Brian I believe you enjoyed flying jet plane as much as any plane you've ever flown. I sure enjoyed watching you fly it. I had been waiting on you to make another video. You and camera crew makes a good tag team
Brian I don't know what's wrong with my phone what I said was I believe you enjoyed flying that plane as much as any plane you've ever flown I always enjoy your videos
Phones have a mind of their own anymore ;) Thanks and no problemo! I kinda figured it was an "auto-correct" thing...since this is not a jet - LOL - but yes, it was a BLAST. I flew it this weekend in like 30+ MPH, it was CRAZY!!!!! She was flipping around like nobodies business - I felt dirty watching it was so twisted up there!!!! You gotta get one, if you like the STICK type of plane. This one is light, agile, crazy power, and yet, she's EASY to land! I almost bit it when I had wind shear from about 25-5 feet in about 1 second on final one time, but thank GOD for the power, just pulled right out of it and did a go-around...then changed the drawers ;)
Thanks Brian and Meg for spending ALL OF MY MONEY!!! LOL!! Those Eolo props are simply works of art and ALWAYS perfectly balanced right out of the box!! You guys are awesome!! Keep the great content coming!!
Love balsa. This one is a keeper. It comes with a sunnysky 3525 880kv motor, I consider that the best 4s motor for a 46 size plane. I have one in my pheonix models spacewalker on 4s it's 720kv version with a 13x8.5 prop, that spacewalker wieghs 7.25 pounds but that sunnysky motor flies it beautifully on half throttle easy 6 minute flight times 4500mah pack.
Awesome flight and video! Started out 4 decades ago with balsa planes and nitro engines. Sold off all my stuff 7 or 8 years ago after flying in my area became too much trouble, career and family obligations, yada yada…plus the FAA’s new ID requirements…just didn’t seem worth it. My cousin talked me into cheap and easy foam board planes last year and we’ve been flying at local school yards, much more fun and easier. Seeing planes like this though make me want to join a club again and put up with the old guys.
Brian, you could wick a little thin CA around the tail wheel wire where it goes into the rudder to strengthen and firm up the balsa. Also use that little screw in the tail wheel package in the wheel collar there to help take some of the load off the rudder hinges and on the tail wheel bracket.
Yeah, it's not the best trainer, but it IS a great flyer, for sure!!! If you "know" how to fly, it's NOT HARD to fly, but it'd be a "high consequence" flier...I would not want to crash it ;)
Seems all stick models does fly exceptional well! I still have my 120 size, built in 1987 with almost no dihedral. Minor leading wing edge damaged twice but sooooo easy to repair! Still using a Saito 180 for power.
We hope we will too, but not 100% sure. If the building is going through a critical step, we won't be there, but if not we hope to make it again. It's a fun and wonderful experience, especially if cool guys let me fly their turbine jets ;)
Looks like a better performer than the Hanger9 Ultrastick 6s. I just didn't like mine, felt heavy and took ages to sell cos ppl are scared of the repair job necessary if they crash it. My foam planes sell much easier. This looks faster even though it on 4s. Wondering if it's cheaper too making it even better value for money than the Ultrastick. However I think supply to UK isn't as great as it is to your home country USA.
Yep, you hit the nail on the head. This one is SUPER easy to fly. Floaty, and light...easy...that's what I want. I want these planes to make me feel "good" as a pilot, and this thing does it's job!!! That being said, the Hangar 9 offering is not BAD, it's just not as much a standout, and power to weight makes a HUGE difference.
OMP with a Sunnysky is where its at! See if you can get the Edge 540 60" , its my favorite small plane. Now that you have that plane, I expect you to hover Brian Reece's plane next Nall! See you then! -- Rick from Two Idiots RC
OMP offers some nice products. I ha e 2 of their planes and have found them to be high quality and great fliers. Not a fan of this livery but that is just me.
So Brian, never flown in cold weather as you have there but do you think the cold air density has anything to do with the excellent flight characteristics?
That's one Powerhouse of a Schtick!! Impressive climb out! And the roll rate. And it's on 4s??? Not a bad choice for my 1st "woody"... I'll talk to Santa and see what shows up under the tree. Thanks, guys!! 👍

All the OMP balsa models are great, and like their slogan says, at a foamy price.
for some reason the sound of this plane flying by is the best I've heard in a long time
One bird I always wanted! A green one 2! Barnstormers are awesome!
Sweet plane love the color and the way it sounds. Looks like it fly’s great. 👍😎

Thanks Brian and the best ever camera crew for another awesome video of a great plane ! You guys ROCK ! What a GREAT plane !
Brian, all omp planes are super light and fly great. I have the 60" edge and flies amazing!
They really are, at least the ones I've flown. This one is no expectation, only it's even BETTER than average!
That thing is dope !
It is so good; way better than I expected!!!

Good job you didn’t mention the war. Yeah my type of plane. Lovely colours.

Those big ole wings can stay up forever
Hey Brian! That looks like a great trainer, but I know better. What an awesome flier!!

Brian I'll have to say it does look stall proof
Damn that looks like a fun one! I'll take mine with Stars & Bars though.
The gas version flies just as good.
As my wife would say, "wood is better than foam!" lol...
Looks fun.
Super amazing flying plane, only the cost, but I get that, so nice.
i just crashed my stick i bought from my friend for $75 dollars now makes me wanna get another one from omp hobby!
This one is so dang good! I want to fly it again, but weather has been TERRIBLE around here ;(....
Man I hope you guys make it to Nall 2025. Would love to hang out again with you guys.

Check out the challenger from Buddy RC it is better looking and a lot cheaper .
Pretty sure Brian ripped the gear off his OMP Challenger, clipping a snow/ice drift. 👍

His link is cheaper than OMP's direct site, specifically the PNP version.
Nice! Thanks ;)

Santa should definitely be on board with this one ;)
Hello Mr. Phillips. Is there a reason why we never see you flying glo/gas airplanes?
That's a kite.
It totally is! I was flying it last weekend in 25-35MPH winds, and it was CRAZY!!! Total kite!!!
Not my kind of stuff pretty nice plane
