  • Blayne Yerby has been named Rehab Champion here at Brooks Rehabilitation. Shortly after giving birth to her first son, Tanner, Blayne began experiencing back pain that wasn't quite normal. She and her family quickly realized that something was wrong and they returned to the hospital to find out what was wrong.
She began experiencing paralysis from the waist down and difficulty remembering her family members. It was a frightening experience, not only for Blayne, but for her family as well. After being diagnosed with an epidural abscess that caused paralysis, Blayne was transferred to Brooks Rehabilitation Hospital - University Campus.

I went to a rehab unit and mentioned something like that for learning to walk but the machine was broken. That’s the NHS! I discharged myself. Supposed to be three hours a day physio. We got one hour.

had an Epidural Abscess in 2016-2017, shit sucks. the lack of info dr's have on it means many misdiagnosis. took 6 months and almost complete paralysis from the lumbar l2 l3 down before dr's found it. still in "recovery" and trying to regain feeling in my groin and legs

Same here. Can’t walk but can stand, more or less. Numb round perineum.

Hope you sued for medical malpractice. Horrendous for you to have this happen. Epidural is life threatening and somebody needs to get the word out about RISKS, maybe myself. Blaine you are so Courageous.

The lady mentions that her mother worked at "brooks" since she was a child.....calling herself a "brooks baby" which, "Brooks" from the video is an intensive care facility......the chances that this woman got the very infection from "Brooks" facility is HIGHLY LIKELY...
