out of a breeze and given it a trim. Happily it has begun to thrive once more 🙏,
Thank you so much I really really enjoyed watching you talk about Dracaena’s today. Always very very helpful and informative too. I’ve just brought a small one for only 75p 😮. Yes an absolute steal. Please stay safe and well too xxxx Mags ❤❤❤❤
Hey there, someone broke a branch off the dracaena (😩oh my goodness) And they left it outside for a few days. I put it in dirt real quick. Can you point me in the direction of a video that will help me start a branch. ( Should I start it in water first)? Also, it was out in the cold, and now it’s raining outside. (I think it has trauma). I had to bring it indoors 🤷🏼♀️ Thank you Thank you 👍🏻
I just bought a Dracaena Fragrans, but I have a Dracaena Lisa, Could you please talk more about a grow light in the house for houseplants?? Thats what I need to know about right now. Thank you... love you guys !!
I have my Dracaena fragrans for over 6 years and I love it! But it has brown and yellow tips but now I know to trim them, thanks! Hi from Arizona 🏜 USA.
.thankyou for your video on 5 quick tips for Dracena. Could you show me the results of pruning the top as I'm apprehensive about cutting mine. Also can you plant the piece you cut from the top?
I got one that iv had for almost 9 years, i have never pruned it and at times it has gone months with no water, then i give a shower and let it stand in whater for a day or to, and it has kept growing for me for all these years, (not the best looking plant) but at least alive it is super forgiving. But now when im more in to plant i plan to make it my croen jewl and master peace :D (Also Swedish btw) :P Tack för informativa videos =)
Wow awesome! My friend told me to put it in the shower to get it water and I did and the tips started browning so definitely makes sense on there being too much minerals etc
That's insane. Tip number 3. I feed mine poland spring bottled water. But the distilled water tip is very interesting. Thank you for this very well explained video. 👏
Thanks for the tips. My 'lucky bamboo' or dracena, stands sinds 2014 from the start in water and is growing ever since. I ll give my plants beter water from now on. Wonder if you boil the water will that do? My dracena had to be pruned but i am afraid to do so. It is growing for 7,5 years now and has been moved house twice and moved places in my House too, but i am in totall horror of cutting it. 🙄🙏
Hi!! Your video was VERY helpful. K just got a dracaena sunray from a plant store. Never ever had one before snd they are beautiful! My tips were turning yellow brown. I am now watering it from my Britta filtered water. I have a question. Some of the leaves at way way bottom at turning all yellow and just falling off. Do you know why? Thanks!!
Thank you for demonstrating how to trim the burnt tips! I will do this on my plant this evening and buy some pumice stone to help the drainage. You're very knowledgeable and good-looking! Thanks again!
I've had a draceana mariginata for a few months now and was really saddened by the fact it wouldn't stop showing those horrible tips Then you said I can trim them and my mind was blown Brilliant video thank you so much
Dracaena is my absolute favorite plant ... it flowering very very good every year. I hope you can talk about flowering later because it is not easy to archive 👍
I had one to bloom- It was beautiful and it bloomed around Christmas time and at night - The plant was about 10 years old and bloomed for two Christmas before finally leaving us ___ I have another one now and I am babying it but I do have some brown leaves and reason for looking at these programs...I have never used rain or distilled water; however I am now since I heard this could be problem...... I did let my Water sit a day prior to watering but heard that does no good ??!! I live in Georgia - 50 miles North of Atlanta -
Thank ya much had this plant mistaken as a yucca cane im straight!! Dont try what I did grow it in water!! Just to add it can be propagated. And also trained to grow new chutes...
Oh love this channel! I can not believe I did not come across it earlier - for a Swedish plant mom like me, I have been wanting guides like this. So easy and on point! 💛💙
Thanks for the information. I have a two meter tall Dracaena fragrans 'Lemon Lime' . The tallest branch is leaning quite a lot but since I reported the whole plant in a deeper and bigger pot. It's not leaning as much but I still want it to stand up straighter as the top is getting heavier and I like the look of the branches standing tall. I know it's probably a little late to straighten the curve unless I tie the tree to a wooden pole and stack it in the soil. I still want the tree to stand up more without leaning too much. Should I put a stick on the opposite side of the branch and tie it with soft gardening tape to hold the shape until the root system has fully developed in the new lot to help it straighten up? Thanks.
Finally someone who explained "why" the tips turn brown or yellow. not just saying over or under watering...also you are clear spoken, and get right to the root of problem!
so if the plants are dying from it……aren’t we, also? lol. Makes ya think
Right!

Instead of cutting, can I notch? Will it have new growth?
