    If you think about it, both the Estus Shard and the Undead Bone Shard were both introduced in Dark Souls 2. I always forget that in Dark Souls 1, we had to kindle Bonfires and use Firekeeper Souls.

    My very first character in DS3 was a pyromantic Shanalotte clone with the (Varangian) Bandit Axe, way back in 2016, so I did a double take at the beginning! The premise is pretty unique, which is hard to pull off. Despite its quirks, DS2 is still one of the best games of all time in my book; glad to see people still appreciate it. 18:00 - A neat way to incorporate a DS2 consumable would've been to run past and use a Giant Tree Seed! I do it on most of my DS3 playthroughs, and that crowd of dogs and sorcerers is great at shredding LPS's health. They won't even heal if the _player_ hasn't dealt damage to them!

    37:00 maybe that fight with Nameless King didn't show Profaned Flame's strengths.
    Mostly when freeaiming, Profaned Flame can be placed well as a landmine and is able to knock down a number of foes like NPC fighters, both things are it's specialty, but lock-on cripples the ways it can be used.

    Liking these so far, especially leaning into themes and the like to make them more interesting than something more simple like using just one weapon or spell through an entire game(at least personally, makes those all very boring in a vacuum).
    Reminds me of how I sometimes like to do mono-Type runs in Pokémon or doing cosplay runs. Sometimes they’re not always that hard, but I end up getting to use things I normally never would, and like with these vids, I get to learn something new(which is usually not the case with a lot of runs for me).

    • @eleumloycee
      @eleumloycee  Рік тому +2

      I agree, I like runs that force you to switch up your gear. I've only done 1 run so far where I stick to the same thing most of the time (the gravelord miracle run). They may not be inherently difficult, but they are always fun right? :D

    • @lsfaraone
      @lsfaraone Рік тому

      Mm, indeed.
      One of my fave ones was doing a Havel cosplay run in DS3 in both NG and NG+, had to eventually get the full set and gear(which ofc requires getting to Archdragon Peak). From the beginning gave myself the restriction that until I could get there I had to use only great hammers and greatshields, with full armour so that I was fat rolling the whole time, and spent a while after getting Havel’s.
      Was surprisingly fun as I usually play a UGS, medium roll and fashion souls, so I had to get used to the fat rolling, great hammer movesets and utilizing blocks(which I always felt was horrible in 3, stamina just always disappeared too quickly since stuff tends to be more aggressive).
      And as an aside, even used that character in co-op with a friend cuz it was just fun to use(accidentally ended up summoned for the Halflight fight as the boss which was funny. Totally got destroyed by a three man gank squad, but still amusing).

    16:50 the Dancer even used a DS2 hitbox to make the run more legitimate

    Haven't seen a video with this premise and would love to see more like it, maybe a series?? Also, I don't know much about DS2 because I skipped that game going from DS1 to DS3 but still really enjoyed it and I really love how well put together your videos are. You're the only channel I have notifications on for and get exited whenever I get the notification. :D Hope you have a good day!

      Thank you so much! You should try DS2 sometime, it's very different from the other games but has so many cool little features and secrets!

    With you talking about the lightning urns, I feel like we need a consumables only run in DS2. Maybe even firebombs/urns only, which I know has been done before, but I'd love to see your take on it

    Hmmm. I start to think. Just as silly thought nonetheless I think you like DS2. BTW I glad that we dont need to wait as long for new vids as before. Keep it up!

    This was so much fun to watch! Not sure if you know, you can trade a vertebrae shackle for Lucatiel’s mask to complete the Mirrah set!

    Love the vid, nice idea and execution. Just want to say you don't actually have to kill Siegward if you want to face Yhorm on your own. Pretty sure he'll still reward you with the Slab if you just let him out after killing Yhorm.

    • @eleumloycee
      @eleumloycee  Рік тому +1

      Wait, really? I've never tried this because I'm always scared he'll just disappear after that! Thanks for telling me so I don't have to be evil anymore

    • @Queek_Headtaker
      @Queek_Headtaker Рік тому

      I'm not sure if you can get his armor or weapon if you let him out after defeating Yhorm, but he definitely still gives you the Slab, yeah. I'm pretty sure you can also keep him in the Cathedral well until you get Yhorm and then he'll go through his quest stages as normal once you help him out.
