Now that's a guitar solo that will make your face melt, and it was recorded 51 yrs ago.
70s Black Sabbath with Ozzy is a great rabbit hole to go down!
Their roots both in blues, and jazz. And in rock n roll. But then they made a unique Sabaath sound. And also heavy metal.
more Sabbath PLEASE!!! Into The Void, Hand of Doom, Fairies Wear Boots...
'Warning' is a cover by Black Sabbath, of a song released in 1967 by Aynsley Dunbar Retaliation.
The original is a great song.
By not stopping/commenting, you are setting a new, higher standard. (I hope all the videos get to stay up!) I don't care who it is reviewing, there is nothing that can be said during a song that would be as interesting or entertaining as the song being played. When people cut during a build-up, verse or solo, they say stupid shit that means nothing and kills the flow. Keep doing what you do.
You are so right.
if every reaction video is just a guy nodding their head you consider that a higher standard? this is one of those agree to disagree sichywichys
You’re a drummer?? Then Sabbath’s Symptom Of The Universe will BLOW YOUR MIND
Was about to recommend the same, that and the Writ from the same album.
Since you're a drummer black Sabbath the wizard
You beat me to it. Song 2 on the first album with Ozzy on harmonica! Love that song
@@jamestoddjackson9655 I wish he had played it on more songs, harmonica adds a whole new level to their sound. The last song on "Never Say Die" is a good example but that wasn't Ozzy, it was a guy whose name I can't remember , "Swinging The Chain" I think it's called.
Why not Rat Salad ?
@@MrDeadstu great idea sir
Yup.
Great showcase for Bill.
I read an interview with Sabbath guitarist Tony Iommi where he said this version wasnt the best version they recorded but, because they didnt know any better they just went with this one. Which makes you wonder how great that one is cuz this one is great!
My favorite Sabbath song even tho' there are so many....this one is just special, really lets Tony go off for a bit, shows his transitioning from being a Blues guitarist to the metal jazz hard rock blues genius he became.... and That Tone... wow. Thanks for doing this one, so far the first I've seen... rock on
1971….i was 16……some 30 yr old guy said “you gotta hear this album”… he had a kick ass stereo…..i was forever influenced after that experience. I’ve seen Sabbath live with Ozzy, RJD……. Geezer, Tony, Bill…… my favorite band…..thanks for the immaculate recording sound……it brought that whole experience back……
You being a drummer you have see 1970 War Pigs live Bill is a site to see on the drums
...was about to write this!🔥
The greatest debut album ever recorded in the history of music; ESPECIALLY; IN ONE DAY! ...As a musician for almost a half century, I've heard some close ones, but; no cigar!
This was taken from their first album recorded in 1969, I think the whole album was recorded in a day, which gives it a live feel.
So many more Black Sabbath songs to react to. This is off their first amazing album
The his is obviously one of the greatest ever covers.
Shit. I didn't know this song was a cover !
It definitely is
@@mikek9297 Yeah, Ansley Dunbar. This version is definitely better though, in my opinion.
When they first got together they would just jam the sh** out of their tunes to see where they could take them. This song gets you close to being there with them.
This entire album was recorded in 12 hours. All these bands auto tuning with 27 people writing their songs can put that in their pipe and smoke it.
Another song from this album that is awesome is The Wizard. It's funky and has a lot of cowbell and Ozzy plays a harmonica!
I used to get all smoked up and listen to this back in the day!
Doing both right now !
Still do
I still do, lol
Tony on guitar steals the show, one of my favorites.
The first time I heard this song....I didn't know it was all 1 song.
😂
We Sold Our Soul for Rock 'n' Roll
Hearing War Pigs only once at a friend's house helped make this the first cassette I ever owned....and of course I wore that bitch out!
lol
Sabbath Bloody Sabbath - arguably the best example of Ozzy’s vocals & IMO the best metal song EVER
No one else could sign this.. Ozzy is haunting…. Heavy
beautiful rhythms and riffs, Black Sabbath need i say more!
🤘🖤🦇🤘
Black sabbath!!
My favorite Sabbath song by far. So many textures and certainly not what you'd expect from Sabbath. It also really showcases Tony's incredible range. Thank you for the reaction. I'm so glad you took this on, not too many reactions to this song which is a real shame.
Under the sun - Black Sabbath
The first four albums..........every song is GOLD !!!!!!!
6
Absolutely awesome! Please more Black Sabbath anything off paranoid or master of reality.
Can't remember if they used 8 track recording, but not much if any edits... It was funny how his solos were so light on distortion too. You can hear every note clearly, which is a surprise to people hearing, "That's Black Sabbath" haha... amazing first 4 albums...
England was pretty much fucked during the 1970’s,but look at the music created back then. Reminds me of Harry Limes monologue on the Ferris wheel in the Third Man about Switzerland having 500 yrs of peace and security and producing nothing more than Cookoo clocks, while the Borgias in Italy had war and conflict, yet producing the art of the Renaissance. Hard times and conflict provide inspiration and great art…long live Rock’n Roll
Black Sabbath- Sabbath bloody Sabbath
Thats what I'm talking about. Great choice. Now I'll start the video
The Blues with a metal stamp on it
Sabbath Rules🤘🏼
THIS DEBUT ALBUM BY BLACK SABBATH HAD A GREAT INFLUENCE and shaped THE TRASH METAL ROCK GENRE OF THE 1990's - EARLY 2000's That included Nirvana , Metallica , Incubus etc.
Love Sabbath
You should really give another Black Sabbath song called "Sign of the Southern Cross" ft. Dio a listen
Hi, I couldn't hit this review fast enough. This and behind the wall of sleep are the 2 best songs on this album imho. Hope you'll do the second one. I think you will really like it.
Watched many of your reviews. Great job breaking things down and describing the music.
Thanks
I was listening to them since the early 70”s along with zeppelin deep purple ac-dc the best bands ever
they have tons of great songs, band was awesome.
This song is one of the best… groovy
The original, what started it all.
I haven’t heard that song in years. Time to pull out the Black Sabbath albums. Great request!! Still no disappointments. Hope and good health to you all. 😎
Deep ass lyrics pouring out the heart but guitar solo a little long but hey Ringo starr did it with his drum solos. This song is a perfect you fucked my heart up song.
The only other cover they did was Evil Woman by Crow.
You need to do War Pigs (1970 LIVE Paris) if you have not seen it. Or Supernaut or the Wizard or jsut about eveything Black Sabbath lol
nice cover by black sabbbath, the Aynsley Dunbar Retaliation is good too
blues rock, like zeppelin and purple
That’s a genre defining track on the genre defining album.
Just found out this is a cover of an early Aynsley Dunbar Retaliation song. Would never have guessed
Forgot how sick that song was.
"In The Beginning"- "Lovely To See You"- "Dear Diary"- W/Lryics-The Moody Blues
I love people’s reaction when they hear real music for the first time and it blows their mind
In my opinion this is the very first metal song. Sabbath are Gods in my mind but this is the holy grail of the metal genre
my favorite by Sabbath
The first track, seriously. Please rate the first track on this LP.
My first album that I bought and my first concert when I was about 12 !!!!! Really starting to getting into your channel . Have a great day dude!!!!!
You've been Warned.
Love Sabbath ❤️
Great request
Fantastic song
Awesome job in your selection, unmatched musicianship equal any song really!
Deep cut. Nice.
Minute 11:11 onward is majestic
I’ve listened to the album so many times yet never appreciated this song as much. Thanks.
The older Ozzy became ,the higher his voice got ...There were tons of guitar solos then but they always did have tier own identity ,even when some were way too long and over done it was still enjoyable.,
Wizard
lots of great suggestions, many of them are available from the Paris 1970 performance.....if faced with multiple options Paris 1970 is the way to go in my opinion
Did this song come out before Led Zeppelin's Heart Breaker?I hear similarities in the guitar playing.
Warning is a cover tune, but Sabbath made it theirs
Listen to the original version of Warning by the Aynsley Dunbar Retaliation
They lasted so long and went through plenty of changes with numerous great albums. Not everything is great but there are always gems.
My fav by them by far
If you're a drummer, do hand of doom! Killer drums
If you're a drummer, War Pigs live Paris 1970.
Hey Chod, I have just one more request for a reaction video: A Cat Stevens song “Where Do The Children Play?”. He has a bunch of great songs (many of them featured in the movie “Harold and Maude.”). Could you please maybe put this one on your long list? Thanks so much.
Pure blues!
Yes!! 🔥🔥 I wore this album out back in high school and this song was one of the best. Check out Behind the Wall of Sleep from this album.. they’re all good songs, you could do the whole album and not find a bad one.
Electric Funeral 🔥🔥🔥
A trip
Warning Black Sabbath, inside looking out grand funk, how many more times Led Zeppelin!! Try it
Best of 69
A very good cover of an Aynsley Dunbar Retaliation track .
"FAIRIES WEAR BOOTS"!!!!
Just started watching, but I’m betting you love that bass line.
Reading through the comments I think I would just recommend taking a list of all Sabbath songs from the first 6 albums and Heaven and Hell. Then throw a dart. Regardless you are going to find a killer tune.
Nothing against the rest of their catalogue. Most of the Tony Martin stuff is not bad (I actually really like Tyr) and the last two Ozzy records from the 70s just don't have the same impact for me. But pretty much everything from those 7 albums is a masterpiece.
First solo i learned im tony student.
Respect to Geezer Butler on Bass
Don’t forget Ronnie James Dio!!
Will you please do the writ by Black Sabbath ? Its on Sabotage
Hey man just found your channel and would love to see you react to Innocence by Harlequin
Saw them warm up Triumph in Kingston Ontario Canada at the War Memorial years ago. Great band!
👍👍👍👍👍
I would recommend you listen to Symptom Of The Universe, Megalomania & Supernaut by Black Sabbath.
Yes the God Mr Ozzy!
Make it their own ?
So i found this out a couple years ago. That sabbath cover this song. I always thought this was a original sabbath song. The original song by The aynsley dunbar retallition. It's pretty good. I like sabbath version better.
Electric Funeral then Rat Salad. Thank You very much please ☺
😀
👍
you don't pause but the ads sure do 4 times during this song
get adblock dude
