I can’t sleep in a bonnet. It’s so uncomfortable. I do use a silk pillowcase. I know the bonnet is better for my hair but it’s not worth the bad sleep.
I can’t sleep with a bonnet either- I whip it off in the middle of the night… I can’t sleep with my hair pineappled either- it’s not long enough to stay up with all the tossing and turning. And forget the satin/ silk pillow case- I spend more time chasing the pillow case than I do sleeping!
@@penneyippen7550 maybe I have an advantage over you as I have a special neck support pillow to help posture/prevent back pain so the way my head sits on it must keep it in place well compared to you so I never slip off it and it stays put in place too.
@@DeepThought42 what type of pillow do you have? I have a very bad neck and can’t find the right pillow! The amount of money I have spent on pillows that don’t work could fund the defense fund of a small nation/state- okay slight exaggeration…but seriously it’s a lot of money!
@@penneyippen7550 I replied with a long comment to explain but when I went back to edit to say it the company has international shipping (I'm in Australia) and has a UK website too my reply there. Did you get an email notification with the comment in it? Let me know and I'll type it out again when I get a chance, if this reply doesn't disappear too. Rather annoying the way this sort of thing happens a lot, possibly more than we realise as I only notice when I go to reply to someone's reply to me but can't as it has disappeared.
Manes by Mel put her technical hairdresser hat on and explained how the cold water rinse thing is a bit of a fallacy in a video on her channel a while back.
I love the lighting change. I noticed something different, but I was guessing your camera over lighting. I'd love to see a video on your studio setup. Maybe you've done one on Instagram, but I tend to feel bombarded with content over there so I shy away from Instagram sometimes.
I just got my hair cut a few days ago. I am going to use the Bond Curl Rehab Salve right now before I wash my hair to make sure my curls don't act to wonky after the cut.
Curlfession/curl hack: I get so lazy with styling I'll just rock a braid out from one or two dutch braids. I also clarify every wash day as I was my hair every 7-10 days and do regular oil prepoo treatments
Helllooo frizzn'frillz!! I was wondering, you get your hair lightened often and I do as well! I am more a wavy than tight curls like yours, but could you possibly do a video about aftercare for us lightened wavies/curlies? I normally wait the 72hrs to wash, style, etc anything on my hair buuut I've seen some wavy/curly channels where they come home after the salon and immediately use a bonding treatment. I own the curlsmith bonding salve and should I immediately use it after the salon or wait (same with washes, stylers, deep conditioner, etc.) Id love to hear your feedback or see a video about it!! 🎀💖
My confession: I only trim my hair as needed. And sometimes that's only once or twice a year. But I search and destroy split ends all the time 😁 Bum length waves here! And yes, it looks healthy 🙂
I’ve always permed my hair to look like natural curls not 80’s perm lol although I’m an 80’s gal. I use your advice on my fake curls lol. Works really well. I go to salon for perms… never myself. I also get highlights… and now I’m starting to have gray streaks here and there… not full on in my part yet like all gray roots growing in yet.
How often should you use a bonding treatment? As far as wearing a silk bonnet....um....they never stay on my hair! My hair is sooo soft and silky, everything just slides off my head.. it's frustrating sometimes. What is the order of bonding treatment and deep conditioning? Use together (ie same wash day) or separately? Hope you understand my questions. Thanks.
I am wondering if your products, layering and finger curling routine worked the same before you had highlights? My hair is so incredibly thick, dense, wiry, coarse, and unruly. Do you think the highlights chill it out some?
My stylist says that hiring gray curly hair with color helps tame that “crazy naughty” gray hair, something about the gray hair is a coarser texture…so long answer short maybe?
I try every type of conditioner and hair masque/mask as a leave in and sometimes as a replacement for a curl cream...even ones not marketed for curly hair! Because for me, it's all about the ingredients and the results! I am thinking of it as a very long series of experiments...or I would get so overwhelmed and give up! Also, does anyone else here HATE hair gels?!🙀😹
Yes, I don't particularly like gels due to the way they make my fine hair look. Even strict curly girl method devotees don't say you should only use products made/marketed for curls so that rule came from a weird place! I use products made for all hair, except for a bit of curl cream - conditioner, leave in conditioner, mousse all for regular hair.
I want to launch one for y’all so bad! But not just any bonnet…I want it to be THE BEST BONNET! So it’s going to take some more time, but I swear it will happen! 💕
Can you create a silk “towel” that is large enough to wrap my head (towel size)? I just need something to wrap the head while I dry off my body. I immediately remove to apply my stylers to wet hair. 😊
I have noticed in every video that the length on the left side of your head is always shorter than the right. Wondering if your curls are tighter on that side than the right.
My curlfessions:
• use silicones/sulfates
• color/bleach twice a year
• use heat(diffuser)
• embrace my inconsistent wash days
really loved the non-judgment in this video! It's nice to hear everyone else dealing with the same struggles you do :)

Hi Chloe, could please do a curly routine update specifically showing how much product to add in order.

I only perm once a year… highlight lowlight twice a year… def not at time of perm. But all the curl products help with perm hair. Cause damage …

Me too!!! Tried a few bonnets and they fall off by morning.

Highlighting may stretch the curls out wver so slightly

I take my bonnet off in my sleep. 😬 The curlfriend collective scrunchy is a lifesaver! Pineapple and a silk pillowcase works for me.

Can you tell me what brand of contacts you wear? Thx
What is a good deep conditioner that won’t wear your hair down?
Thank you!!
How do you protect your curls at night?
I know you’re working on a pillow case but I would 100% buy a silk bonnet from you!

How do you prep your hair before get it colored????
Can't find in africa. Ethiopia. Please curl Smith think about it.

Haha it’s because of how I part it and my back is longer than the front! Even though it’s cut perfectly even 🤣
Is your code only for first curlsmith order? 👀
Sadly, yes! 😢
What’s “bonding”?
