"Warning", and the whole BS first album, Blew my mind in 1969 !! Three years out of High School !! This song was written by Ainsley Dunbar, a rock drummer, back in the day... who played with Zappa for years. I went back to the store and bought the last 4 albums they had and wore them ALL, OUT !! Finally in the mid 1980's (when CD's were invented), I bought the whole Sabbath catalog, about 7 albums. Been a fan ever since 1969. I'm 74 years young !! Love you guys !!
I heard this when I was 15. I just turned 60. Still love it. How many things will be with you for 45 years? Or a life time? Sabbath will be with me till my last day.
WHEN I STARTED LISTENING TO BLACK SABBATH IN THE 70'S WHAT I ALWAYS LIKED ABOUT THEM IS YOU COULD ALWAYS HEAR THE BASS GO GEEZER AND TONY IOMMI ON THAT FUCKING GUITAR RON STEPHENS
One of the best guitarists ever......... Why did it last so long????????? He was tripping on ACID.......................... He was in his own world.... And obviously it was a good world.......
What's not to love in classic Black Sabbath. Awesome jamming. The whole album was recorded live in the studio and considering the time and budget they've got, it's just pure magic.
I had the privilege of attending the Kansas City , MO show during the first Black Sabbath US tour in 1970 or 71. 3rd row, right in front of Ozzie. Tony was on the right. Of course, with only two albums released they pretty much played their whole catalog. Tony played this whole solo in its entirety. Spellbinding. I saw Jimi Hendrix as my first concert. This was better. I don't believe that Black Sabbath ever equaled their first two albums in later years. The originality, freshness and variety of musical styles expressed on the first two are what sets them apart, IMHO. Love both your reactions to this. It still spellbinds after 50 years. It makes my heart glad. :)
Just a note this song was written and originally performed by Aynsley Dunbar's Warning. Dunbar would later go on to play drums in Journey among other bands
This is definitely the greatest song sabbath done with ozzy. And one of the greatest songs period, and even matches or goes further than of bands epic songs.
"I was born without you baby, but my feelings were a little bit too strong." This song as well as other songs by Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, The Stones, etc. proves that Blues music is the base of Rock and roll, Rock, Hard Rock, Southern Rock, Metal and to some extents, Heavy Metal and some Punk Rock.
Ozzy made a mistake with the lyrics. This is a cover song and the actual lyrics are "I was warned about you, baby." When you understand the original lyrics, the song makes more sense.
That's British Rock for ya guys!!!! We're so lucky to have had bands like Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin, Judas Priest etc etc. Sabbath, Zeppelin & Priest all came from the West Midlands where I live, so so lucky. Enjoy it guys!!
Quite possibly Sabbath's' greatest song that rarely got radio airplay because of it's length...which is a bit confusing because radio stations had no problem playing Zeppelin's lengthy 'Stairway To Heaven' 10 billion times, but rarely if ever played this masterpiece on the radio back in the 70's.
that was sabbaths warning to everyone out there nothing out there at all like this back then my favorite sabbath song to unbelievable this is 50 years old and so fresh today top notch sabbath
Black Sabbath aside for being just beoynd sane, I love the fact that two (I asume) ‘cross-fitters’ digs, what is really an expression of a not to approach to a healthy way of life. Love from Copenhagen, Denmark
Early Black Sabbath was technically a blues jazz band. they were learning their sound and going towards more of a metal environment but blues and jazz is where their foundations came from.
If you want to check out the American Black Sabbath as they were called check out BANG. Their 1st album kicked ass with songs like Our Home, Questions, Future Shock, The Queen , Redman. They actually toured with Sabbath which must have been great.
Hey there! Not sure if anyone else has mentioned that Black Sabbath had a singer by the name of Tony Martin front 1987-1996. They put out some great albums with him. Incredibly underrated Era of Sabbath. The Headless Cross album from 1987 would be a great place to start. Just a little suggestion to a really obscure point in time for Sabbath that not many people are aware of.
I love your comment "Oh it's still going" and Kel's involuntary jump at 11:00. I've fond memories of the only time I saw Black Sabbath - the afternoon of Oct 26th 1970. Later that same afternoon and in the same venue, I then went to a gig by Emerson, Lake an Palmer...The gigs were in London and we scoured the record shops to get hold of the Black Sabbath album "Paranoid" which was released at that time....
Born of Hendrix blues, as Deep Purple (mixed with Zeppelin, Cream). The Yardbirds, The Kinks and Animals started it mixed with Pink Floyd it was always there waiting to be heard...
I only know this much. Randy Rhoads would play his solo over and over and combine 3 of them to get the "best" effect. Izzy usually wished he would have taken take one! It's only what I heard😄
I finally subscribed to you guys after watching your reaction videos for a while. I was a teenager in the early to mid 70s so this heavy rock genre is right up my alley. I'm a huge Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin fanatic. Long live the 60s and 70s.
I bet it was one take - from reading one of Tony Iommi's books, he was just inspired by some unknown force - like there was someone else in the room with them guiding them somehow. He also said that if you asked him to play one of his songs (I forget which one he mentioned) it wouldn't be exactly the same as on the album - he just improvised as he played a song.
I first heard this song 42 years ago and I’m 52. My reaction was like you two, Kel-n-Rich!.. but I then played this song probably 10 more times in a row from the “ we sold our soul for rock ‘n’ roll album”! Since then Sabbath still is my favorite band!!🤘🏼🤘🏼
Amazing that they recorded this album in one take save a couple over dubs. They had this material so well rehearsed from playing it live some times twice a night. it only cost tem a couple hundred dollars to record it.
They could blues it up with the best of 'em.
What a fucking band.
Incredible sound for that time
"Warning", and the whole BS first album, Blew my mind in 1969 !! Three years out of High School !! Sabbath always reminded us of the artistic might that humans are capable of.
We got a Whoa & a utterly speechless... I hear that !
I’m 61 been listening to this since 1972 this is my favorite song by them
Saw them in 70. On an island in the middle of a lake in Germany. Misty and magical
Sabbath for ever
Look like brothers
I heard this when I was 15. I just turned 60. Still love it. How many things will be with you for 45 years? Or a life time? Sabbath will be with me till my last day.
Same here - I was 14 or 15. I think Black Sabbath is still the best.
Nice to meet you....
music lasts forever
Me too 😄
They were known as Earth but a Boris Karloff movie shown at an Movie Marathon changed their name and The rest is history.
I heard this song when it first came out in the 70s. Amazing album.
WHEN I STARTED LISTENING TO BLACK SABBATH IN THE 70'S WHAT I ALWAYS LIKED ABOUT THEM IS YOU COULD ALWAYS HEAR THE BASS GO GEEZER AND TONY IOMMI ON THAT FUCKING GUITAR RON STEPHENS
#BlackSabbath War Pigs LIVE IN PARIS 1970 THE MOST INTENSE AND AUTHENTIC METAL PERFORMANCE I'VE EVER SEEN. IVE WATCHED IT LIKE 50 TIMES
One of the best guitarists ever......... Why did it last so long????????? He was tripping on ACID.......................... He was in his own world.... And obviously it was a good world.......
I love geezer Butler's bass work on this track epic sound and sets the backdrop for everything else
the true sabbath
The Sabs at their bluesiest.
Fucking love it.
I fucking love everything by them.
Black Sabbath album, recorded in 1969, published in 1970
Now that's good Blues metal
Nice reaction!! You were shoked!! This is the real heavy metal come from... British most iconic band from Birmingham!!!.
Geezer butler pure class . I loved England in 70s and 80s
Yep. Outstanding !!!
One of the greatest LP , bought in march 70
honestly, you can not overstate their importance in music history.
What's not to love in classic Black Sabbath. Awesome jamming. The whole album was recorded live in the studio and considering the time and budget they've got, it's just pure magic.
This song was covered by black sabbath. This song was originaly written by Ansley Dunbar Retaliation.
This album is what got me listening to these metal gods. I was 12 when this came out.
Warning is a badass dangerous song!
Masterpiece
Sabbath Rules
Best cover in history
the fist time i heard The Warning, I was with him...lol...speechless
This song to me is the best heavy metal song ever.
Yumm

Pure Fire!
Bass holding it down!
Toni Iommi is my all time favorite guitarist ever. And Geezer writing Bill beatin the shit outta them drums.
This is definitely the greatest song sabbath done with ozzy. And one of the greatest songs period, and even matches or goes further than of bands epic songs.
The greatest Sabbath song? And he screwed up the lyrics forever wrecking it.
BIRTH OF METAL
And Heavy Metal was born
Their most famous tune was Paranoid.
The birth of heavy metal. No one has ever done it better.

Hel-frickin-yeah.
You said it man. Rich
That song was with Asley Dunbar in 1967
Perfect reaction.

One of Sabbath's best most epic songs
it is a cover
Black Sabbath aside for being just beoynd sane, I love the fact that two (I asume) ‘cross-fitters’ digs, what is really an expression of a not to approach to a healthy way of life.

in 1974 I was 14 and this was the shit imagine living thru this .... all of it !!!! WE WERE GRACED WITH SOME AMAZING MUSIC !!!!!!!!!!!!
This is from Black Sabbath's first album. You can see why most folks say the basically invented heavy metal rock.
22nd October 2020 I heard the song back in.77 I'm now 58
Just found out the songs are listed alphabetically. Great! Now I have to learn the alphabet.
Right? Makes sense and easier for you. THANK YOU FOR CHECKING!!!!! Rich
I have been listening to Black Sabbath since I was 11 years old I was Bourn in 1958 and saw them 6 times they truly are the music of my life

Who the hell can dislike black sabbath a true master piece in hard rock
The song is incredible and you're reactions were great, but it was seeing your relationship that made this video.
Iommi took The Blues and painted it black.
You got that right brother.
Brilliant analogy. I'm gonna use that one.
I think they did the whole thing in like 11 hours.
@@brettmanus7904 16 October 1969
This is the Black Sabbath I grew up on. About 7-8 years old. My brothers were a terrible influence. LOL
I first heard this in 1971.when I was19. The song is a cover tune by sabbath. They DID NOT WRITE IT.
From minute 11:13 on it was majestic
🖤🤘🦇
The bass on this!✌️
GEEZER BUTLER drives most of the Sabbath songs along
Channeling Cream and Jack bruce here !! : D
The rhythm section of Butler and Ward were essential in every worthwhile Sabbath track... Incredible and often overlooked for their contribution.

One of my favorite from black Sabbath...after this beautiful song...is The Wizard ...
I wore this song out back in the 70’s. Great choice!
Almost 50 years ago and still VERY relevant and Bad Ass 😍😍😍
I only know this much. Randy Rhoads would play his solo over and over and combine 3 of them to get the "best" effect. Izzy usually wished he would have taken take one! It's only what I heard😄
I've read that this album was recorded in two or three days. Unbelievable.
It was recorded in about 8 or 9 hours, mixed in 3 hours
Once again, Geezer and Bill taking a straight blues jam and jazzin' it up. And yes, Tony's solos are face-melting.
11:23 - Rich: "Wha-wha-what?" Kel: Shh, enjoying the music. :D

If you haven't heard Fairies Wear Boots yet, I would strongly recommend it. The Jazz and Blues are very prevalent in that song.
I just love it when they grind Metal into pretty, pretty Flowers!!!!
