    I believe there was a horde side quest on northrend where a forsaken was trying to make a poison or something, and was using a paladin as a test subject, and when the paladin drunk it ate it or something, nothing happened to him, then in his frustration the undead threw the poison at his assistant who was also an undead, and he melted into goo. That was such an interesting quest, i still remember it.

    The Light has some similarities with the Force from Star Wars. Some individuals are more in tune with the Light than others and they usually become paladins or priests. But to most people the Light is a philosophy.

      I'd say its more like a green latern ring. You have to know about it and thus have faith in it. You don't have to know about the force to weild it.

      Actually, it is heavily based on the Game of Thrones books.

    I really think it is interesting on how the Holy Light follows a being as long they fully believe in it, but they may not be doing the morally right things. You pretty much in that one sentence completely summed up the Scarlet Crusade.

    Velen, Azeroth's greatest ambassador. "Hey orcs! Ya know that thing you worship? Ya no, that's our God, not yours. Hey tyrande! Ya know that goddess you've devoted your life to? Haha, funny thing, that's our God! We call all be buddies now right?"

    That's weird considering that Arthas, who believed in what he was doing was right, lost the light when he was slaughtering the city. Book or that section redcon by chance??

    Key thing people forget is that Faith is the strongest form of willpower there is, it would be better to say that your ability is relevant to your willpower, and that the light becomes easier to use the stronger that willpower is, and faith is the strongest form of that willpower, hence why it is in most cases regarded as a religion

    Using all this information how did Arthas lose the light?
    He Believed fully in what he was doing until the end except for the whole still loving Jaina thing.
    The Forsaken can use it so why not a Lich?

    Great lore video.
    It is shame how Blizzard just makes silly excuses to make more race/class combinations. I liked vanilla concept more, with paladins only alliance and shamans only horde. Gave speciality to ceratin fraction. Now, it is just same.

      minecraftcreeperpoop I know. But they could work on it, to make it more ballanced. Afterall, half of specs have been useless and they made them viable, in time.

    • @Doronsmovies

      Honestly some races do make sense. Wildhammer dwarves have been shamanistic and the nature people forever and also the blood elves have practiced the Light before and now they got the Blood Knights at the time of the Burning Crusade.

    • @Doronsmovies
      @Doronsmovies  9 років тому +2

      Thanks, was worried at first since I use to get copyright infringment on the in game cinematics like the Dark Star but it worked. Otherwise I would have to lower the quality and re-render. I've noticed that the videos look a bit better with the mix of the blizzard cinematics and my own footage, as it isn't really easy to replicate the same quality that blizzard does.

    Doron do you think if anyone can use the light do you think death knights could be retrained into paladins or priests if they believed hard enough in their cause? Despite the fact it would hurt them because they are undead.

    • @franzferdinand2389
      @franzferdinand2389 9 років тому

      Alec Grant no it would "kill" them. Contact with light magic hurts the undead because it fades away the dark magic that is keeping the soul inside the body, this magic works also as a buffer between sould and body which is the reason undead dont feel emotions and pain. The light removes this buffer causing an overreaction of pain, if that process would be continued and extended it could cause the dark magic to be to weak to keep the soul inside anymore which would cause the body to drop dead.

    In my circle of roleplayers we say that the Light is goodness and because everyone possesses the capability of being good it connects us to everyone and everything. Following the three virtues Respect, Tenacity and Compassion serve to strengthen those bonds bringing us and the people we affect closer to the Light.

    • @godskingdomservant3191
      @godskingdomservant3191 4 роки тому

      I agree humans have the potential to do or became good. But unfortunately all of us are affected, one way or the other, by sin. (Romans 3:23)
      There's a doctrine called "total depravity" in some Churches. It says that we cannot do anything good without God, for He is the source of goodness. I haven't studied much about it because I do not agree with certain doctrines, but in any case it's best to study the Bible and ask God for wisdom and discerniment.

    Is that good for a Roleplaying base ?

  • @undolf4097
    @undolf4097 7 років тому

    The Light is not dependent on how strong a person believes in their cause. The Light certainly does choose sides but can be wielded by most races despite that, the Light only becomes unuwieldable when utterly rejected. That's in line with what you say even here.

      Kuba CoCięToObchodzi Oh, the Gronns, yeah, those are big by nature, they are descendants of the Mighty Gruul, the Dragonslayer, or maybe those skeletons are the ancestors of Gruul, those beats have little lore from where they came from, all we know is that they where there, on Draenor, since the beggining, they've been retconed to fight the plant life of Draenor.

    I dont think that Elune is a naaru because didnt she give Cenarius his powers? You cant have a Demigod without a god.

    • @XochiCh
      @XochiCh 9 років тому

      Elune is Cenarius' mother, but we dont know if Naaru reproduce, and since the Warcraft universe is so fucked up, with aliens having babies with other aliens and inter-racial babies in Azeroth, we can asume that the once Night Elf called Elune could had a baby with the ancient of nature, also, its speculated that she ascended to become the Goddess, she could have done what Velen did, and sacrifice herself to purify a Naaru, who she merged with.

    • @azurengamer9392
      @azurengamer9392 9 років тому

      ***** I think Elune is actually a purified loa while there are similarities with the naaru there are better similarities between Elune and loas.

    • @XochiCh
      @XochiCh 9 років тому

      AzurenGamer
      Elune was once a mortal that became a goddes, its closer to a Naaru than a Loa, people cant just turn into Loas.

    • @azurengamer9392
      @azurengamer9392 9 років тому

      Yukine Chris loas in wow are dead trolls that rose to a higher power in death the nelfs came from the troll race but Elune is said to be a nelf herself which would suggest she was once a troll loa who led her ppl to the well of eternity not only her troll tribe but she herself was transformed by the powerful waters....and had sexy times with a dear but that isn't really important to the argument.
