So many different recipes online. I’m making yours tonight. All ingredients ready to go. Will let you know how it taste. Edit. It’s really good. I doubled the sauce because I used just under a kilo of chicken. I marinated the chicken in light soya, Chinese cooking wine, ginger/garlic paste, white pepper & cornstarch, egg white for 1/2 hour. Fried it in 3 batches to get crispy and golden brown (about 3 to 4 minutes). Set aside and then wok fried a whole onion in quarters, red pepper, ginger, garlic & the green onion. Added sauce (put 1/2 tbsp of oyster sauce and used 1 tbsp of chili flakes to balance the sweet of the brown sugar & hoisin). Don’t be shy with vinegar either. Then put chicken back in. Stir fried for another minute or so. Then tighten up with cornstarch slurry. It was excellent. Mix your sauce (without cornstarch) in a mason jar ahead of time and taste it. It may need to be balanced with more water if too salty. Don’t overcook chicken. The egg white really makes it tender.
I tried it and it tasted marvelous 🤤🤤 The only chnage i made was to cut down the quantity of cornflour and instead of putting it directly in the chicken (because you have to put alot of it if you put it directly) i mixed half of the conflour with all purpose flour and mixed it. I dipped each chicken strip separately into the flour mixture
