    We received this in the mail today! The packaging was fine, no damage during shipping thank goodness! The construction was very simple ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxXH3jIpsn6vpr3D26KWAriUejh7CSxVp7 , the bottom rocking part and the ottoman were already put together for us which is nice!As for the actual quality, the wood seems fine.. Not too cheap but maybe not the quality you would find in a store for 400$. However, it is still sturdy and feels secure. I've only had it for one night, so of course no squeaking yet.. But if it does squeak it could be easily oiled. The cushions are comfy, and made of a suede like material. Obviously with time these cushions will probably wear and tear.. But for the price of the chair it is still worth it just to go out and buy new cushions that fit in the future.Overall I am very satisfied, I was a little worried after reading some reviews and looking through the photos, but I'm happy I bought it! Obviously it's not a heavy-duty chair, but with care I'm hoping it will last a while.

    Hey Amie,
    You can buy regular "repair clips" that are pretty good.
    A screw is better than a nail, too. (I do this for a living)
    Have a good one!

    I had a sunken seat on my sofa, had know idea if/how to fix it! Watched this video and cut open bottom. The spring system was the same. The bracket hadn't broken, it had come away from the frame! I nailed it back on and it's as good as new. Thanks, your video was of great help.

    • @Fiery154
      @Fiery154 Рік тому +1

      You can throw it away. You don’t really need it. If you REALLY want one, you can go buy some non-woven interfacing from the fabric store and just staple it on with a staple gun. Regular fabric (in any color you want) is also an option, but go for the cheap stuff. No one is looking under your couch.

    I was thinking of just giving away my late 1800s Victorian sofa because of a sunken spot from a spring "unspringing". Not sure if it's the same layout, but you got me thinking it's not something that needs an expert costing hundreds of dollars to fix. I'm going to lug it back into the house (just moved to an old house that it would look perfect in) - and turn it upside down and have at it. The worst that could happen is that we can't fix it but at least we'll be seeing how it is put together underneath. :)

      You can replace those springs with twine. The point of them is so that the springs act as a unit, keeping them from moving side to side. I always tie them with twine. The springs are factory (quick cheap and easy) not custom.
