  • I never wanted you to see this video, I've been struggling because i had this idea that to share what i love with you, everything had to be perfect. This video is me sharing with you my struggle, my endeavor to getting back to doing what i love, my attempt to tell myself "something is better than nothing, and it doesn't have to always be perfect " in this journey... I'm asking for your help.

You’re incredible!! This was so brave of you. You are a blessing, habibi. What you don’t know is that this video could touch so many. You see, I watched the perfect videos you made and wanted so badly to do them but because everything looked and felt so perfect, I thought “You can’t possibly do this, so don’t even try”. Your transparency today couldn’t have come at a better time. I went through a rough divorce from an abusive/manipulative/cheating man a few years ago and my mental health has been up and down for so long. To know that there’s another Egyptian mama, whom I admire, share her truth… you’re the one who has now given me the inspiration I need to also get back to doing what I love: making my content for teachers/moms that I stopped doing because my life shifted and it wasn’t going to appear great anymore.
Thank you for your bravery, thank you for teaching me to cook more rather than get takeout or freezer meals from the grocery store, and thank you for being you!! ❤❤

      THANK YOU, that's a great honor that i don't deserve ♥️♥️🙏
I'm so glad the little i do is, in a way, beneficial for others. That's the best boost anyone can give me. Please do what you love. I understand the struggle, been there, done that, still struggling with it.
I think doing what we love and being transparent and honest is the best thing we can do for ourselves before anyone else.
And the passion will show through our work and hopefully, ultimately will help someone 🙏 thank you so much for sharing your story and looking forward to seeing more content from you as well 😍🙏

Dear Miriam, please know that no one expects absolute perfection out of your videos; we enjoy learning all your delicious recipes and appreciate your videos. In 2020 at the height of Covid, I wanted to make Eid cookies for my family, but wanted to avoid anything not homemade. Every year we would just buy store bought petit four. So that's how I found your channel! I wanted to make these traditional cookies for my Egyptian husband and kids, but it was hard to find recipes in English. Your step by step videos were just what I needed! Now for every Eid after this I always make your homemade petit four the day before Eid. All my kids love this and help me make the cookies. You helped us to create a lovely family tradition that we all look forward to and treasure every year! Please don't be so hard on yourself and know that your work helps and delights all of us who try your recipes!!

Thank you so much for your heartfelt message! It truly warms my heart to hear how my videos have become a part of your family tradition, especially during such important moments like Eid. I'm incredibly touched that my recipes have brought joy and a sense of togetherness to your family celebrations. Your kind words remind me of the real reason why I do what I do-to share the love of cooking and create connections through food. I'll keep your words close whenever I feel the pressure of perfection creeping in. Wishing you and your family continued joy and delicious moments together!

But I want easy, simple recipes! I’d love if you shared this one. Not everyone wants the purely aesthetic. Real life is beautiful.

Thank you. Your comments are making me realize that the way i was thinking about it is not right. I need to get out of my head and just do what i love. Thank you 😍🙏
Here is the recipe until i formally make a better video showing the steps.
      It's very simple.
      Chicken tenders (cubed)
Onions, green bell peppers, red, sun-dried tomatoes.
Salt, black pepper, chicken seasoning, lemon pepper, paprika, cayenne pepper for heat.
Saute the chicken and add the seasoning in garlic butter (i always have garlic butter on hand. It makes everything 100 times better 😋)
Then, set aside and quickly saute the veggies, then combine.
I served it next to Egyptian white rice with vermicelli noodles for my husband and kids and with quinoa for myself 🥰😋

Hey Mariam, truly love your recipes. I came across your channel few months ago and cooked some of your recipes. All turned out amazing. And then realized you haven’t posted for a while and then I said to myself that’s too bad and hoped you would come back and post. I was very excited to see you post. Keep up the good work and remember not to be hard on yourself. Life is too short to think and worry to much. Cant wait to see what’s to come❤

Hello Miriam! I've been a subscriber for quite some time now and every time I come here I think "wow, such good recipes, I wish she would post again." I'm so happy to see you here again! I'm in love with Egyptian cuisine and I am learning so much from your videos. They really don't have to be perfect for you as they are already perfect for us. I want to know how to make the simplest things. I live in Europe and I don't know if I will ever go to Egypt but I feel like I can at least partly experience it through your recipes. ❤
